Seraphina Is Back—and She’s Not Alone
Since when did Thomas turn into such a softie? This is nothing like the cold, untouchable Thomas I know. Michael narrowed his eyes, increasingly suspicious of him. As the host wrapped up their speech on stage, the lights began to dim. Gradually, a platform rose, revealing Thomas and Seraphina as they appeared together. A spotlight focused on a sleek black piano, where a girl sat, radiating with a fiery glow. Her silver fox mask added an aura of mystery and elegance, making her seem almost untouchable. The first piano notes floated into the air, soft and fluid, like ripples spreading across a still lake. The gentle melody filled the arena, quieting the crowd as they were drawn into its soothing rhythm. The music felt like a cleansing rain, its clarity sweeping away every distraction. Just as the audience fell under the piano's spell, a rich, magnetic voice joined in. The two elements intertwined seamlessly, creating a natural harmony that felt like they were made for each other—each amplifying the other's beauty. The song was created to highlight the vocals, now seemingly having them follow the piano instead of leading. The spotlight seemed to shift entirely— it was no longer about their idol but about the enigmatic Miss Fox, who appeared to steal the show. By the time the performance ended, the crowd roared, "Encore! Encore!" Seraphina rose gracefully from the piano and bowed, her movements calm and composed, before the platform sank back down. Dora watched Seraphina's performance in the VIP section, not with envy but awe. The way Seraphina shone on stage left her with nothing but admiration. To the audience, it was a flawless performance. It was nothing short of masterful to Dora, who understood the effort behind it. Next to her, Evelyn was amazed and gazed at Miss Fox. She wondered, Why is Seraphina hiding her face? If she showed herself, she'd become a superstar overnight. She sighed, abandoning her earlier excitement about bragging. With Seraphina in a mask, there was no way to prove they were friends. Meanwhile, Linara and Aidan watched the show from another section. Though Aidan wasn't a pianist himself, he had enough knowledge to value the displayed skill. Impressed, he commented, "Thomas' accompaniment is incredible! That girl on the piano is something else—she plays like a seasoned pro and is so young!" Linara nodded, though the praise made her feel uneasy. She wasn't a fan of her brother praising other girls. Her eyes drifted toward the VIP section, and she frowned when she noticed Seraphina's absence. "Aidan, I don't see Seraphina up there," she stated quietly. Aidan quickly redirected his attention away from Miss Fox. Following Linara's gaze, he scanned the VIP section briefly before rolling his eyes. "So what?"He leaned back, his tone sharp. "She made a big deal about how capable she was, but where is she now? Just a lot of empty talk. Linara, you're too nice. Not everyone deserves that from you. Keep your distance from her, okay?" "Alright," Linara hesitated, but eventually nodded. In the backstage area, Seraphina carefully removed her silver fox mask and returned it to its sandalwood box before handing it to Thomas' assistant. After changing out of her performance attire, she sat at the makeup table and began quietly removing her makeup.
