Interstellar Businesswoman Tycoon

Chapter 191 Fall Out

In a private hospital ward room, a woman lay on the bed, busy scrolling on her communication device. From time to time, she would let out a small giggle, seeming to find the video she was watching amusing. The door of the room was suddenly pushed open, and a man, dressed in a work suit, stepped into the room. The woman on the bed appeared nonchalant upon the visitor's arrival and continued to keep her gaze fixed on the device in her hand. Mike wasn't angry at Allegra's behavior and walked over, placing the box package in his hand onto the bedside table. “I bought you some pastries.” He announced. “Really?” Allegra immediately put away her light brain and turned her head to the box on the table. Smelling the aroma emanating from it, she quickly took the package and opened the cover. “Thank you so much.” A smile spread across her lips as she reached in for a pastry and began to eat. “How is your hand?” Mike cast a glance at Allegra's bandaged hand as he asked. “What did the doctor say?” “They said it will heal within two days, and then I will be discharged from the hospital.” She answered. “That's great.” Mike nodded his head and then said, “I've gotten your airship ticket to Vedra Planet. Once you've been discharged from the hospital, you will start packing up for your journey.” The moment Mike's sentence landed, Allegra's expression turned sour. “Why does this cookie taste so bad? Did you get me a spoiled one? Take it, I'm not eating anymore.” She put the half-eaten cookie back into the box and pushed it aside. “Spoiled?” Mike was surprised to hear that. “But I got it from your favorite snack spot.” He opened the box and picked up a cookie, wanting to confirm if it was indeed spoiled. The moment he bit into it, a dense taste of sweetness overcame his buds, causing him to grimace from how sweet it was. He wasn't a fan of sweet things. However, the cookie didn't taste spoiled as Allegra had claimed. He felt that the other party was just making a scene because of the earlier statement he had made. He closed the box and then turned to look at the frowning woman on the bed. “Are you dissatisfied with my decision? But we've already agreed upon this. There's no turning back.” “Agreed? Oh, since we are now talking about agreement, have you also done what I asked of you?” Allegra gave Mike a condescending look before chuckling. “Don't tell me that you are afraid? Cheh.” She snorted. “Of course, you need to be. That devil doesn't seem to be someone who can be easily taken down. It's my arm this time; who knows if it might be your head the next? Ha-ha-ha.” She burst into laughter. “Someone as cunning as you is truly worthy of raising such a child.” “You must be tired. Take a rest.” Mike didn't want to linger here anymore and then turned around to leave. “I'm not tired!” Allegra yelled. “Don't think I don't know what you are planning, Mike? I'm not foolish enough to see miss your evil thoughts. You call it a vacation? Isn't it just throwing the knife away after using it? We have been together for so long; how could I not know how cunning you are?” Her beautiful face distorted in anger. Mike paused his movement and looked back at the angry Allegra. He didn't expect her to have such an outburst. “Is this how you've been seeing me so far?” “Tch, don't try to play the innocent card here.” Allegra snorted when she saw his stunned expression. “If you weren't so ruthless, would you have gotten to such a position today? I might have lured you a bit, but weren't all actions done by you? You're so evil, Mike. Those caring couple took you out of your worst, yet look at how you repaid them. You are the true devil.” “Shut up!” Mike's hands move in a flash, grabbing tightly around Allegra's neck. “Shut up or I am going to kill you!” “Ha-ha-ha.” Allegra didn't show a hint of panic on her face. Instead, she let out a laugh, infuriating the other party further. She looked coldly into Mike's eyes. “You are finally not hiding your evil nature anymore. Come on, kill me. Let's see whose deed will be exposed to the whole world once I'm dead.” “What did you do?” Mike's brow rose with suspicion when he saw the smile on her lips. An alarm bell suddenly rang inside his mind. Could it be that she had kept evidence of what he had done in the past? “I just did what a scheming person like you would have done.” Hearing her response, Mike's brain snapped. “I'm going to kill you!” The veins on his palm protruded as he tightened his grip around Allegra's neck. This time, Allegra's expression showed a trace of panic as she was finding it difficult to breathe. She had thought that her threat against Mike would cause him to be more suspicious and not act rashly. But who would have thought that the other party would turn mad after being threatened? “Ah- ack.” Her mouth opened wide, wanting to call out for help, but not a single word could come out. Mike's eyes were bloodshot red as his palm tightened around her neck. The latter's eyes began to roll backward, seeming she was about to pass out.At that moment, Mike's eyes suddenly flashed with a hint of clarity, and he immediately let go of his grip. “Cough, cough.” Allegra, who had just escaped from the hands of the grim reaper, began to take in deep breaths of air. Damn! Her throat hurts so much that tears filled her eyes. She felt that if Mike had let go a second late, she would have really died. Mike stared at the horrified red mark around Allegra's neck and asked worriedly. “Are you alright?” Allegra ignored his question and continued to breathe in for air, but every breath she took caused her eyes to leak with tears. Seeing her crying, Mike wanted to explain himself. “I'm sorry, I didn't—” In the end, he couldn't find a sentence to validate his actions. He knew that with what had happened, she would surely bear a grudge against him. Not knowing what evidence Allegra had kept in her hand, he could only try to play it safe and apologize to her. “I'm sorry. I'm truly sorry. I didn't know what came over me. You want me to kill Sylvia, right? Sure, I will do that right now. Just don't be mad at me.” He stretched his hand forward and caressed her gently on the head. Allegra shivered when she felt his touch, thinking that she was about to be choked again. “I'm fine.” She hurriedly pushed his hand away. “Just leave.” “Are you mad at me? Fine, you don't need to go to Vedra Planet anymore. You can just stay here. As for the other situation, I will take care of it.” “I said leave!” Allegra's throat burned as she shouted. She really wished she could slap him to death. “Just leave, or I'm going to call the cops. You don't want to be charged to jail for violence, do you?” She looked at Mike with a cold gaze. “I…” Mike paused and then put his hand down. “I will come and visit you when you are calm.” He turned around and left the room. Watching the door close, Allegra felt as if she had escaped from a disaster. She hurriedly stretched her hand towards the emergency alarm and pressed it. Her throat burned so much. Even swallowing was so difficult for her. And besides that, she must find a way to escape from that devil.
