When the Galaxy Wept

Chapter 151 Why Do You Take Me Here?

Anyone who wants to hurt the machine men will pay the cost as well as his families.” Khalil was surprised, and Evan kept saying, “Arrest all the rebels who attacked the hospital today.” Kahlil still looked calm, “I’ll try. But I was not there, and I heard that they were all in disguise. It may take a long time to make a thorough investigation with such a huge population.” Evan looked into his eyes, “Kahlil, maybe Doyle’s behavior was stupid. But what I hate more than foolishness is betrayal. Doyle called you this afternoon, and then the rebel army showed up. I also checked your communication records. You have contacted someone in the encrypted channel. Do l need to notify the military tribunal?” Kahlil’s tan face was shining in the dim light of night, and he finally ground his teeth and said, “Brother, I owe Patrick Lewis a life! Although humans and machine men are different species, were the contributions I made in Galaxy Eternity not enough to save Patrick Lewis?” Evan Silas looked at him calmly, which made Kahlil sweat slowly. “Your military rank will be reduced to major general.” Evan said, “He is responsible for this accident. He will have nothing left except his life.” After a while, Kahlil said, “Okay.” Then Evan said, “I want a woman.” Kahlil was focused on saving Patrick’s life, and he laughed out of surprise when he heard that Evan wanted a woman. He said, “What woman? I can get you any woman you want. Do you want to have a try after you have gotten into the human body?” “I don’t need you.” Evan thought of something and smiled, “My guards had just reported to me about her identification and location.”**** Emerald felt anxious when she woke up. Patrick had already gone to the training of the troop, and only she was in this empty room. Last night, the doctor came secretly and told her that she couldn’t move vigorously anymore. She had made a plan with Patrick that she would hide in the basement if something weird happened that day. But she didn’t expect that the weird thing would happen so fast. At eight o’clock in the morning, she had already finished her breakfast. Then she locked the door of the room and the basement and fell asleep on the lounge in the basement. She had a dream that Patrick was carrying their one-year-old son, and they were laughing on the lawn in the sunshine. The dream was so sweet that she was still smiling when she woke up. Then she saw the familiar gray ceiling and a familiar room. But she shouldn’t be here because this was Patrick’s Mansion in Freedom City, which was the command center of the machine men now. She sat up, feeling extremely frightened. She was really in that mansion. She automatically touched the holster under her long dress, and it was empty! Then she touched the hidden layers which contained the stagger, and it was also empty! She felt extremely anxious now. She was in a bedroom on the second floor, and she recognized the decorations she chose when she got married. She rushed to the door and pulled it. There were metal rails outside the door. Someone had put a row of hard metal rails outside the room, making it a cage. Emerald didn’t know what to do now. She knew that she was taken here quietly when she was asleep. She was terrified and sad. How angry would Patrick be when he came back home and couldn’t find her? Would she ever see him again? Would he have no idea whether she was dead or alive? She didn’t want this to happen. No. No matter how hard it would be in the future, she would try everything to go back to him. She calmed herself down, went back to the room, and sat on the sofa. Soon, it was already evening, and the sky was dark outside. She sat by the window with metal rails outside and stared at the garden downstairs. Patrick must have been home now. She felt upset. Why did the machine man take her here? Was it because she hurt Evan Silas in the hospital or because they wanted to threaten Patrick with her? Then Emerald heard the clear footsteps in the hallway. Emerald could feel that someone was approaching her, and her body was cold now. A tall man showed up at the door. The metal rails were lifted and then put down after he went in. He walked to Emerald with his eyes fixed on her. It was Evan Silas who simulated Heath Ledger. “We have met again.” He said in a low voice, with a smile in his eyes. “Why do you take me here?” Emerald stared at him, “I had no choice but to hurt you in the hospital yesterday. My husband and I don’t want to be your enemy.” Evan Silas was as cold as water, and he stepped up to her. He was wearing a silver uniform, looking down at her. “No, this has nothing to do with your husband.” He looked at her peaceful face and smiled, “The last one who stabbed me with a lightsaber was thrown into a decompression chamber and crushed into pieces. You are the first one who can hurt me in the past a thousand years. What do you think I am going to do with you?” Emerald shuddered with fear. It was alright if he punished her or tortured her. Emerald thought if he wanted to kill her, he would have done it already. But now, he locked her up in this room and said those ambiguous things, which made Emerald even more frightened. But he was a machine man. Did the simulation of Heath Ledger give him the emotions of humans? “What do you want to do?” She looked up at him without fear. Evan Silas suddenly breathed in, and his eyes turned dark, “Give me your hand.” Emerald knew that she couldn’t be his rival even when she was a hundred times stronger than she was right now, so she didn’t dare to refuse him and reached out her left hand. Evan’s big hand suddenly grabbed her wrist. Emerald saw something silver passing by, and her arm suddenly ached. She didn’t see his move clearly, but he had already lifted her bleeding arm and lowered his head in the next second. He licked Emerald’s wound with his cold tongue. Emerald tried to pull back her arm when she felt itchy and numb, but Evan grabbed her even tighter. Then he sucked her arm even harder! “Let me go!” Emerald was angry and anxious, struggling to free herself. The machine man must be crazy! Why did he drink her blood! He wasn’t a vampire!
