The Wolves Beneath the Sanctuary

Chapter 104 Our New Home

Josy I am waiting outside the library for Ivan and Malik; today they have a different tutor. Mylana and Peter followed Alpha Lakota in one of the SUVs they would need for the way back; Mylana will determine if the Pack-members Jazzy picked are to be trusted and will be allowed to become a part of Crystal Blood Pack. One of our Pack-members used to be a Gamma in a small Pack, and after being set up by his Brother, he chose to remain in hiding. Today he is telling our Pups about what a Gamma does, what his training was like, and both boys had been looking forward to it. After lunch, I will take the boys to our cottage to show them the finished end result; I hope they like their bedrooms. I moved all our belongings to the cottage after I dropped the boys off for their class; a few Warriors helped me out, and I have already unpacked everything.Josh opens the doors of the library and one by one the Pups walk out. All of them are talking about their class of today; it sounds like Mylana made the right decision to ask a Pack-member to teach the Pups about the position he once held and the training that comes with it. Malik grabs my hand when he reaches me, and Ivan starts walking in front of us as he is telling me about everything they were taught today, both of them very excited about it. Lunch is very loud as every Pup is telling their parents about their class, and I smile as I see some parents trying to quiet their Pups down, but they could have saved their breath. "Okay, I have a little surprise for the two of you." I say to Ivan and Malik once they are done with lunch, and both ask me what it is. "It wouldn't be a surprise if I told you, but I want your opinion on the colors I chose for the cottage. If there is something you think I should change, I might be able to do it before it is ready to move into." I say, and both of them jump out of their seats. Each grabs one of my hands to pull me out of my chair, only to come to the conclusion that I am stuck between them and my chair. They almost run out of the Pack-house, too excited to see the end result, and I can't wait to see the look on their faces when we get to the cottage. They have only seen the outside of the cottage; I had decided to go with a light moss green with light brown details. The front porch of the cottage was added to the cottage, making the inside of the cottage bigger than it used to be. Peter and I had taken into mind that I wanted a big family, and to have enough room, we needed to use the entire old foundation for the cottage itself. Above the front porch is a canopy with a high sort of roof; Peter filled it with glass and placed lights behind it to give it an inviting look. On both sides of the front door, we placed furniture; each side has a two-person egg-chair that are facing one another and a round stone fire-pit on each side. I found so many outdoor furniture pieces I liked that I had trouble deciding what to get, and Kanoa gave me something to think about when I showed him a patio daybed. It made it a little easier to make the final decisions; I ended up choosing a couch for one side of the front porch and on the other side I placed swivel rocker chairs. There are a total of seven bedrooms upstairs; six are connected to a bathroom, and the master bedroom has an ensuite bathroom and a walk-in closet. Each room is big enough for a king-size bed and a desk for our Pups or Cubs to do their homework; the master bedroom is to the right of the front door, and the rooms for Ivan and Malik are on the other side of the front door. "Aunt Josy, there is furniture on the front porch." Malik yells as he runs up the steps, and both of them are running from left to right and back again. I smile as they try each piece of furniture; they both keep going back to the egg-chairs, and I am glad I chose the ones with wooden frames. They might have tipped the iron ones over with the way they jump onto it."Okay, let's go inside and see if there is something I need to change." I say as I open the front door, and both run inside with smiles on their faces. The living room makes up one half of the ground floor, with floor-to-ceiling windows facing the Warrior building and huge sliding doors to the backyard. The other half of the ground floor is for the kitchen with a seating area on both sides; at the front of the cottage, I placed a small seating area, and at the back of the cottage, a huge seating area. I wanted to have a seating area to be able to have dinner with a lot of people, but a cozy, small one if it would just be a few of us. Again, the boys are running around from one side to the other, yelling how much they love the interior and stopping dead in their tracks whenever they see a picture on the wall. I tell them to check out the first floor, and I already know that I will be hearing a lot of yelling from both of them. They turn to the right at the top of the stairs, and the first room they run into is the master bedroom. "Aunt Josy, this bed is huge." Ivan yells as I see him diving onto it, and after both of them have tried the bed and walked around the room, they walk into the first room across the hall.
