BETA TIM’S POV “And I say, where are you off to this early?” Patricia yelled behind me. I am not going to listen to her, I don’t have the time for her nonsense today. I have better things to attend to. So I kept going, finding my way out of the mansion. “Talk to me, Tim. You don’t just ignore me, what do you take me for?” she screamed and appeared in my front. She stood before me, placed her hands on akimbo, and dared me to take another step. This woman, she is looking for my trouble this morning. She should know that it has not been easy for me, and I am going through too much at the moment yet she vowed to make life difficult for me. Now I regret that I have returned to spend the night here. She is nothing but a bag of trouble. “Get off my way now” I screamed. “And I insist that I will not move away. What can you do about that?” she challenged. “Why are you obstructing my passage?” I inquired impatiently. She is so impossible. She should pray that I don’t lose my patience with her. She is already getting me angry to the bones. “Where do you think you are going to?” she flared. “I am going to the Packhouse this very minute, and you dare to obstruct my way” I fumed. “And what do you have to do there at the Packhouse...?” I cut in. “I am still the beta of this Pack... you...” “Not as the beta, Tim. I hear rumours about your rendezvous with that witch. You are always with her” she accused. “That witch is the only source of your sons’ continual existence so you watch your mouth” I warned. She opened her mouth to speak but hesitated. “Now you leave my front” I barked. She better go away right now, because I don’t have the patience to deal with her anymore. I don’t want to do something regrettable.“You go nowhere. Tim. Mildrid promised that my sons will be alright long ago but even till now nothing has happened. She moved my sons to the Packhouse and still no improvement. Now she also has you by her side. What game is she playing?” she yelled. “See she is a woman like you so I will invite her over. I think you guys need some tete-a-tete” I replied. Hearing that I intend to invite Mildrid, her voice suddenly became low. “No, no you can't. I know that she only wants to help my sons, they will be fine soon” “So will you excuse me now?” I requested. Mildrid requires my presence this very morning. I don’t want to keep her waiting another minute. This woman, Patricia truly is my doom in life. Why did I even get hooked on her in the first place? I wonder how I ever arrived at the conclusion that I loved her. If I had known her like this, I never would have accepted her as my mate. Without saying another word, she walked away from me but surprisingly, she went to the door and closed it. “What...” I exclaimed. I thought she has given up, isn’t she afraid of what might happen to her? “You cannot threaten me, Tim, I will not fall for that. Every other person might be afraid of you, but not me. You will remain here. I barely see you around these days. What do you have with that witch?” she unexpectedly flared up again. “I don’t want to repeat myself, Patricia” I warned angrily. “Don’t dare me” she challenged, gnashing her teeth. There is no need to say more. She has crossed her limit and now I must deal with her. In a rage of anger, I walked over to her, lifting my legs one at a time. A rage of anger spiked through my veins as I stared at her disgusting stature. I am going to reap her apart. As soon as I got to her, I raised my hands and her legs lifted off the ground on their own. She was hanging in the air and screaming, begging to be spared. “What... what are you doing, Tim? Let me down... right now...” she begged. She fought desperately to free herself, but I took no mercy on her. My eyes were already red in anger and I was not more in control of my emotions. It was as if a strange and stronger force has taken over me. “I... I... am your mate... where did you get such... evil powers?” she cried.She was already getting weak, but the more she begged, the more fierce I became. I warned her but she wouldn’t listen. Now I will show no mercy. At a point, I started to squeeze my hand causing her to grab onto her neck in pain. I want to strangle her. “It will be over today, Patricia, who are you to dare to question Mildrid?” I heard myself say. What is happening to me, with what voice was I speaking? I sounded so hoarse and my voice echoed in the background. It was as if some evil has spoken through me. “You can't do this... Tim, please save me” Patricia begged amidst her struggle. Before I could react, I heard myself speak again. “And who are you to tell me what to do? You are too stubborn, now you will get what you deserve” Now I am sure that this is no more a child’s play. Whatever has taken over me is bent on killing my mate. What if she dies at my hands, what explanations will I give for killing my mate and the mother of my children? Oh no, I have become a monster. I decided to free my hand and bring it down. In that way, Patricia will be free. But as I tried to do so I discovered that I wasn’t able to. I was not in control of my hand anymore, I was not in control of any part of my body. I tried to scream but the only word that could come out was a scream, it says. “Dieeee...” Patricia was choking, she was already beginning to cough out blood. She is going to die, she will die by my hands. “Help...” she screamed. “Mother... father...” a terrified voice called. My hand immediately dropped and Patricia landed on the floor almost at the same time. I turned around and saw Sam. He had seen what had happened. “What are you doing, father, what is happening?” Sam was in shock. He could not believe what he had seen just now. “Save me, Sam, save me before he kills me” Patricia called out. I could not say a word, I was so ashamed of myself. I immediately turned around and dashed out through the door. If not for Sam’s intervention, I would have killed Patricia. I think it is high time that Mildrid took away her strange power, it is no good for me.
