When the Galaxy Wept

Chapter 197 Prequel: When Can We Run Away?

Tucker Sayer felt desperate but calm when the fighter crashed into the Zerg Planet. His squadron lost the rebellion battle, and his fighter was the only one left. He wanted to make a suicide charge at the Zerg fortress and die with his comrades if he could, but Selena, who sat in the co-pilot seat, screamed and cried, grabbing his spacesuit, because she didn’t want to die. He could only make a compromise. But was it better to be a captive of the Zerg than to die? He didn’t hesitate to pull Selena into his arms when the fighter crashed onto the ground. Although he didn’t like this girl, who loved the army but was extremely weak at all, he would still protect her. The power of the blast wave hit Tucker. He felt his organs were broken into pieces. Selena, in his arms, shouted anxiously, “Hey! Captain! Don’t die! What should I do if you die....” “Shut up!” He shouted with his eyes closed, then he passed out. It was dark when he woke up. Tucker found that he was lying on a lawn, and he could see the beautiful stars in the sky. The mountain in the night was like a black dragon crouching on the ground. At that moment, he thought that he was on the Alliance planet. Although the Zergs were dirty and disgusting, their planet was as beautiful as the humans’. He struggled and sat up. The crash didn’t hurt him severely despite the strong blast wave. “You’ve woken up! Great!” A pair of soft arms suddenly grabbed him excitedly. Selena’s beautiful face seemed pale in the starlight, and her eyes suddenly sparkled. She suddenly put her head into his arms like a drowning person grabbing a piece of wood.Selena was popular on the team, and she always made friends with the rich pilots. She had never paid attention to the poor Tucker Sayer though they had cooperated for half a year. But now, she was holding him tightly. Tucker pulled her up in embarrassment and looked around. They were on a pile of low hills. He saw the broken, black wreckage of his fighter over ten meters away from him at the foot of the hill through the thick woods. He was surprised that Selena could drag him for such a long distance. But he thought it was reasonable. This princess could only depend on him in this situation, so she had to save him. Selena seemed to notice his emotions, so she reached out her arms to him, “It took me so much effort to drag you here. You’re so heavy!” Her eyes were sparkling, and her voice was soft.“Thank you.” Tucker wasn’t used to women talking to him like that, “How long have I been in a coma?” “About half an hour.” Tucker frowned. They were lucky that the Zerg hadn’t found them after staying here for half an hour. But they would soon be found if they still stayed near the wreckage. “Stay here and wait for me.” He took a deep breath and stood up. “Where are you going?” Selena was nervous because she was afraid that he would leave her behind. Tucker was surprised. Everyone on the team knew that he was a good man. Did Selena think that he would leave her, a weak woman, behind in this situation? “I need to take the things we need on the plane.” He explained with patience. Then he dragged his body and walked carefully to the wreckage.Maybe the battle in space was so fierce that no one found them after they stayed on the planet for five days. They had hope again that they could run away and survive. The houses of Zergs were distributed in the mountain. Tucker and Selena hid in one of those houses. There were no Zergs in it, maybe because they all participated in the war. The “house” was actually a cave-dwelling, with lots of dry fruits and dead animals. These foods didn’t go bad in the cold weather. Tucker also picked some fresh food, and they had food for a month. They didn’t dare to go outside. They felt peaceful staying in the house and walking around once in a while. At night, they would each sleep in one corner of the cave. Tucker liked to sleep on the ground near the window because he would feel safe when he could see the stars in the sky. Sometimes he thought that the situation was much better than he expected. He had mountains, a beautiful sky, a house, and a beautiful girl with him. He could even see this as a trip if he was on a human planet. Although Selena was a little bit noisy, the life here was livelier with her since he didn’t talk too much. It seemed that Selena was used to depending on men, so she always looked at Tucker with affection. Tucker was a vigorous young man, and he blushed when she stared at him. Another man would’ve fallen in love with her already if he wasn’t Tucker. Selena finally expressed her feelings clear on the fifth night. He didn’t wear any clothes on his upper body that night, sitting under the window. Selena took the first-aid box on the plane to change the dressing for him. This was the hardest moment for Tucker every day. Selena’s fingers were like fish, sliding around his waist. It was reasonable for those men to have feelings for her. Her hands touched his abdominal muscles tenderly, and she stared at him innocently with her black eyes as if she was hoping for something. After wrapping the bandage, Selena suddenly raised her arms and held Tucker’s slim waist. “Captain...” She breathed heavily, “When can we run away?” “I’m not sure. In the next few days, I’ll...” Tucker’s back was as numb as a mountain, but his words were sealed in his mouth by her. She kissed him, and there was even anger in her eyes. Maybe she was angry that he lacked the sense of romance. Her soft boobs were rubbing his firm stomach, and Tucker felt that a part of his body was hard. Although Tucker thought that he was resolute enough to only have feelings for his wife in the future, he blushed, his heart was beating fast, and he even wanted to hold Selena in his arms.Selena immediately noticed his changes, and she felt that Tucker acted in accordance with her expectations. But Selena’s look made him angry and embarrassed. He suddenly pushed her away and stood up.
