Chapter 232 Master-Controlled Copier

Luna’s main intention of seeking Christopher today was to talk about the sales of the Hundred Tonic Nourishing Soup. After all, the soup’s popularity increased day by day and it was not only limited to Brentwood City—there were a lot of other wealthy people from other towns who had come seeking the soup after hearing about it. In fact, there were not that many of the super-wealthy like Andy, and most of them couldn’t afford to pay five million dollars upfront for the Hundred Tonic Nourishing Soup. Each time an auction was held, however, the winning bid for the soup would usually end up at around five hundred thousand dollars and above. There were instances where the auction ran up to three million dollars and this was primarily dependent on the personality of the wealthy people, as well as their wealth. Some would get quite upset if another person placed a bid too and they would then immediately raise the bid by five hundred thousand dollars out of annoyance. The popularity of the Hundred Tonics Nourishing Soup had risen steadily after a lot of the wealthy praised it to the skies after consuming it. Nearly everyone gave a good review and their only complaint was the hefty price that came with it or otherwise the long queue for the cheaper-priced ones. Despite that, the sales of it remain unaffected. On the contrary, the crowd that came to The Serenade increased each day. If it wasn’t for Luna’s efforts at making sure that there was someone there to disperse the public each day, it was quite likely that there would be no standing space left at The Serenade. Initially, because of this, Luna had intended to request for Christopher to prepare more soup each day. The demand for it greatly exceeded the supply. However, after she had heard his words, though she was unsure of what he intended to do, she didn’t pursue it any further out of her trust for him. Just then, Christopher made his way out of Luna’s room and went into the kitchen to let Scarlett know about the discussion he just had with Luna. In response, Scarlett blinked her big eyes a couple of times and immediately after that, she revealed an excited expression. “Sure thing! I’ve always thought that the soup smelled very yummy. Next time, I’ll make sure to give it a try!” Scarlett clapped her delicate hands and leaped up and down excitedly upon hearing his words. Her ponytail bounced along with her movements. At the same time, her chest heaved along with her motion which caused Christopher—standing by the side—to cough quite awkwardly.“I’ve mentioned it before, haven’t I? Girls who drink it will generally experience acne, weight gain, reduction in breast size, a thicker-sized waist, darkened skin tone, and perhaps even the loss of teeth…” Just then, Christopher was utterly dumbfounded and he immediately mentioned every single terrifying situation he could imagine for a girl. There were some examples that he’d mentioned previously plus he added on a few other examples that he hadn’t mentioned before. Regarding that, Scarlett pouted and the expression that flashed across her face was clearly one of displeasure. “It smells so good but I can’t even taste it. If I can’t help myself in the future then I guess you’ll have to bear with my extremely ugly look then.” Christopher rolled his eyes immediately upon hearing her words but he still hadn’t figured her out just yet. Perhaps she’s just a glutton. Then, he taught her how to prepare the Beauty Soup and he also explained its effect to her to prevent her from tasting the soups without a care in the world. The taste and smell of the Beauty Soup were comparable to the Hundred Tonics Nourishing Soup and there was no limit to its consumption. Furthermore, the more a woman drank, the better the effect was on them. As soon as Scarlett heard the effects of the Beauty Soup, her huge, bright eyes sparkled all of a sudden and her head bobbed up and down as she nodded in response. After Christopher had settled things with Scarlett, he left work and headed home. After confirming with Ronald that nothing extraordinary had happened at home today, he finally felt a sense of relief. He reached home and upon seeing Samantha’s attire, his eyes sparkled immediately. He saw that she was dressed in a snow-white tulle dress with her long, slender legs displayed in full view. Even more so, her pair of 36D-sized breasts looked quite large against her chest and the dress she had on was unable to cover her full figure. With each step she took, he felt a jolt to his heart. The sultry expression on her face seemed to deepen lately. In actual fact, Christopher had deep feelings for Samantha. To him, she was a priority and he refused to allow anything bad to happen to her. If anything bad happened, he couldn’t even tell what he would resort to. As soon as Christopher realized that, he leaped toward her and had a passionate moment with her. After their tumble in bed, she dozed off while he took the chance to tweak the Thumbs-Up System. He checked on the system and noticed that the Thumbs-Up Points had increased from one hundred and twenty thousand points to about one hundred and fifty thousand points just then. It must be because of the increase of customers at The Serenade and so I get to accumulate points much quicker than before. The items available on the Thumbs-Up Online Store were endless and Christopher realized that he couldn’t manage to browse through everything but he tended to browse through it on and off; sometimes, he started from the first page and sometimes, he started from the last page. As he browsed, he would normally note down the items he saw. After drinking the Bone Broth Detox Soup, he improved greatly in every single aspect. Besides his strength, his memory also improved at an alarming level. Naturally, he developed a photographic memory and after seeing an item from the Thumbs-Up Online Store, it became etched in his memory. Christopher hastily clicked on the online store deftly with his fingers. Soon, he stopped clicking after he came to the page he was after and he stared intently at one part of the screen, his eyes remained glued to the screen. “Master-controlled Copier—make copies of non-living objects. The item of interest is the master while the copied object serves as the duplicate. There will only be one master and the handler can control all of the duplicates through the master. The duplicates will have the exact same properties as the master but the handler can control them via Mind Control and vanquish the properties completely at any time. To control the duplicates, the handler has to place a drop of blood on the master. There can be a maximum of ten copies made each time but it can only be run once per day. The handler can keep track of the location of the duplicates any time when required.” “This is great!” Christopher muttered the last two sentences himself in his heart and gave out a loud exclaim of surprise after reading the description of the Master-controlled Copier. He had understood the gist of things and the truth was, he was actually quite keen to try it out. If the description actually matches up with the actual product then I can make a copy of the 10-second Instant Pot any time. With the master in my hands, every copy made would be just the duplicate and I can even destroy the duplicate via the master at any instance. At that moment, he got out of bed slowly and tiptoed into the kitchen. He saw that the Master-controlled Copier would require one hundred and fifty thousand Thumbs-Up Points and with a clench of his teeth, he took a deep breath before clicking the purchase button. “Ding! Congratulations, host. Your spending of one hundred and fifty thousand Thumbs-Up Points has gained you a Master-controlled Copier!” As soon as the voice of the machine in his mind rang out, a golden flash landed on his right hand too. He couldn’t help but shut both of his eyes. Soon after that, he opened his eyes and was taken aback by the item in his hand. In front of him was a jet-black item that resembled a cell phone—it was about four inches long, without any buttons and it currently levitated about four centimeters above his palm. “Dear host, what would you like to copy?” Just as Christopher hesitated slightly, the mechanical voice rang out in his mind once again. The mechanical voice caught him by surprise and he immediately nodded his head and responded in his mind, “The knife by the side.” After Christopher had ended his sentence, there was a sudden flash of golden light that originated from the top of the Master-controlled Copier and the light surrounded the knife in the kitchen. Soon, there was a jaw-dropping scene in front of him.
