Interstellar Businesswoman Tycoon
Atlas, who was the most susceptible to blood smell, soon noticed the hidden injury on Sylvia's chest. He immediately cast his light healing ability on her. “Thank you.” Sylvia looked at him with gratitude. “It's alright.” He waved his hand, showing that it was nothing. “Have you discovered anything?” Walker's gaze turned towards Tyron as he asked. The latter was holding an animal skin map in his hand, looking at it with a troubled expression. “I'm not quite sure.” Tyron shook his head, revealing his dilemma. “The path drawn on the map is based on a land route, and with the smoke covering the sky, it would be difficult for me to see the direction we are heading.” “Oh.” Walker had a look of disappointment on his face. Sylvia was curious when she heard their discussion and pointed to the map in Tyron's hands, “What is that?” “It's an animal skin map,” Walker answered and began to explain. “We found it on the body of one of the men. Tyron said it might contain the route for us to get out of here.” “Oh.” Sylvia nodded in understanding. But then, her curiosity was piqued when she heard Walker make mention of the burly men. So, she immediately asked, “Those men, how did you escape from them?” “Should I say that we were fortunate enough to be blessed by luck at that moment?” Walker began to recount what happened in the battle to Sylvia. Who would have thought that there was a colony of corpse-eating ants living under the ground of the buildings? Hence, the moment a fracture appeared on the ground, these millions of corpse-eating ants were released to the surface.Luckily, Ian noticed their appearance and hurriedly summoned Huji. That was how they were able to escape to the sky. Unfortunately, the burly men were not as lucky as they were. None of the men seems to have a contractual beast of their own and could only rely on their physical strength to fight off these man-eating ants. But how could a few of them contend against the attack of millions of ants? Hence, within seconds, they were instantly submerged by this wave of ants. “It's quite strange, don't you think?” Jose spoke about his interest. “None of the men appears to be leveling up in the way we do. Yet their physical strength is almost up to par with an SS-rank powerhouse.” “Could they be using some ancient found knowledge to strengthen their body?” Jose's eyes brightened when he thought that he had touched upon an unimaginable secret. “Who knows.” Ryker shrugged his shoulders and continued. “Perhaps the higher-ups might know something once we report this discovery to them.” “Hmm.” Kai agreed with Ryker's words. But just when he turned his head around, he was met with a massive amount of dense shadow heading their way. “What is that? Is that a cloud?” Kai's words caught everyone's attention, and they all looked towards the distance. At the front was a dense amount of darkness, which seemed to be moving forward at a faster rate. “Is that a storm cloud?” The dense shadow does indeed look like a storm cloud. Thinking it might be the case, Gael hurriedly turned to Tyron. “Boss, should we make a detour and avoid the incoming storm?” “Hmm. Let's land on the ground first.” Tyron nodded. Since they were already out of the smoke range, he might as well use that opportunity to inspect the map in his hand further. “Okay.” Ian ordered Huji to fly lower. The young dragon flapped his wings, searching for a clear place to land. But just as it found the perfect spot to land on, a loud buzzing sound came to everyone's ears. It was as if there were thousands of flies buzzing continuously in their ears. “Where did that sound come from?” Kai looked around, trying to catch where the buzzing sound was coming from. Sylvia, who had been trying to contact Susu for a while now, heard the loud buzzing sound and lifted her head towards the massive amount of clouds in the distance. The closer the cloud gets, the louder the buzzing sound becomes. Tyron was the second to notice the strangeness of the cloud and immediately took out a pair of binoculars. The moment he saw what the dark cloud was, his whole body shook in fear. “F*ck. Turn around now!” He roared at the top of his voice. Everyone else soon realized that there was something wrong with the massive clouds heading their way. Ian hurriedly gave an order for Huji to turn around. The young dragon immediately flapped his wings, flying at his highest speed. But despite his efforts, the dense shadow seems to be coming even closer than before. As the 'cloud' became nearer, Sylvia and the rest finally saw the scene that caused the panic in Tyron's voice. Insect. Dense of flying insects. Sylvia, who had witnessed some of the most disgusting scenes in the apocalypse, suddenly felt her skin crawl when she saw the wave of bugs covering the entire sky. Where the hell did they come from? As she looked further, she noticed that wherever the bugs pass through, the area seems to turn desolate almost in a minute. All the greenery and trees seem to lose their vitality in seconds. “Oh no!” Walker cried out as he witnessed this scene. “Why did these destructive bugs have to appear?” His expression was marked with dread and horror of the disaster that was about to come. The others’ expressions weren't good either. 'The Tides Bugs'. This is a sentence that is familiar to almost everyone across the entire universe. These species of bugs are called the doomsday arrival, known to leave disaster in their wake. What made people fear this bug most is their attractive ability to cause a beast tide. Due to fear of being eaten by these bugs, most beasts would flee away from their homes, trying to find a haven to hide in. But since most of the safe places have already been taken away by the powerful beasts, the weaker beasts would need to find another place to hide. Hence, this only leaves them one option. The human base. Even though these kinds of beast tides are rather on the lower level, the destruction they bring along is enough to cause damage on a weak planet like Starry Sky Empire. The loss of the Austen couple is an example of such damage that can never be recovered. Huji flew forward with all his might. Despite releasing his dragon breath, these bugs seem to ignore his aura and continue to flap their wings loudly. On the way, several flying beasts appeared in the sky, with some carrying their chicks on their backs as they fled away from their homes. Some malicious beasts try to launch an attack on Sylvia and others. However, they were soon scared away by Huji's aura. Below the ground, Sylvia suddenly noticed four beasts running away from the stampede of beasts around them. What caught Sylvia's attention weren't the beasts but the four humans they carried on their backs. “Look over there.” She immediately called the rest's attention and pointed downward. “Those are mercenaries.” Tyron turned his head and indeed saw the four people on the back of the beasts. A sense of relief then washed over him. With the appearance of humans here, it means that they were heading the right way. Perhaps noticing Tyron's gaze, one of the figures lifted his head and then saw the huge dragon beast flying above the sky. Noticing the people on the back of the dragon beast, he hurriedly waved his hand into the air and called out for help. “Help. Over here. Please save us.” The man's team saw his actions and also looked upward. When they saw Sylvia and the others on the back of Huji, they began to shout for help. One should know that having a flying mount is more advantageous than having a land mount in this situation. On the ground, they need to watch out for the stampede going on and also the attacks of some malicious beasts. Although it wasn't much safer in the sky, it is still better. When Tyron heard their call, he asked Ian to lead Huji over. The dragon aura scared away the malicious beasts lying in ambush, and the four men finally had a time of peace. “Hop on.” Ian was already wearing a black mask on his face to prevent his identity from being discovered. “Yes.” The men hurriedly put back their contractual beasts and jumped onto Huji's back. Not wasting any moment, Huji immediately took off into the sky.
