The Apocalypse Wolf Queen

Chapter 73 No Room for Doubt

Third-person POV: No reason. Just an order. An order with zero room for refusal. They were young and full of fire—who didn't want to charge into battle? But when they met Thora's firm, unwavering gaze, every protest froze in their throats. In her eyes was not only command, but a weight of trust. "The guns in your hands aren't just for killing. They're for protecting your teammates. Understand?" Thora barked. "Yes!" The two of them straightened at once, standing tall. Werewolves were born with wild instincts and bloodlust. The scene before them looked like a military drill, and everyone in the basement stared at Thora with growing awe and respect. Even their hearts trembled at her words. Malcolm narrowed his eyes slightly. This Thora... she's no ordinary student. As he thought when this was over, he'd have to pull her file and take a good look. Someone like her didn't belong to be stuck in Class F. Thora finished speaking, then led Shirley, Harvey, and the others out. For those who followed her, it felt like being chosen. Pride surged in their chests. Leaving with Thora felt like proof of their worth, enough to make their blood burn. "Remember, every move must follow my orders. If not, you're responsible for your own injuries," Thora warned before they left the basement. Harvey and Ashton Smith immediately nodded. The others exchanged hesitant glances, but finally gave firm nods. "Got it." Only then did Thora start laying out her operation plan. To rescue the hostages trapped in the library, they had to move unseen and avoid any enemy patrols along the way. Through her earpiece, Luke relayed the positions of the mercenaries from the surveillance feed, while Thora studied the campus map, plotting their infiltration. What she didn't know was that most of the Greywolf mercenaries were already hunting for her. Lance's target had changed. His goal was no longer just to destroy Astralis College—but to find the one who had ruined his plan. ... Outside the campus. "Mr. Stanton, these are the insulated suits sent by the Alpha," Carl said, signaling for a few soldiers to bring over a crate.Hugo tore his gaze from Astralis College. "Insulated suits?" Carl gave a polished smile. "The Alpha says the electric barrier won't last much longer. But to be safe, better suit up." He then glanced at the tech crew nearby, busy sending out radio signals. "And if the Alpha's right, Astralis College's defense system should be breaking soon. You can start preparing your men to move in." Hugo's expression tightened before he nodded. "Understood." Only then did he notice that while he'd been giving orders, Darius had disappeared. "Where's Mr. Blackwood?" Hugo asked. Carl smiled faintly. "The Alpha had something urgent and left early. I'm sure you'll handle the rest just fine." Inside, he grumbled to himself. There was no way he could admit the Alpha had rushed off ahead—charging in alone just to see his future mate.Hugo suspected something but didn't push it. People from the Nightclaw Pack—especially the Blackwoods, the Alpha's family—were never easy to read.
