The Apocalypse Wolf Queen
Thora's POV: The moment the gray wolf crashed down, it reverted to human form. The referee immediately rushed forward to check and shouted loudly. "Fighter 26, deceased! Fighter 25, victory!" "No way! He was going toe-to-toe with Fighter 25 just a second ago. How could he just die like that?" "Even though his combat ability was weaker than Fighter 25, his wolf power level looked pretty high. Even if he fell, it shouldn't have killed him outright, right?" The crowd erupted below. Harvey and Ashton were equally shocked. "He wasn't even seriously injured. How could a fall like that possibly kill him?" But I sensed something was off. When Fighter 26 fell just now, he was clearly gripped by a suddenly intensified gravitational force. The instant he hit the ground, his internal organs were shattered. This kind of injury couldn't be saved in time, and it definitely wasn't from an ordinary fall. This wasn't caused by Fighter 25's wolf power but by a special ability! I looked at Fighter 25. When his opponent suddenly died, he froze. His wolf ears drooped as he glanced up warily, then quickly reverted to human form and slunk backstage. I followed his line of sight upward and quickly locked onto a man's back. It's him! Lingering traces of ability energy that hadn't fully dissipated still clung to him! "Alright, next up is my turn!" As Harvey's excited voice rang out, I hastily muttered, "I need to step out for a bit," and left the arena. I blended into the crowd, secretly following the two men and one woman ahead. "Boss, I'm sorry! It's just been so long since I had this much fun," Fighter 25 said, scratching his head. The woman laughed coldly. "Looks to me like you almost forgot why we're here in the first place. If you'd played around any longer and those people had discovered us, we'd be playing hide-and-seek all over again." The man called "Boss" casually stuck one hand in his pocket. His steps suddenly paused. "You two go wait outside," he ordered. Clearly, he'd noticed my presence. I made no effort to hide my presence because I wasn't trying to follow them to a destination.I just wanted to confirm this ability user and to find out how strong ability users in this timeline really were. So after his two subordinates left, I flashed directly in front of him and threw a straight punch at his face. This was a close-quarters move that could quickly break through defenses. He reacted extremely fast. While dodging sideways, his arm wrapped in pale golden wolf power swept toward me with tremendous impact force. I bent down to avoid it, my fingertips emanating faint blue ability energy. Using the momentum from my turn, I struck toward his side. But as if he'd anticipated this, his other hand instantly covered itself in dark purple energy, forcibly blocking my ability to attack and using the collision's force to grab for my wrist. We became locked in combat. Each of his punches layered the brutality of wolf power with the sharpness of ability energy. Even the wind from his fists carried scattered energy ripples. I could only rely on evasion techniques honed in the apocalypse to circle around him, occasionally using my pale blue ability to block and barely avoid his attacks. I couldn't use my wolf spirit's power. And the man before me was an ability user who'd awakened his wolf spirit. He was comparable to a hybrid of werewolf and witch. He had both the werewolf's powerful physique and wolf power and the ability to control special powers for magical attacks. He was far more terrifying than a pure werewolf or ability user alone. I'd originally thought I wouldn't last three minutes, but during the fight, the pale blue ability energy inside me suddenly became active. Not only could it condense into a shield faster, but it could even wrap a thin blade around my fist. My explosive muscle power also surged dramatically. Those attacks that previously required my full effort to dodge could now be evaded with a simple sidestep. This body's physical strength far exceeded my understanding of it. But ultimately, I still couldn't match him. He grabbed my wrist and pulled me into his hold, pinning me against him. "You're interesting!" he said with a cold laugh. As he questioned me, I felt excruciating pain like electric current coursing through my entire body. It was a new ability he'd just released. Gravity, electricity ... In the apocalypse, werewolves evolved abilities through battles with mutants, but most had only single abilities. The only known dual-ability user was me. That's precisely why the Lycan King feared me and saw me as a potential threat. But this man before me already had at least two abilities that I'd detected.Who the hell was he?
