Seraphina Is Back—and She’s Not Alone
Faced with Juliette's confidence that Seraphina would relent, Seraphina couldn't help but pity her misplaced certainty. Without a word, Seraphina brushed past Juliette, bumping her shoulder as she went. "You're delusional. Get help," she said flatly. Juliette's face flushed crimson with anger, her glare burning into Seraphina's back. "Juliette, don't let her get to you. If she doesn't want the tickets, I'll take them! Just name your price." "Yeah, yeah, don't stoop to her level. She'll regret it soon enough." Placated by her classmates' reassurances, Juliette calmed down, though her mood was still sour. Meanwhile, Seraphina returned to her desk, pulling a textbook from her drawer and focusing on her exercises. Around her, the classroom buzzed with excitement over the upcoming concert in two weeks. Shane observed her quietly, surprised by her lack of reaction. From his experience, whether they were quiet bookworms or rebellious teens, every girl turned into a lovestruck fangirl at the mere mention of Thomas Foster. Yet, here was someone utterly indifferent to the star's allure. Just then, a male student burst into the classroom, breathless and excited. "Big news! Linara Whitewood is cleaning the restrooms—second-floor girls' restroom!" The group surrounding Juliette scattered instantly, dashing toward the second floor. Seraphina closed her textbook slowly, stood up, and followed the crowd. By the time she arrived, the corridor outside the restroom was already packed with curious onlookers. Inside, Linara was scrubbing away, wearing a mask and holding a brush. A bucket of water sat beside her. As she struggled to lift the bucket to pour water over a toilet stall, she nearly toppled over, spilling water all over herself. She looked utterly miserable. Kelly, watching from the doorway, hesitated. "This is enough, isn't it? Linara's already shown her sincerity."Carmen and Abigail stayed silent, but Milly spoke up firmly. "The agreement was to clean the entire restroom. Backing out now would be breaking her word." Linara forced a smile through her exhaustion. "It's okay, Kelly. I can handle it." As she painstakingly moved from one stall to the next, Abigail's resolve wavered. The murmurs and laughter from the crowd outside filtered in, adding to the tension. Just then, Skyler and Theron arrived in a rush, having heard the news. Dora, hearing that Skyler was on his way, glanced at Linara. The girl was putting on a pitiful display, playing the victim for all it was worth. Dora's mind wandered to Seraphina's earlier words. Spotting a bottle of hand soap nearby, Dora casually leaned against the counter and, with a discreet motion, twisted off the cap. When Skyler and Theron entered, drawing everyone's attention, Dora seized the moment to toss the bottle toward Linara. "Linara!" Skyler called out.Linara turned toward him in response, her face lighting up with joy. She took a step forward—only to slip on the spilled soap. In the blink of an eye, she lost her footing and pitched forward. Thud! The bucket clattered to the ground, and Linara landed face-first against a toilet bowl, her position awkward and humiliating. The restroom door, which had been closed, was now wide open thanks to Skyler and Theron's entrance. This allowed the crowd outside to witness the entire scene. A collective gasp rippled through the onlookers, none of them expecting to see Linara on her hands and knees, scrubbing a toilet. Inside the restroom, the others were equally frozen, including Skyler and Theron, who seemed too shocked to move. "Wow… that reeks," Dora muttered under her breath. Her words, though soft, carried clearly through the room, reaching everyone's ears.
