The Apocalypse Wolf Queen
Valen took Thora straight to the examination site. He made several phone calls to different instructors. During the final call, Thora heard a familiar name mentioned Roxen. "This is the Command Institute's admission examination command system," Valen said, arms crossed, his gaze fixed on the large transparent VR training chamber ahead. His voice was low and steady. "The rules are simple. Control the system and complete all assigned tasks. Clear every stage, and you pass the admission exam." Thora studied the equipment inside the chamber. At a glance, she grasped the logic of the test and stepped inside without hesitation. The moment she entered, three instructors in dark blue military uniforms arrived. Seeing Thora inside the chamber, displeasure spread across their faces. "Valen, what are you doing?" "A freshman could never pass this exam." If not for Valen's status, they might have erupted on the spot. The difficulty of this exam had been jointly determined by multiple Command Institute instructors and deliberately set at an extreme level to prevent arbitrary transfers. Without solid military fundamentals and extensive combat experience, passing was virtually impossible. Valen cast them a cold glance. "I suggest you reserve your judgment until you've watched." The three instructors were all senior figures within the academy. Two were from the Command Institute, and the third was a core instructor responsible for departmental assignments. "But the Command Institute has never admitted female students," one of the Command Institute instructors said seriously. "This is not discrimination. We trust scientific assessment to ensure the most suitable training plans." At that moment, Roxen, who had just arrived, halted mid-step. A female? His gaze shifted toward the figure inside the training chamber. A flicker of surprise passed through his gem-green eyes. Thora… was a woman? "Science is a standard, but it is not the only standard," Valen said firmly. "If she can pass the exam, that proves she is fully compatible with the command system. Would you not agree?" The three instructors nodded in agreement, though the instructor responsible for assignments still seemed inclined to argue further. "There's no harm in discussing it after the results are in," Roxen said as he walked forward. The blue-black student uniform made him stand out even more. "Don't you think so, professors?" Valen turned and nodded. "Roxen."The other instructors visibly softened upon seeing him and greeted him in turn. "Roxen is right," Valen echoed. "Very well, we'll wait for the results," said Harold Chambers, instructor of the Command Institute with a faint smile. "I also hope to give the dean a satisfactory explanation. This is the first time in years that the admission exam has been activated." There was unmistakable displeasure in his tone toward Valen's decision. At that moment, the system inside the training chamber activated, drawing everyone's attention. Simultaneously, the command system's data feed appeared on the light screen in the Command Institute dean's office. The dean sipped his coffee as he watched the footage. Ordinarily, student departmental assignments didn't require his personal attention. But since Valen had made a point of inviting him, he was curious to see what kind of freshman dared to challenge the Command Institute's admission exam. Inside the training chamber, once Thora activated the system, the environment instantly shifted into full 3D virtual mode. The system was strikingly similar to the training system Darius had previously developed for her, only more advanced and far more specialized. In this scenario, her role was supreme commander. She had to operate modern military equipment, coordinate naval, ground, air, and special forces units, and also respond to primitive battlefields with no technological support. This included commanding wolf warriors to fight in wolf form, engaging in close combat, and coordinating cold weapons, all testing her ability to command across every possible battlefield environment. The system simulated a large-scale military exercise. Explosions, gunfire, and hand-to-hand combat were rendered with complete realism, while simultaneously testing her psychological resilience and military discipline.Outside the chamber, as the instructors watched the real-time command data, score fluctuations, and Thora's calm, composed performance paired with her overwhelming combat strength, their mouths remained open in stunned silence. Every single metric she achieved was a perfect score.
