Chapter 202 The Private Room Is Occupied

Once Christopher and Harold arrived at the five-star hotel, Harold parked his Aston Martin in a nearby parking lot, and the two walked toward that five-star hotel called Sheraton Hotel. “Divine Doctor Yard, I’ll make arrangements for the place we’re going to eat at later. This five-star hotel also belongs to me. Usually, a reservation is needed for a good private room, but that doesn’t apply to me.” After that, the two made their way to the front desk. Harold knew the best private room here because he would come here to dine from time to time. He had asked the general manager of the hotel to specially leave one of the private rooms empty. In other words, that private room was not normally open to customers. They only let customers in if the restaurant was overcrowded. Otherwise, the room usually stayed shut. Christopher waited at the side. Since Harold was the owner of this hotel, he assumed that there wasn’t going to be a problem, but a moment later, he heard Harold’s furious voice. “What did you say? Someone already booked Senna, the private room?” Slamming against the counter, Harold widened his eyes, which were filled with disbelief. Senna was his exclusive private room. This general manager was being too audacious. Suddenly, Christopher walked over with a frown on his face, but he didn’t say a word. At the moment, Harold was enraged. Even if someone had dared to do this on a regular day, it would have been extremely disrespectful to him. Since he brought Christopher along today, it completely crushed his dignity. Being confronted with this issue in a hotel that he owned was the biggest insult to Harold. He couldn’t just let this go. The receptionist also looked at Harold in a disconcerted manner. “Sorry, sir. There’s still a lot of places left on this side. If you don’t mind, we can—” Before she could finish speaking, he interrupted in a cold voice, “Bring the hotel’s general manager out now. This is a serious issue. Go now, or you’ll be in trouble.” The receptionist was frightened by his words. She had a faint feeling that something was off. Afraid of delaying any longer, she called the hotel’s general manager and explained the situation. While she was on the phone, Harold also told Christopher about what was happening. Christopher was not interested in his hotel issues, but since he needed Harold’s help, he nodded to agree to let Harold deal with this matter. This issue involved the hotel owner’s dignity. It was possible that other vermin were in the hotel. Speaking from a different perspective, Christopher wouldn’t tolerate those people either if he were Harold. As Harold waited for the manager’s reply, Christopher was also going to continue waiting at the side when suddenly, a blonde-haired young person who was carrying a phone in both hands flung the phone at Christopher. A dark shadow brushed past him at a high speed, with traces of an afterimage appearing on top of the phone as it flew toward him. At first, Christopher didn’t notice the young person either, but his body was highly sensitive to the perception of danger. Just when the phone was about to hit him, he quickly swerved his body to the side. Thud! That phone landed against the glass at the front desk, whereupon a cob-web-like crack formed at the top. Following a clear sound, the screen of the phone also shattered. The receptionist looked concerned when she saw the blondie. In an instant, she cowered over and lowered her eyes, afraid of looking at that blondie. On the other hand, Christopher’s complexion quickly grew dark. He never would’ve thought that he would be confronted with this situation at a five-star hotel. He had just been standing here for a few minutes when someone flung a phone at him. Even if he didn’t bleed, he would’ve gotten hurt if it weren’t for his quick reflexes earlier. Standing next to him, Harold was also rather dumbfounded. Shortly after, his complexion also grew dark like Christopher’s. He couldn’t accept that a person like this was in his hotel. He just couldn’t! That blondie brought along three other people with odd hairstyles behind him. They even had cigarettes in their mouths. The jeans they wore were all in-trend ripped jeans. With arrogant gazes, they laughed as they looked at Christopher and Harold. “Tsk, tsk. Hey, fellow. How dare you try to book Senna! Don’t you know that it’s Miles’ go-to place?” “Miles is in a good mood today. He even brought a few girls with him and is getting ready to have some fun with them. Yet, you dared to call the general manager.” “You look quite shabby. Get on your knees and beg me. Bow your head ninety-nine times, and I might consider forgiving you.” The sidekicks behind Miles suddenly had a smirk on their faces as they spun their phones in their hands. Then, they looked at Christopher and Harold with mockery in their eyes before breaking into ruthless laughter. Miles also looked intrigued by Christopher. “You—pick up my phone, and I will let you off. Otherwise, I’m going to have to break your legs today.” He whistled and began shifting around as he spoke. Hearing his words, Christopher clenched his hands into fists. The dark look on his face didn’t lessen but only got more apparent. In contrast, however, he had a smile on his lips. He went to pick up that phone off the ground, but a moment later, he flung it at Miles without the slightest hesitation. Whizz, whizz, whizz. After the phone was flung, it spun through the air and produced a series of whizzing sounds. It was clearly moving faster than the speed at which Miles flung the phone at Christopher earlier. Thump! The moment the phone hit Miles, the ridge of his nose was crushed, and a trickle of fresh blood flowed out. At the same time, Miles collapsed on the ground. His body started twitching, and the sound of a dying animal came out of his mouth. He cried out unendingly as he cradled his nose. It didn’t look like Christopher had a hint of empathy on his face. After he dealt with Miles, he looked coldly at the three sidekicks beside Miles and slowly walked toward them.
