The Wolves Beneath the Sanctuary

Chapter 547 Their Bond

Jospeh’s p.o.v. I still can’t believe what Jocelyn and I just shared, but I also know it was a first for her. I hold her close to my chest as we are both catching our breaths and I can feel it when she finally realizes what just happened. “I need to clean up and we need to go downstairs for breakfast. I want to go get a few presents, before the trial starts.” Jocelyn says quietly, after we have caught our breath. I sit up straight, making her straddle me and I kiss her deeply. It doesn’t take long before we are out of breath again and I slowly break our kiss, while I look into her eyes. “You are mine, Little Devil. Don’t ever forget that.” I say. “Get into the bathroom, I will keep an eye on these two.” She slowly gets of my lap and she pecks my lips before she walks into the bathroom. I turn my attention to Faye and Christian, both of them still in a deep sleep and I kiss both their foreheads as Jocelyn walks out of the bathroom again. I get of the bed and pull her in my arms again, seems like I can’t get enough of having her in my arms. I press my nose into her hair and inhale deeply, letting her scent comfort both me and Griffin. Soft murmurs from the bed get my attention and I turn to see both of our little ones wide awake. I peck Jocelyn’s lips before I walk to the bed to pick up Christian. “Take a shower, Indigo is on her way.” Jocelyn says and I hand Christian to Jocelyn, before I disappear into the bathroom to take a shower. The entire bathroom smells of coconut and it reminds me of Jocelyn, which isn’t a good thing for a certain part of my body. “She sure is a Little Devil.” Griffin growls softly and I know I will never be able to smell the scent of coconut ever again without thinking of Jocelyn.I am drying myself off when I hear the door open, I can hear voices from the bedroom and I know that Indigo has walked in. After finishing the rest of my morning routine, I walk into the bedroom to see both of them sitting against the headboard and our little ones are getting their bottle. “Daddy, Daddy.” Jenna yells as she runs into the bedroom, Joey right behind her with a smile on his face. I get down on one knee to catch her in my arms and I quickly get back to my feet, as Joey disappears behind me. My eyes are on the door and no one has to tell me that Bennett is right around the corner. “What is going on, Baby?” I ask Jenna and she giggles as she presses her face into my chest. “My little Niece thinks it is funny to tell me that she loves you more than me.” Bennett softly growls with a huge smile on his face, as he slowly walks into my bedroom. “Well, I am sorry for that. But you do realize that she is my Pup and not yours, so of course she loves her Daddy more than her Uncle.” I respond with a smile on my face. “Ouch.” Bennett says as he clutches his chest, faking big time to be hurt by my words and I hear the others in the room giggling and chuckling. We wait for Jocelyn and Indigo to finish feeding Faye and Christian, before we all head down to the main dining room. Two strollers are standing near a window, but Jocelyn places Faye and Christian in the same stroller and I see Mom looking at me strangely. I walk over to the stroller and pick up Christian to make a point. The moment he is in my arms, both of them start crying and I am not talking about normal crying. Both of them start wailing and in a matter of seconds Mom grabs Christian out of my arms and places him back into the stroller. “How is this possible?” Dad ask, the moment Christian and Faye stop wailing.“No idea, Dad. There is bond between those two that I can’t explain, but we have learned to work around it.” I answer him. After breakfast I take Indigo and Jocelyn with me, while Mom and Dad look after Joey and Jenna. We need to get a few presents, because tomorrow it is Christmas Eve and we want our Pack-members to join in White Mountain Pack tradition. On Christmas Eve we give each Pack-member a small gift, a gift to thank them for everything they have done. I know what I want to get for our Pack-members and I know where to get it. Jocelyn stops in front of the small shop that is owned by Aunt Eos’ Mom and I smile at the painting in the window, it is a painting of Griffin on Dad’s back. She always refused to sell the painting to me, she always said that when the time was right she would part with it and I always assumed it would be the day she dies. “Why don’t you go in? I need to place an order across the road, I will come pick you up when I am done.” I say before I kiss Jocelyn on her forehead. I run across the street to see if I can get everything I need and I smile when I see Milo waiting for me inside. “Mom send me here, she thought you might need some help.” He says before he points to the table behind him and I see he has already placed a few items on it. The gifts were never wrapped, because it made it easier to determine who would get which gift and I plan on honoring that tradition. Milo and I look through the store to see what else there is and I see him picking up two stuffed animals, both in a different color. He places them on the counter, before he points at something against the backwall and then he joins me again in my search. Half an hour later we are done and I even found something for Joey, Jenna, Faye and Christian. There are only a few more presents I need to get and I hope I can do it without Jocelyn or Indigo finding out.
