SCARLET’S POV We returned from our visit to Crystal Realms Pack and Black Moon Pack in the late hours of the morning. Everything went well on the visit and right now there is no known opposition. However, I am yet to decide who would oversee the affairs of the other Packs as I can't vouch for the loyalty of the other alphas. I intend to decide before we leave. We were inside our chamber. The penthouse of the Packhouse was turned into our chamber. It is very big with a three-room ensuite and a huge sitting room. From here, we can see the full view of the Pack. Alpha Fred put in great effort to turn this place into a paradise. “My queen, we have not heard from Dawn since we arrived. I doubt if all is well with her” lord Nathan said. Yes, Dawn. I have not forgotten about her, but I felt she needed more time to be with her family after such a long absence. I know she will come to me when she wants. “You are right, lord Nathan. We have been here for three days now and she has not shown face. I was wondering if she still remembers that we are here” the Chamlee concurred. “No need to worry yourself, I believe she will come and see us soon” I replied. “Or maybe she came while we were away,” the Chamlee said. “That could be right, but then, someone would have informed us about it” lord Nathan replied. I gave his reply a thought and nodded. “True, if she had been here we would know about it” “Then I must find my way to the mansion. We must make sure that she is okay” lord Nathan said. “Nothing can possibly go wrong with her, she is with her family” I replied. Lord Nathan was not having it, he persisted. “Now I am beginning to think that it was a bad idea to have allowed her to leave us. You know the state of things here, especially with her father. That man should not be trusted even with his own child” “I still maintain that you worry too much, lord Nathan. About the state of things with Tim, I will look into that, and should he be found wanting, I will not hesitate to give him the punishment that he deserves. Him and that witch” I said. “I think I should go right away. I will be back before you know it” he said and went over to his room. “Okay, be careful out there, I wouldn’t want you returning as a zombie” the Chamlee joked and they laughed. “I need to freshen up and then take a nap. The journey was exhausting” I announced. “You should rest for a day or two so that you will not wear out. For a couple of days now, we have been on the road” Chamlee said. “I will take a long nap, I am so tired” I replied. “You come and give me a bath, will you?” I requested. He got up and came to pull me out of the sofa. ”You don’t need to ask” he whispered into my ear. We were on our way to my room when lord Nathan reappeared, he was set to leave. “I am on my way out, be back soon” he announced. “Lord Nathan” I called out to him. He let go of the door and turned to me. “Is there a problem, my queen?” he asked. “I was thinking since I am about to take a nap, why don’t we nap together, we will go to visit Dawn once we awake” I suggested. “You intend to go to the mansion?” Chamlee asked. “Yes, for Dawn I don’t mind going to the mansion” I replied. “Do you think that will be a good idea?” lord Nathan asked. “Yes, of course. Even I have not checked on her since we arrived and I would like to do that too. Let’s sleep, and we will all go later” I affirmed. Lord Nathan hesitated for a while before he returned inside. Just then, the door opened and Kendra stepped in. “My queen” she bowed. “What is it, Kendra?” I asked. “My queen, there is a young lady that is here to see you” she replied. “A lady, from where?” I asked. No one knows me around here, how then would a young lady be here to see me? Where is she from and what exactly is the purpose of her visit? “She is from this Pack. She says that it is very urgent to speak to you” she replied. “And did she reveal the reason for her wanting to see me?” I asked.“She would not say. She insists that it is urgent and personal. She said she is not allowed to let another into it” she replied. “Is that so?” I asked. “She has always come around for two days now and she was here throughout yesterday. She thought you were going to return” she said. This is getting rather serious. A strange lady has been coming here to see me. But then, I doubt if truly her reason is as serious as she claims. “Okay, I want to take a nap at the moment and she can come back by four. I will be going to Dawn by four and I can see her before doing that” I instructed. “My lady,” lord Nathan cut in. “Yes, lord Nathan” I replied. “Can you please allow me to see who the lady is? If it is as important as she said then I don’t think it would be proper to keep her waiting” he requested. I wonder why lord Nathan is getting overly zealous. Yes, I know his fears towards sir Tim, and I share such feelings with him. But I think he is taking the whole thing out of proportion and it is getting him all walked up. Sir Tim might be dangerous, but then there is a limit to what he can do. “It is always urgent and important, lord Nathan until you hear it. We will meet her by four. Whatever she has to say can wait until then” I replied. I turned to Kendra and ordered. “Tell her to be here by four” “Okay, my queen” Kendra kowtowed and walked away. “Since she has been visiting, I think hearing her out would have been the best” lord Nathan insisted. “She can wait until later. I don’t administer the affairs of the Pack yet, and moreover, no one here knows who I am. It might be one of the sycophants. We better take a rest and attend to her later” I said. “It will be four very soon, she won't have to wait for long” Chamlee added. “That is true. Whatever she has to say can wait for a few more hours” lord Nathan finally agreed. Having all arrived on the same page, the Chamlee led me into the bathroom to have a bath.
