The Wolves Beneath the Sanctuary

Chapter 71 To His Room

Jazzy "I'm sorry, that sounded wrong. Will you let me explain?" I ask Tychon, and for a moment I fear he will reject me on the spot. I am not sure why, but he just nods his head before he heads for the stairs, and I follow him to the dining room with lead in my boots. I know I didn't do anything wrong, but I also understand that my words sounded wrong, and unfortunately Tychon was unaware of what happened for me to utter those words. It did sober up Argos in a second, and he stays with Josy as I follow Tychon to a table in the back of the dining room. Sela places coffee in front of both of us before she excuses herself. I put some sugar in my coffee before I start stirring it, and I take a deep breath to tell Tychon what had happened just before I had walked out of my room."She hit you on the head with a pillow?" He asks with a twinkle in his eyes. "Oh, that is all you got from the story? The fact that that little nuisance hit me with a pillow." I reply with a smirk on my face, and I smile as I hear him laugh. It is an amazing sound, and I hope I get the chance to hear it more often. "What does it look like when Josy tries to give him a stern look?" he asks in between laughing, and I tell him to turn around, only for him to laugh even harder as she tries to give us a stern look. "Yeah, not very impressive." I say before I take a sip of my coffee. It takes Tychon a few moments to regain control of his laughter, and after a few sips of his coffee he asks me if I know what kind of shifter he is. "Yes, I know you are a Leopard, and I am ashamed to admit I didn't know until yesterday when Josy told me.I have been avoiding everyone; I wasn't ready to hear them talking about you. It took Josy and Alpha Lakota to wake me up, to show me I overreacted and to admit to myself that I owed it to you to explain a few things about myself." I answer him, keeping my eyes on my coffee. "I understand you were worried about Denali, and I understand why you were fearful having a Lycan as a Mate. I am not going to give you my story as an excuse, but as a background story to my reaction." I say as I look at him. I tell him about my first Mate and how Lakota found me that day. "I have always suspected that my parents knew what he had planned; my Dad was usually waiting for me to return from night patrol to tell me how pathetic I was. He would always tell me that I was worthless, and my fated Mate rejecting me was a confirmation for him. My Mom would never disagree with him, and she never consoled me afterwards, making me understand she agreed with him. It wasn't until a week after I left that I was finally able to think about what happened, and being away from that Pack made it possible for me to put it in perspective. I am not sure if my Mom knew what was going to happen, but I am sure my Dad did know. During the fight he made it clear that he wanted to use me to get a strong heir, but he forgot for a moment that I am a Lycan and that he never had been able to defeat me in a fight. I would have gone Rogue if Lakota hadn't found me that day." I whisper the last sentence; tears are streaming down my face, and somewhere during the story Tychon had placed me in his lap. He doesn't say anything as he holds me in his arms, and I bury my nose in his neck, inhaling his scent to calm myself down. I don't know how long we have been sitting there like that, but eventually I notice that the room is quiet, and as I lift my head I see that we are the only ones left. "I am sorry that you had to go through that, but I am glad he rejected you and that you escaped that fate. I know I didn't handle this any better than you did; I was raised with the knowledge that many feline shifters were rejected by Wolves and Lycans, and that fear made me reluctant to take a risk. We both made mistakes when we met, and there is nothing we can do to change that; all we can do is look forward. I want my Mate, and I will do anything to show you that you are worthy of love, that you deserve to be happy. Makucha hates how your family made you feel, but like me he is glad your first Mate rejected you. It gives us the chance to show you that we will do whatever we have to do to keep you safe, that your needs will always come first, and that we will show you what you mean to us every single day." He whispers in my ear. Dusk has been purring in my head since he started talking, and after mentioning the name of his Leopard she started flashing images of him mounting her. "Why are you blushing, Sweetheart?" Tychon asks, and before I can change my mind I tell him what Dusk is showing me. "Makucha likes the sound of that; he can't wait for Dusk to find out how he will feel inside her." He replies, and I have to press my thighs together. "Looks like you can't wait either; maybe we should continue this conversation in bed. I would like to find out if I can tame my little Lycan." He growls as his hand cups my core. I lean against him, spreading my legs to grant him access to my core, and I moan softly as he starts rubbing up and down. "We are going to continue this upstairs; I don't need anyone seeing what I want to do to you, and I sure as hell don't want anyone to hear the noises I am going to pull from your lips." He whispers close to my ear. I know that my panties are soaking wet, and anyone that walks into the dining room will be able to smell my arousal. He lifts me bridal style as he gets out of the chair, and he walks up the stairs to his room.
