The Apocalypse Wolf Queen
"This partner is someone you know very well. According to the file, he's also the person closest to you." Thora's expression changed instantly. Davis smiled and added, "The head of Skybound Group and sole leader of its scientific team—Mr. Darius Blackwood." Thora immediately turned toward the door. A long leg in tailored suit pants stepped inside first. Then a tall, lean man in a suit came into view. He walked up to her in a few strides, smiling gently. "Thora, it's been a while." She didn't say a word. Her face was blank, only her sharp eyes locked tightly onto him. The look made Darius's heart itch. He wanted nothing more than to pull her into his arms and kiss her. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Mr. Ewing," Darius said, giving an elegant bow.Davis nodded slightly. "Greetings, Mr. Blackwood." "I've been stuck on flights nonstop. If there's nothing urgent, I'll get some rest. We can talk tomorrow about the next stage of cooperation," Darius said with a smile. Davis didn't stop him. "As you wish, Mr. Blackwood." Darius smiled, reached out, grabbed Thora's right hand, and pulled her along as he headed out. She stumbled forward slightly from the sudden movement but didn't resist, letting him lead her away. Davis raised an eyebrow, seeing everything clearly. Darius wasn't here to inspect the research division or discuss work. He was using business as an excuse to see his mate. Last month, he'd even taken the academy exam under an alias. Now he was here again. His intentions couldn't have been more obvious. Still, Davis had no interest in interfering. Compared to Darius, Thora was the one he cared about more. Something about that girl felt strangely familiar. Darius led Thora out of the office building and leaned close to her ear, whispering, "Thora, where are we going?" His warm breath brushed against her ear, making it itch slightly. Thora's gaze cooled. She grabbed his wrist and pulled him forward instead. Darius followed obediently, letting her drag him along. Watching her cold, sharp profile, he couldn't hide the smile on his lips. Most students were in class, so the campus was almost empty. The grounds were huge, and the route Thora chose didn't cross anyone. Darius noticed the path getting quieter, with fewer people around. "Thora, you dragging me like this is really exciting," he said with a low laugh.Thora still didn't answer. She took him straight to her dorm building, opened the door, and yanked him inside. The moment they entered, Darius flipped the situation, pressing her against the door with one hand while closing it with the other. Their breaths tangled, warming the air between them. Darius lowered his head to look at her. Their eyes burned bright. "Why are you here?" Thora wasn't used to such an atmosphere, but she didn't resist as he pinned her. Instead of answering, Darius leaned down, pressed his cheek against her neck, and gave it a light bite, sending a numbing shiver through her. In a low, tempting voice, he whispered, "Thora, I missed you. Did you miss me?" Thora's bottled emotions finally broke loose. She twisted his arms behind his back, turned, and shoved him hard onto her bed.Darius didn't resist at all. If anything, he looked pleased. She pinned him down, strange heat rushing through her body. Her voice came out rough. "Do you know the way you act makes me really want to—" Before she could finish, Darius freed one hand, grabbed the back of her neck, and kissed her fiercely. Thora never hid her feelings. Right now, all she wanted was to shut him up by taking control of his lips. They went from locking arms to gripping each other's hands tightly. At first, they struggled, each trying to overpower and control the other. Gradually, it turned into a tight embrace. The room grew hotter and more intimate. Darius never behaved during a kiss. He kissed her deeply, his hands roaming. "Thora, I think about this every single day..."
