When the Galaxy Wept

Chapter 188 Get Out Of My Way

Emerald was surprised, “I know. You can go with me. I want to go to Freedom City.” Yorick was going to arrive in Freedom City today, and she thought that Patrick would send people to take her there, but no plane came after she waited for half a day. Since Yorick came from Earth, he was quite important to Emerald. She wanted to ask him more about the details of the Earth in the past with Patrick. She thought maybe she could figure out why she and Patrick traversed millions of years and came to Galaxy Eternity. She didn’t expect that the soldiers would look at each other after she made this normal suggestion, and the one in the lead said in embarrassment, “My lady Marshal told us many times that we couldn’t let you step into danger. If you want to go out, can I give the Marshal a call?” Emerald was silent for a while and nodded. After she turned around to go back, the soldiers ran away to call Patrick. Emerald felt uncomfortable. Although she knew that Patrick was protected this way because he worried about her so much, she still felt that she was imprisoned. He was like Evan Silas now. It was weird. Half an hour later, that soldier didn’t come back. Emerald understood that the call was only his fudge. How dare they lie to her? It must be Patrick who told them to do so. Did he hide something from her because he wanted to do something dangerous again? Emerald started to worry about him. After a while, she knew what was going on. When she mentioned attacking the machine men with the virtual humans that night, Patrick interrupted her. She could understand that Patrick must have made a promise to machine men, and he didn’t want to break it. Would there be a confrontation today because of how Patrick handled the machine men problem? When she thought of Yorick Gabe’s smiling face and the virtual human’s ability to jump between spaces and the fact that Patrick had been tortured so much that he lost the combat power, she couldn’t sit there anymore. She calmed herself down and immediately called the officers’ wives who lived near her. Since they hadn’t met each other since she returned, they were very happy to get here. After talking for several minutes, a lady suddenly shouted, and the mercenaries outside the door suddenly came in. It was chaotic in the room with women shouting and children crying and meddling with the soldiers. A soldier wanted to stop Emerald, but Malcolm’s wife rushed to him and suddenly shouted, “How dare you!” That soldier was stunned. Emerald easily got out in the chaos. The officer who was guarding the parking apron was Emerald’s student before, and he was very excited to see her. The student didn’t hesitate to take her to a Cheetah because of her identity. The fighter soon landed on the airbase of Freedom City. After she got off the plane, Emerald felt that the situation was quite serious now because all the mercenaries were waiting, and pilots were staying in the Cheetahs with the engines on as if they were waiting for a war. Emerald called Patrick, but he didn’t answer it! Then she called Malcolm, and he answered! Malcolm said in confusion, “I have gone back to the southern hemisphere. My task was only to take those half-machine men to the hotel...” Emerald arrived at the hotel and was soon surrounded by military police. The massively armored vehicles were parking on the street around the hotel. Emerald was surprised. What was Patrick planning to do? Why did he let the military police, his private army, stay here? “Go away!” She shouted to the policeman who stopped her, “Don’t you know who I am?” The policeman didn’t step away, so she took out her gun and pointed it at his head,” Get out of my way!” When Emerald reached the top floor, she heard the bumping noise and sharp fricative sound more clearly. Since the hotel was tranquil, she could hear the sound on the first floor, and the sound was like thunder. She finally came to a trembling room. The second after she carefully walked over the gravel and fragments of pillars on the ground and put her head into the room, she saw that the blue light suddenly disappeared, and Yorick’s virtual body suddenly became clear. He thrust his fist into Patrick’s body, which seemed to be as powerful as thunder and lightning. Patrick leaned on the corner of the wall, glancing at Emerald, who stood by the door. He seemed to be determined about something and suddenly closed his eyes to take in that powerful fist... “Stop!” Emerald was frightened, and she immediately raised her gun to shoot at Yorick Gabe! Yorick stopped his move and turned around in surprise to see Emerald rush to him. She glared at Yorick angrily, “Why do you want to hit him?” She ran to Patrick and held him, standing in front of him. “Go back.” Patrick grabbed her waist and wanted to push her away. “Shut up!” Emerald shouted angrily, “Don’t you know about your situation? Why are you fighting with each other? You both do things for humans, and you shouldn’t force him even if he doesn’t want to kill the machine men!” She said the last sentence to Yorick Gabe. Yorick didn’t understand why Patrick’s energy field suddenly disappeared and let him hit him freely. Now he finally understood after Emerald rushed in. Then, in a surprise, he looked at Patrick, “She doesn’t know about it?” Patrick’s face was solemn, and he glared at Yorick angrily behind Emerald, and he said to his wife, “Go home!” Emerald still pointed her gun at Yorick, “I won’t let you go if you hit him again. Even if I can’t kill you, millions of people in the Alliance won’t let you go.” She moved Patrick, and his eyes became soft. Yorick looked at them coldly, and his body became clear again. “It’s a piece of cake for me to kill you.” He said in an emotionless voice. Emerald’s countenance changed, and Patrick looked at Yorick deeply, “I’ll agree on any of your conditions. I will retreat my army, move or disarm my army as long as you want.”
