Christopher was momentarily shocked upon hearing the mechanical voice in his mind. Immediately after that though, he revealed a beaming smile. This system reward is awesome! Right now, Christopher had 30,000 Thumbs-Up points which he had no intention to use at the moment. He reckoned it was better to exchange it for some more recipes. The more the recipes he possessed, his Thumbs-Up points would surely increase too. This was quite evident. As soon as he realized this, he went to bed and had a restful sleep. The following morning, Christopher drove his Ferrari and made his way to The Serenade. He didn’t mean to flaunt it but since he was in possession of his exclusive ride, then surely it didn’t make any sense to catch the bus or take a cab. That would seem quite silly. As soon as Christopher arrived at The Serenade, he suddenly realized that there were no empty parking lots by the entrance. He saw in front of his eyes a huge crowd that milled around. Stunned, he blinked a few times. He thought that this was all in his imagination so he shook his head all of sudden. However, the crowd in front of him didn’t disperse and right in front of his very eyes, he saw that the crowd remained milling around in their positions. “What the heck is going on here?” Christopher was stunned into oblivion. How did The Serenade increase in popularity to this extent in just one day’s time? He exaggeratedly thought, If I don’t accelerate and take down the crowd, I probably won’t be able to make my way inside! Luckily, he knew that there was a back door to enter The Serenade so he muttered angrily under his breath then he drove toward the back door and entered the place from there. “I can’t believe that I’m actually entering from the back door despite being a well-reputed chef driving a Ferrari!” Christopher was quite conceited and he said this with a pompous look on his face. Furthermore, he had a regretful expression on his face. He sighed and then attempted to make his way into Luna’s office. However, just as he was about to leave, he suddenly noticed that the two dogs from yesterday were quite busy once again. Stunned, he paused in his tracks and soon after that, he broke out into a sinister smile. Ha! Looks like the Hundred Tonics Nourishing Soup lives up to its reputation after all. Even this male dog is so virile from it. He reached the door to Luna’s room and saw Scarlett standing by the side. Right as he walked into Luna’s office, the latter raised her feet and directed a flying kick at him. The whooshing sound of her gesture headed right toward him. “What the heck? This missy has changed her attack to a flying kick!” He got a fright immediately but he currently had exceptionally quick reflexes so he naturally dodged her kick and fled the scene before it could land on him. “Bam!”Unfortunately, Scarlett’s flying kick landed on the door as soon as Christopher left the scene. She yelled out in pain from that and hastily withdrew her leg and bent down to rub it. Meanwhile, Christopher was so tempted to laugh out loud. As soon as he steadied himself, he stared intently at Scarlett’s outfit today. She had on a similar hipster T-shirt paired with a pair of shorts and her hair—usually pulled into a pigtail—was in a ponytail today. She has a perfect hourglass figure with perky breasts and bum, plus a slender waist with long legs. Unfortunately, her brain’s not that good, Christopher lamented deep down. “Spill it, Christopher! What were you up to yesterday? If Luna didn’t tell me you took the day off, then you would have been dead meat today!” Scarlett rubbed her sore feet and exclaimed with a pout. He was at a loss for what to do at the moment because obviously, he wouldn’t want to mention Samantha. Sighing, he said, “Of course it’s something important. Ms. Sears, what’s up with the crowd outside?”Luna placed down the document she held in her hands and glanced at him casually. “I think you must have guessed it. Meanwhile, for the lower end market, the soup will be sold packaged as a spoonful, a tiny bowl, or a big bowl. One spoonful will cost 100 and the price will increase exponentially in multiples of tens.” Christopher revealed a cunning smile upon finishing his words. “You’re a way more cunning businessperson than Luna!” Scarlett couldn’t help but comment. However, she paused for a moment upon finishing her words. It was as if she had caught herself saying something by mistake and thus she hurriedly waved her hands. “Luna, I didn’t mean to say that you were cunning. I was talking about Christopher! He’s too cunning!” Christopher brushed his nose sheepishly as soon as he heard that before glancing at Scarlett’s tiny face. At the moment, her face was tinged slightly pink and her chubby little face looked exceptionally cute. Meanwhile, Luna merely smiled at her words and didn’t seem offended. Well, it’s quite true that a successful businessperson has a cunning personality. Christopher’s suggestion could bring in a huge profit for The Serenade in a short time. The profit would definitely be in the range of 100,000 and it could even go up to millions! “Your words make a lot of sense, Christopher. I can tell that you have a talent for business. I reckon being a sous-chef is a waste of your talents!” Luna stared at Christopher in the eyes and expressed an approving look. He merely smiled resignedly. This was just something he had come up with on a whim and he didn’t regard it as a talent. I prefer my current job of cooking up a storm, going after the ladies, and occasionally splurging on luxury cars and watches. It’s quite enjoyable! Christopher confirmed the plan with Luna then he dragged Scarlett back to the entrance of the kitchen. Suddenly, he realized something and asked, “Scarlett, how much did the Hundred Tonics Nourishing Soup end up selling for?” She scratched her head upon hearing that. Then, she blinked her pair of charming eyes and she paused for a while, as if in deep consideration. Suddenly, she clapped her hands and her eyes sparkled. “I remember it now—it sold for a million!” Wow! In just one day, the soup increased in price from 600,000 to 1,000,000! Looks like there are more and more people who are after it. Looking at how things are, setting that ceiling price of 5,000,000 is definitely a good move. As soon as Christopher realized this, he couldn’t control the gleeful expression on his face. Ha! It’s time to hurry up and produce another lot of Hundred Tonics Nourishing Soup to get all the money and Thumbs-Up points!
