When the Galaxy Wept

Chapter 79 Couldn't You Coax Her?

The moon was shining over them in a cold and soft manner. His fingers were magical, making every inch of her body tremble under his touch. He gently kissed her face, and when she opened her eyes, she saw him looking at her with such intensity she had never seen on his face before. The room was quiet, with the only sound being the splashing water surrounding their bodies, his low breathing, and her teeth clenched moaning; or the curse she cried out when she couldn’t bear any longer. After some time of extreme pleasure, she was dazzled and exhausted. Too exhausted to even open her eyes, the excitement soon disappeared, and the surrounding became silent. Nevertheless, she vaguely felt him touching and kissing all her body. His burning embrace was irresistible to her, making her want to fall into a deep sleep forever. When Emerald woke up again, she heard a voice asking her. “You fell asleep?” It was Malcolm. She recognized herself in Patrick’s arms as he was carrying her home. She heard Malcolm ask her. “Was the spa good?” Patrick seemed to smile and said, “Nice.” Malcolm lowered his voice, “After ten years, I finally see a woman with you. It would be best if you made things right. Even the blind could see that she was angry with you. Couldn’t you coax her?” Patrick was silent for a while before he answered. “She seemed unwilling, but it doesn’t matter.” Hearing it, Emerald held her breath. She heard Patrick continue. “No matter what her feelings are, she can’t escape.” Curious to see the expression on his face, Emerald opened her eyes at the exact moment he happened to look down at her. At his quiet sight, she understood immediately that his words were directed to her. The night behind him was a dark background, but more mysterious than the sky were his gazing eyes. His undisguised possessiveness was hidden in those deep eyes, making her feel distraught. He was more unpredictable and attractive to her. Patrick was already gone when Emerald woke up the following day. She knew that he was keeping a strict life routine with extreme self-control under his wild appearance. The more she thought about him, the more she felt for him. Recognizing her feelings, she felt frustrated with herself. When she opened the door, she saw Ilona standing in the hallway, smiling, as if she had been waiting for her for a long time. “Madam!” Ilona blinked her big eyes. “The Commander carried you away and didn’t allow us to follow him.” Emerald felt angry amused and glanced at her. “Why did you take me to that spa, knowing it was like that?” Ilona’s eyes were wide open. “Like that? What was it like?” Emerald knew she was pretending. Patrick told her last night that Malcolm and his soldiers were tricky as foxes, so Ilona must be just like her boss, dark and delicate on the inside and sweet and innocent from the outside. Emerald chooses not to focus on last night anymore and just says calmly. “I will ask the Commander to transfer you to the space fortress to do the cleaning if you set me up again.” Ilona felt embarrassed and exclaimed in frustration. “Mrs.! You really are loyal to the Commander!” Emerald didn’t respond to her. Patrick was supposed to stay in the base for three days, but the second day he told Emerald that they would be staying there for three more days to study with Malcolm how to use the technology of the robot men and blood hawks. Although Ilona was Emerald’s tour guide, this town was little compared to a big city like Freedom City, and it only took them half a day to see all the landscapes of the southern hemisphere. After staying in the plane factory for another half day, Emerald had almost memorized the whole production process and components of a plane. She felt bored, and all there was left was to wander around with Ilona in the base during the day. On the third morning, she received a call from Foxy, making her feel happy. She had been forced to go with Patrick and felt sorry for not having time to inform Foxy about her venture and had been unable to contact Foxy and the others since they had been on a task. Now she finally was informed that Patrick had immediately sent another pilot as a substitute for Emerald that day. Foxy was talking endlessly on the phone, “Kitten, that Captain was really handsome and strong…”Emerald didn’t know what to say or how to respond and simply hung up the phone. She hadn’t noticed Patrick coming in and sitting down opposite the sofa from her. He was focused on reading a book, not paying attention to her. She turned on the TV casually and changed to the Alliance channel. A beautiful anchorwoman was aggressively criticizing the fact that the mercenaries had occupied a planet with human civilization and demanded that the Commander of the mercenary announce it to the people of the Alliance. Emerald couldn’t help but glance at Patrick, but he was very calm, as if he didn’t hear anything. Instead, he looked up because he noticed that she looked at him. “Bored?” “What?” “You said on the phone that you feel bored.” “..Yes,” Emerald answered calmly, “but I think I should learn to get used to it.” It seemed that she didn’t have any other value at this point than having sex with Patrick at night. Patrick seemed pleased by her words as he smiled at her. “It’s essential that we study how to improve the plane.” He stood up, turned around, and said, “I’ll arrange for someone to send you back tomorrow morning.” After a while, Emerald finally realized that he was explaining to her why he was staying here for such a long time. “Then can I do tasks?” She asked. Without answering, he went back to the plane factory, meaning that he allowed her to go back to work. Emerald sat back happily and took the phone to call Foxy back, but then she stopped. Although the days were boring here, she couldn’t help but keep thinking of his handsome figure after he left. She was feeling a little reluctant to leave him. Her nostalgic feelings were interrupted as Ilona came in. “Madam, let’s have some delicious food today!” Ilona said happily, “and have lots of drinks!” Emerald couldn’t help laughing.
