When the Galaxy Wept
Under the bright white light, eight strong military policemen surrounded a tall man and prepared to attack him with a solemn face. The man was also half-naked, and his handsome face and his broad back were also covered by sweat. Nevertheless, he glanced around seriously and said, “come on.” The military policemen were like a bunch of excited panthers, punching him from different directions! However, he was undoubtedly the winner in this primal and fierce battle of strength and skills. He swiftly avoided the punching from all directions like lightning and then hit back even faster without hesitation. Every time he dodged the attack of the military policemen, he would punch on them ten times heavier! Those strong bodies with muscles were like sponges under his fists and legs! Some of them, who were extremely swift, could also hit him on his face or chest, making him tremble. But that little pain was almost nothing for him, and he wiped his blood on the corner of his mouth and grabbed his soldier, and punched him with his right fist, which made him fall onto the ground and frown because of pain. The whole process lasted for less than five minutes. The eight-strong men attacked him at least three times each until they couldn’t stand up. Their faces were all bruised, but they were reluctant to give up, but the military policemen who were watching them were all very excited. Patrick was also hit many times, and his chest was also bruised, there was a bruise on his left face, and the corner of his mouth was bleeding. However, he was not hurt so badly compared to the military policemen. He said to them in a low voice,” you have made progress. Andy Swan, you are too slow. You’ll die if you meet someone perfect, no matter how strong you are. Lafe Shury, speed is the most important thing in boxing. It’s pretty good that you hit me once, but you should keep hitting me instead of stopping to see whether I’m injured.”The military policemen burst into laughter. Patrick gave advice to every man and pulled them from the ground one by one. “You go on.” He passed them and walked directly to Emerald, who had been sitting in the chair on the side. Emerald stood up. She had never seen Patrick like this before. His body was dirty, with blacks taint on his chest, shoulder, and even on his face. His short black hair was messy, and his handsome face was a little swollen because of the punching, and it seemed a little maniac now. But he had shown an air of freedom and wildness that he had never shown before as if he had released all his power of youth which was hidden under that Commander uniform before. When he approached her, Emerald was immediately surrounded by the smell of sweat. Emerald never thought that he would have so much sweat.“Why are you here?” He looked at her with his head lowered, and he noticed that she was looking at his chest, so he stepped forward so that her face was closer to his chest. “I didn’t know that you were so good at boxing.” Her face blushed when he approached her. “It is for survival.” He said calmly and reached out his arms to hold Emerald’s waist and walked out of the field with her. He didn’t wear upper clothes and left his body half-naked and walked slowly back to the bedroom with her. When they went back to the room, she was also covered with the smell of his sweat, and there was some dust on her skirt. He was usually clean and neat, but now he was also delighted and took her directly into the bathroom. When they walked out with their bodies clean, he still didn’t want to let her go, but he thought of other things when he saw her blushing face and bright eyes, so he took her to the reading room on the other part of the house. He put her on his leg and turned on the floating, 3D LCD computer. “Look.” He said in a low voice and opened a folder on the desktop. Emerald was suddenly very excited when she saw the subfiles in the folder. They were Chinese characters. The files were titled with square Chinese characters. There were history, culture, military, etc., she clicked on one of those folders, and lots of information was released on the desktop. She randomly opened a file, and it was an analysis report of American weapons. “Where, where did you get these?” She asked in a trembling voice. “Do you remember that robot planet?” He looked at her astonishing face, “this is the information left by Saul Silas in the underground of the palace.” She opened other files, and she saw Historian Records and even a world map of the Earth. She felt excited and miserable. How did Saul Silas find this information? How was the Earth connected with that First Machine Civilization, which was already destroyed? How would Patrick view her history? “Patrick.” She gently called his name. “Hmm.” “Thank you.” She was going to cry. “Thank you for keeping these for me and letting me know that the Earth really existed. But how should I find the Earth since the machine civilization was destroyed? However, it didn’t matter if I couldn’t find the Earth as long as I could stay with you. I didn’t feel that miserable with your protection and the love you made me feel.” He noticed that she was upset, and after being silent for a while, he took the little metal tag that he always wore with him from his collar. Then he put it on her as she looked at him in surprise. The oxidized metal seemed to be tougher, lying on her fair chest. He gently touched the edge of the metal and said in a low voice, “10 years ago, I woke up on a barren planet with only this name tag, not knowing what had happened. The tag is written, ‘Patrick Lewis.’ Emerald had never heard him talk about his past or heard the history of the Commander from others. She felt sad and weird when she heard the sudden wake-up of him ten years ago. Suddenly woke up? Just like her? He mockingly smiled when he saw her surprised face, “do you know how to write these two words?” Emerald nodded and wrote Patrick Lewis in the font of the Alliance in the air. “No.” He suddenly grabbed her fingers and slowly drew in the air, “you should write like this, ‘Patrick’!” She was stunned, but he ignored her reactions and kept writing with her trembling fingers, “Lewis.”
