The Apocalypse Wolf Queen
By the time Thora finished checking the rankings, it was already getting a little dark. Just as she was about to go back to find Shirley and Tristan, a student in a standard blue uniform stumbled toward her. He was carrying something that wobbled in his hands. Thora frowned and took a couple of steps aside to avoid him. It was obvious. But the guy seemed like he had zero aim and lunged straight at her. He was practically hopping on his legs, his face twisted. "Hey, can you help me?! Emergency!" Thora remained silent. She didn't want to help. Didn't he see me already stepping aside? Before she could even respond, he shoved the lunch box into her hands. "Quick! I can't hold it! Just take this lunchbox to the library, 13th floor, Section B, by the window! That's it. Don't worry about anything else! Thanks!" And just like that, he bolted off, hopping like crazy. Even after ten yards, he still looked back to shout, "Make sure! You have to deliver it!" Thora froze where she stood. Out of nowhere, she'd been forced into a random errand. She looked at the lunchbox in her hands. The library? Fine! Call it a favor. Thora checked the academy map in her head and found the library's location. She turned to head toward the library building, carrying the lunchbox. Meanwhile, in the cafeteria... "Why hasn't Thora come yet?" Shirley muttered, poking at the food in front of her and picking out the stuff she didn't want to eat.Luke couldn't help but say, "Do you know why you'll never grow taller?" Shirley's face changed, glaring at him in annoyance. Luke said flatly, "Because you're very picky with food." She was visibly annoyed. Ugh, someone please send an alien to take Luke away! By now, both of them had also switched their uniforms to a different color, no longer the lowest grayish blue. They were among the very few freshmen who had already changed uniforms. It made sense—they had ranked high in the entrance exam, so it was normal that they got the upgrade fast. "Hey, freshman, mind if we get to know each other?" The sudden voice of a man made both of them look up. It was a tall, broad-shouldered man, and the way he looked at Shirley carried a kind of aggressive vibe that made people uncomfortable. Deep blue uniform. Third tier in strength. Luke quickly picked up that information. "Sir, do we know each other?" Shirley grinned, smiling cheerfully. She wasn't wearing her cap, and her twin ponytails made her look tiny and cute—like a comic-book kid. She also had a cool, tough streak—a contrast that made her strangely charming. But her words instantly made the man's face darken. "Mike, what are you looking at?" Carlos asked, puzzled, following his gaze. Lately, Mike had been acting weird, always wandering into the regular cafeteria. And he insisted on dragging Carlos along. Later, Carlos realized it was all for one person.Apparently, it was that cute girl. "What did you just say?" The man who had come over to talk to Shirley sounded dangerous now. The smile in Shirley's eyes faded. "I'm just saying, you're old and ugly, and you think you can hit on me? Give it a rest. Don't think pretending to be important makes you someone special!" She didn't even pause, every word full of mockery. Luke thought to himself. Oh no, Shirley probably wasn't in a good mood to begin with, and this guy just poked the bear. If he pushed her any further... "Bastard!" The man roared, reaching out to grab Shirley by the shoulder.)l
