The Pack’s Lost Daughter
Third Person's POV On the day of the wedding, the entire Imperial City was shaken. Luxury vehicles packed the roads until they nearly choked the entrance of Mistyhowl Mountain Lodge, their polished bodies gleaming like ranks of armored beasts gathering for a coronation. The ceremony site was breathtaking—moonlit banners, silver sigils of packs, and fresh blossoms infused with wolfbane incense. There was no father to escort the bride. Aysel walked the long path of flowers alone, step by step, her spine straight, her gaze unwavering, until she reached Magnus. She did not need to be handed over. She chose where she stood. Giovanna, half an elder on the groom's side and half a mentor on the bride's, stepped onto the platform to give the blessing, speaking as both pack elder and teacher. Before the gathered wolves and humans alike, the pair exchanged rings, sealed their vows, and kissed deeply. Below the stage, Skylar cried so hard her shoulders shook. Beside her, Serena stared in panic, baring her teeth in a helpless grin while scrambling to hand over tissues. Nearby, Zenia, once the class leader, now sat beside Agnes, the fearless she-wolf who had charged headfirst into the entertainment world as the lead of her new film. Watching their investor Skylar cry herself into a mess, they took photos with one hand and loudly teased the inseparable newlyweds with the other. At another table, Alfie Sanchez, newly returned from South America, sat with the rest of the Sanchez family. He took in the chaotic yet warm scene, his eyes curving as he smiled and applauded. A butterfly had finally found the land best suited for its wings. Here, it would remain free—and radiant—forever. Beyond the brilliance of the ceremony, the world was quiet. From a distance, Alpha Remus, Luna Evelyn, and the brothers Fenrir and Lykos watched as the bride appeared… and then disappeared into the light. They remained there until the ceremony ended. They had not been invited. And they had no face to attend. This was the only way left to walk her part of the road. In a short span of time, the once-proud couple seemed to have aged more than a decade. After Celestine was imprisoned, they managed to recover part of the money she had gained by selling off stolen patents—but it was far from enough to erase all debts. A family of four woke each day calculating survival. Accustomed to vast estates, they now crammed into a run-down three-bedroom apartment. With distance gone, friction grew sharper. Arguments were constant. Fenrir and Lykos even came to blows more than once. Their noble arrogance had long been worn away. Like ordinary wolves, they lowered their heads to seek work, counting every coin, every bill. The suffering Aysel once endured alone after leaving home now returned to them—multiplied. Tears slid down Luna Evelyn's cheeks. In this life, she could never make it up to her daughter. If there were a next… she would hold her properly. Magnus did not shy away from publicity. He allowed the media full access, openly welcoming the world to witness their vows. The wedding of the Shadowbane Alpha became a legend, discussed for years to come. In a dim room far away, Damon stared at his phone as news clips replayed—congratulations flooding in for Magnus and his Luna. He drank again. He had once stood close enough to claim her place at her side. It was his own mistake—irreparable. Even now, he still bore the legal title of Celestine's husband. The door opened. "Your father and I are divorcing," Luna Blackwood said flatly. "I'm leaving the country. Are you coming with me?" The Blackwood Pack was in decline. The production chain had collapsed. At the most critical moment, Quentin had fled with the funds. With nothing left to gain, there was no reason to remain bound to a rotten union. Damon did not answer. She did not press him. Since injuring Celestine and Dariusz at the wedding and spending time in detention, he had returned to this dark room—drinking himself into gastric bleeding, even landing in the hospital days earlier. She placed a bank card on the bed. "If you live properly, this will keep you alive. Damon… take care of yourself." Then she left. She had given up on this fallen son. Fortunately, Alpha Blackwood was not the only one with illegitimate heirs. She had her own. Beyond the sea, under a vast sky, she could start over. The room was left with only Damon—this time, no gentle girl to soothe him, no mother to pull him back from the abyss. And in prison, the woman who had dragged him down fared no better. Celestine would spend the rest of her life behind iron bars—alive, lucid, and endlessly tormented. News of Julia's triumphant solo performance, and of the mysterious, beautiful choreographer known only as L, had barely faded when headlines of the Shadowbane Alpha's wedding swept across every screen. The brightness outside made her loneliness unbearable. She tried to contact the Moonvale Pack, hoping for a visit. Every attempt was rejected.Staring at the screen—at Aysel's radiant smile—her tears surged uncontrollably. If, back then, she had not tried to steal her life… If she had simply hugged the younger sister who offered her candy and said, thank you— Would her fate have been different? "What are you daydreaming about? Hurry up and fetch water for the boss!" a prison lackey snapped, striking her head. Celestine lowered it, numb, and walked toward the water room. Her life was not over. But it had already ended. The End .......................... My dear readers, Thank you so much for following my story! Finally we’re here.
