I Became a God After the Apocalypse Game
I've transmigrated! "Ted, how could you be so relaxed at a time this critical?" Alan huffed and stormed toward the door. "Rally the troops! I will lead the charge—even if I must die for it, I will not allow those beasts into the city!" "Mr. Dankworth, what're you saying?" Ted suddenly snapped to attention. "Oh, right, you were unconscious. The eerie creatures have been driven off thanks to Mr. Nighthale and Mr. Jones. You needn't be so worried." Alan stopped dead. "Wait. What?" "I said the eerie creatures…" Ted hurriedly related the whole sequence of events to Alan. "Well…" Alan was stunned. So that's what happened. We defeated the eerie creatures, and Merrick tended to my wounds. The thought of having just imagined being reborn and transmigrated made him blush with embarrassment. He muttered, "I never would've expected there to be such a talent who can save Leafport from ruin besides Mr. Jones. Ted, where's this Nighthale now? I must see him and express my gratitude in person." "Mr. Dankworth, that is exactly why I came." He bowed respectfully. "Mr. Nighthale, Lady Riley, along with other honored guests, are waiting in the hall to discuss Leafport's reconstruction." "Lead the way." Alan stopped asking questions and rushed to meet them. Soon, he entered a big hall, escorted by Ted. Those seated inside were the surviving leaders who had held out in the battle. The dozen or so of them sat scattered in the hall. At the center sat three people, two of whom Alan knew pretty well. Sienna needed no introduction. Putting her royal pedigree aside, her striking beauty made her the focus of any crowd. The other was Merrick, the top-ranked powerhouse from the Hall of Supremes, who fought against the eerie creatures. So the identity of the remaining person was obvious. Alan stepped forward and bowed with sincere gravity. "I thank you both for your timely help. Without you, Leafport might not have survived. I formally offer my deepest gratitude on behalf of all the citizens of Leafport. From this day forth, you both shall be forever friends of Leafport."'Ding! You've earned 20 favorability from Alan.' 'Ding! You've earned the respect and recognition of Leafport's City Lord and acquired the title 'Friend of Leafport'.' The system chimes sounded in Aiden's ear, and he opened the Title Panel. 'Friend of Leafport: You stood up in the city's hour of need, helped Leafport survive the crisis, and earned recognition from its citizens. While holding this title, you will gain 20 favorability from citizens of Leafport.' 'Not bad." Aiden smiled. I pinched the boss in the open, and they thanked me for it. With this title and his existing Charisma Points, all the favorability would start at 88 whenever he met a Leafport citizen. Although favorability had no explicit cap, 88 was still a high level. As long as Aiden wasn't doing anything bad, he could do anything he wanted in Leafport. "It was nothing." Merrick had clearly lost weight and was exhausted, but still kept a composed air. He waved his hand. "I merely did what I was asked. It's part of my duty. Otherwise, I wouldn't have been involved in this mess. You should thank the kid instead." He nodded toward Aiden. "You shouldn't say that. Your kindness will not be forgotten. As for Mr. Nighthale…" Aiden's expression flashed with gratitude. "The same goes for him." 'Ding! You've earned 10 favorability from Alan.' Clearly, though Alan tried to be polite and impartial to everyone who had lent a helping hand, Merrick's remark had influenced him. Aiden said with a smile. "No need to fuss over me, Mr. Dankworth. Let's focus on the agenda here." "You're truly selfless," Alan praised before taking his seat. With Alan's presence, all those with authority in Leafport had assembled. It was time to discuss the agenda that Aiden mentioned—the post-battle reconstruction. At the moment, half the city was reduced to rubble. The once thriving Eastguard was devastated. Most of the intact buildings were in Westhand. So it was evident that the meeting would focus on who would gain control of Westhand. Alan took the report Ted had prepared and began to scan the compiled data. After some time, he looked up at Sienna and asked, "Your Grace, if I recall correctly, most of the properties in Westhand are currently vacant and have not been inhabited yet."
