Ragnar’s P.O.V. I wake up with a smile on my face, it is almost two weeks ago that we all moved to Black Mountain Pack and I love the house we moved into. Aziza has asked Tullia and her Dad to decorate the nursery when we head back to the Council. Aziza wants to keep it hidden a little while longer and she picked out the furniture with Tullia, Elon and I just watch as the women made funny or horrifying faces at certain items. Elon has excess to my bank account so he can pay for everything we need, he objected at first but caved in once I told him that I had more money than I could spend in a lifetime. Given the fact that we can get older than five hundred years, you can imagine my balance, can’t you? I place my hand on her belly as she is still fast asleep, not that there is something to see yet. I just love the idea of our Pup growing in there and I enjoy lying next to her with my hand on her belly. Yesterday the Council informed us that we have to get back to the Academy, so this will be our last day here for a while and I believe Kaiden and Gunnar will have the most trouble adjusting to being away from home. They have to leave their Mates behind, while I get to take mine with me and get to keep her close. Luckily Elon and Tullia promised to keep an eye on the girls during their absence. “Captain, are you awake?” Gunnar asks and I growl softly before I reply that I am awake. He asks if I can meet him on my back porch and I frown as I wonder what the hell he wants to talk about. “Who was that?” Aziza asks and I tell her that Gunnar wants to talk to me on our back porch. “What the hell is going on with that idiot? Does he want Rosa to leave him?” She grumbles and I look at her in utter shock. “He told her he doesn’t want her to go to school, he sounded a lot like you from what she told me.” I jump out of bed and Aziza giggles as I almost collide with the door to the bathroom. “I will straighten the idiot out, Sweety. I won’t let him make the mistake I almost made. Can I threaten him with sending you after him if he doesn’t man up?” I ask and she starts laughing as I look around the corner with a fake pout. I open the backdoor and get almost knocked on my ass by a very furious Rosa. “I hope you can knock some sense in to him, before I ask Aziza to do it.” She growls and Aziza tells me through the mind-link she will honor Rosa’s request if it is needed. I walk away from the house with Gunnar right behind me and I wonder why he is acting this way with Rosa. We all saw where she came from, what she went through and she out grew it all. She knows she can’t change her past, but she will use it to help others. “Gunnar, you better explain yourself. This is nothing like you, you hated me when you found out what I tried to do to Aziza.” I say as I keep walking towards the hill, Aziza took me here the day we officially moved here and I understood immediately why she loved it up there. “Rosa told me that a handful of Pack-members were not present when we got there and one of those men had told Rosa she would be his to use, once Roger was done with him. If she goes to school, there will be no one there to protect her. I can’t lose her, Ragnar.” I see the tears running down his face when I turn towards him. “She told Aziza that not everyone was accounted for and the Council send a Squad out to look for them. Why didn’t she tell Aziza about the threat the guy made? We could have spent the last two weeks looking for the guy instead of enjoying our time off.” I grumble and that is when I realize that that is exactly why she didn’t tell us. “Well, he is around here somewhere. She ran in to him a few days ago and she was so shaken up by it that she blurted it out when I asked her why she was so stressed.” He replies and I don’t waste time mind-linking Elon to meet us at the house. Rosa tells us about the guy that threatened her and when and where she saw him. Elon knows a little bit more about Rosa and Anna than the rest of the Pack and he promises Gunnar and Kaiden that they will be safe at school. “The school they will be attending is on Pack grounds and that means they will be able to link anyone if the guy shows up. Next to that there are guards stationed around the premises of the school, I will tell them to keep a close eye on Rosa and Anna. Most of them know from which Pack they are and they will do anything to make sure that nothing will happen to them. Gunnar, I understand that this is difficult for you. As a Father I hate it every time Aziza is send on assignment, but I have learned to trust her and the Squad she is with. You will have to learn to trust us in looking after your Mate and I promise you that Tullia and I will keep an eye them as well.” Elon looks Gunnar in the eye and we all can see that he is genuine in his statement. “Thank you, Elon. I will feel a lot more at ease knowing that you and Tullia will keep an eye on them. If it is possible I think it will be good if we all meet with some of the guards, so the girls know who to go to if it is necessary.” Gunnar states and Elon nods his head. Aziza’s P.O.V. Alpha Ewan was more then willing to introduce Rosa and Anna to some of the guards after Gunnar explained what had happened a few days ago. Now we are waiting for the guards to show up and put Gunnar’s mind at ease. A knock on the door makes us stop talking and Ewan calls the guards in. One of the men stepping in to the office looks at me and his eyes widen when he recognizes me. “Hey, Hot Stuff. Did you get in to trouble again?” He asks and Ragnar growls at him, I put my hand on his knee to calm him down. “Sorry, I didn’t mean any disrespect. My name is Alec and we grew up together, my Father is one of the Pack Deltas.” Ragnar looks at Alec as if he wants to knock him out and I have to stifle a smile as I see him taking a step back. “Alec, this is Ragnar. My Mate and Captain of this Royal Squad. Ragnar, Alec was and still is my best friend. He is the only one that was ever able to understand me if I was going to fast in explaining something. Alec and I always competed to see who would find my Father’s switches and misplacements first, unfortunately Alec always lost.” “Well, no one can compete with that brain of yours.” He said with a pout and that send Ragnar in to a fit of laughter. I ask Rosa to tell Alec where she saw the guy from her old Pack and I ask Alec to keep an eye on the girls when we are not around. Alec turns to Gunnar and Kaiden and says “We will protect them with our lives. The Council needs you focused on you job and we will make sure that you can do that. What do you want us to do if we happen to catch the guy?”Gunnar and Kaiden stare at Alec and I grin at the expression on their faces. “Gunnar, this Pack believes they owe the Council for training me and for clearing their Gamma from accusations made against him. They will do what they have to, to keep the girls safe. These guys are the best this Pack has to offer, Alec is the best Delta after my Father and the only reason for that is the fact that I chose the Council over my position in this Pack.” Gunnar chuckles at my words. Alec talks to Gunnar and Kaiden for a few minutes and they introduce him to Rosa and Anna. Alec introduces them to the rest of his team, just so the girls now who to run to in case of an emergency. Just as Alec and his team are about to leave Ragnar gets up and walks over to Alec. “Alec, thank you for keeping an eye on the girls. I know I have it easy, because I get to take Aziza with me. My men will not like leaving home, but knowing that you and your men are here will make it a little easier.” He says as he extends his hand towards Alec. They shake hands as Alec tells him it is no problem, because they are part of this Pack. We spend the rest of the day with my Father, Tullia and Brennon and I love watching Ragnar interact with my baby Brother.
