God-Tier Like System
The purpose of the Recovery Tracking Mirror is to restore scenes from three hours to one day ago in specific locations and determine the whereabouts of individuals during that time. It can only be used once! From the moment these thugs killed the bodyguards, abducted Chloe Stevens, and informed Harold Myers to come and see, it was evident that these individuals had already been moved to a highly secure location before carrying out their actions. It appears that these people first kidnapped Chloe Stevens, confirmed their success, and then immediately proceeded to abduct Ling Rou. If it weren't for her, Ling Rou would have undoubtedly fallen into their hands by now. Even for well-trained individuals, accomplishing these tasks would take a considerable amount of time. It must have been at least three hours, so using the Recovery Tracking Mirror is feasible. "Ding! Congratulations, Host, on successfully utilizing the Recovery Tracking Mirror." After Christopher Yard mentally issued the command, his eyes suddenly sparkled. Immediately, a virtual screen materialized in front of him. The screen resembled a mirror, but its visual effect was different. A scene unfolded within it. Chloe Stevens appeared, and shortly after, a hooded person rushed in from outside, pointing a gun at Chloe Stevens. Chloe Stevens didn't dare to resist and was knocked unconscious by these individuals. After being rendered unconscious, Christopher Yard witnessed these people carrying Chloe Stevens into a Hummer. Several bodyguards' lifeless bodies lay beside the vehicle. Subsequently, these individuals drove the Hummer from a smooth road onto a rough country road. Ordinary cars would not be able to traverse it, but the Hummer could. Christopher Yard then observed Chloe Stevens being taken to a very crude room after her capture. Inside the room, numerous other captives were present. Among them were not only women but also men, adults, and children. In short, it was a diverse group. When Christopher Yard reached the end, the Thumbs-Up System transmitted another message: "Ding! The current address of the villa owner is No. 5, Bamboo Group, Dalong Village, Southwest District, Brentwood City." Christopher Yard glanced at the number of these thugs and discovered that there were more than ten individuals in total, five of whom were armed with the same Type 92 gun that Christopher Yard had seen before. The rest carried knives, and the villagers nearby seemed unfazed by such weapons. They glanced at the captured thugs and then disregarded them. "Bang!" Subsequently, Christopher Yard exited the Recovery Tracking Mirror. In that instant, the mirror, visible only to him, made a loud bang and disintegrated into countless rays of light, dissipating into the air. Now aware of the situation, Christopher Yard's eyes gleamed coldly. Today, he would lead a team to eliminate those criminals. Soon, Serene Hayes led her team out of the villa and reported to Jefferey Reed: "Director, we found nothing inside. The surveillance cameras in the villa have all been destroyed. The bodyguards were killed by gunshot wounds, most likely from a fatal shot. Nearby residents only witnessed a black car and nothing else."After Serene Hayes finished speaking, Jefferey Reed became frustrated. These criminals left no evidence behind. He had thought they had found a lead, but now it seemed to be a dead end. "Director, the northeast direction of the villa has the most convenient traffic. The thugs might have fled in that direction. I suggest we directly track in the northeast and review the surveillance footage. Perhaps we can find some clues," Serene Hayes proposed based on her experience in handling cases. Just as Jefferey Reed was about to agree with Serene Hayes, a faint voice from Christopher Yard suddenly interjected: "No, we should pursue south. The thugs are in Dalong Village, to the south of the Southwest District." Upon hearing Christopher Yard's confident statement, everyone present was stunned. Based solely on the evidence before them, Christopher Yard was able to determine that the thugs had escaped to Dalong Village? Serene Hayes rolled her eyes at Christopher Yard. She had no favorable impression of him and now, seeing him confidently assert that the thugs had fled south, was simply causing trouble. Not only did Serene Hayes doubt him, even Jefferey Reed beside her harbored skepticism. Even if Christopher Yard was a brilliant detective, how could he know that the thugs were in Dalong Village without reviewing the surveillance footage, without knowing the car they used, the type of gun they possessed, or how they committed the crime? Christopher Yard observed the skeptical gazes around him and touched his nose. He was indeed not a renowned detective. He merely relied on the information obtained from the Recovery Tracking Mirror and voiced it out. "Don't worry, the residents may not know the type of car, but I do. It's a Hummer, and Hummers are suitable for off-roading, not for driving on wide roads. The area around Dalong Village is extremely impoverished with many mountain roads, so..." Christopher Yard shrugged and shared everything he could think of. As long as it wasn't incorrect, it was correct. Upon hearing Christopher Yard's words, Serene Hayes promptly dispatched someone to inquire with nearby residents and describe the appearance of the Hummer to them. To their astonishment, the residents nodded in agreement. Upon receiving the report from her subordinates, Serene Hayes and Jefferey Reed became certain that the vehicle in question was indeed a Hummer. However, a new question arose: how did Christopher Yard know it was a Hummer? Could he truly be a detective? Or was he influenced by the previous criminal's Hummer, leading him to guess it was a Hummer? But even if it was a Hummer, why would the criminal necessarily be in Dalong Village? With skeptical eyes, everyone regarded Christopher Yard. Some things couldn't be concluded so easily. The criminal had already taken a hostage, making the situation extremely perilous, and they hadn't been able to figure it out before. If Christopher Yard was mistaken, it would only waste their time on the investigation. Christopher Yard didn't know how to explain, but he was well aware that with each passing moment, Chloe Stevens was in greater danger. So he solemnly stated: "I can guarantee one hundred percent that Chloe Stevens is in Dalong Village. Don't ask about anything else." "Let's go, our target is Bamboo Group 5 in Dalong Village!" Jefferey Reed gritted his teeth and deployed half of the police force to Dalong Village, while the other half searched other villages in the south. It was better to be safe than sorry. Even though Christopher Yard was confident, Jefferey Reed couldn't take the risk.
