The Pack’s Lost Daughter
Third Person's POV Celestine's voice trembled as tears gathered in her silver-bright eyes. "I never imagined the one to sink their fangs into my back would be my own fan," she said, her tone cracking into a bitter laugh. "You begged me to keep that recording for your... private appreciation. I softened. I agreed. And you stole my work." She lifted her chin, gaze sweeping toward the reporters-a pack of scent-hungry wolves ready to pounce. "That night she told me everything. Her family was failing, debt swallowing her whole, and she wanted to claw her way out through dance. I pitied her. I offered comfort. But as a dancer and choreographer under the Moon Goddess's oath, I will never tolerate theft. Today, let everyone bear witness: no matter how pitiful she seems, I will pursue the law of the Packs to its end." From the edge of the stage, Damon watched her trembling expression, something sharp twisting in his chest. If Dariusz were still alive, he thought grimly, he never would have allowed Celestine to suffer this humiliation. And yes-Damon had been neglecting her lately because of Aysel. The realization soured his mood, his wolf pacing with irritation. His voice cracked like thunder when he spoke: "Move," he growled at the reporters, his Alpha command rolling through the hall, heavy as storm winds. "What do you want-push her until she breaks?" A long-ruling Alpha's fury carried weight. The moment he unleashed his dominance, the reporters shrank back, some stumbling away. Even the spectators and live-stream viewers wavered, swayed by Celestine's tears and Damon's protectiveness. Had they truly wronged Celestine Ward? There were still countless inconsistencies-timings that didn't add up, choreographic changes that miraculously matched the original-but wolves were emotional creatures. And Celestine's reputation had always been immaculate. Her admirers were many. Seeing their goddess cornered, many couldn't help but defend her. "Maybe she was framed. ‘Windchaser' is too valuable. A poor student seeing an opportunity... it's not impossible." "She has too many rivals. Could be sabotage." "Just say Julie's name already." "It was Julie who suddenly skyrocketed in resources. Maybe she found herself a powerful Alpha." "But Julie did dance better." "We're getting off track." Among those in the hall who knew more of Moonvale Pack's grim family history, whispers sharpened into blades. "She might not be an outsider. Didn't she appear tonight?" "You mean Aysel Vale? Didn't they sever ties? Enough hatred to last lifetimes." "Well, who wouldn't hate after what Moonvale did? I'd want them to suffer for generations." "But she left Moonvale. How could she orchestrate something this large?" "You forget who stands behind her now." Silence crackled-tense, electric. The Moonvale wolves, Damon, even Fenrir and Alpha Remus heard every whispered speculation. They wanted to defend Aysel-but the situation favored them for now. And truthfully, doubt had already crept into their hearts. Of course, for every voice questioning Celestine, another voice challenged her. Emotional pleas were one thing. But the other side had proof-real, tangible, spirit-binding evidence. Tears were nothing in comparison. Online and in the hall, both sides clashed fang to fang. Yet no one noticed the sudden shift in the front row of the theater. That was where the leading figures of the continent's dance world sat-Alphas, Lunas, and elders whose influence shaped art across the Packs. Their expressions turned grim, their wolves bristling. Plagiarism was minor. Tonight's accusation was far worse-stealing another wolf's creation and taking the credit under Moon Goddess witness. Among wolves, such an act was a blood-deep insult, a violation of spirit and honor. Sofia, who had once considered inviting Celestine Ward into her international dance company, watched with frost-hard eyes. A wolf whose character failed the test-she would never accept into her ranks. They did not rush to condemn. Instead, each lifted their phones, searching through the evidence circulating online. And more importantly- They sought the video of the other girl.
