Interstellar Businesswoman Tycoon

Chapter 171 Flesh-eater

The moment the woman named Letitia finished introducing herself, several rustling sounds came from behind the bush. Soon, fifteen men, with a cloth hide wrapped around their waists, stepped out from the dense leaves. Each of them held a dagger in their hands, which seemed to be crafted from the bones of an unknown beast. While giving Sylvia and her group a menacing stare, they approached Letitia, who stood before the group. “So, aren't you going to thank your savior?” Letitia continued, looking at Tyron with an amusing expression. Her eyes wandered around Tyron's body without any intent of concealing her actions. “Why don't you repay me with your body instead?” “You--” Miley was about to teach this crazy woman who doesn't know her place a lesson. But before she could do so, Tyron stopped her from rushing forward. “Wait. We don't know their strength yet. So, we shouldn't act rashly.” Tyron said, trying to calm her down. “Why don't I test the water first?” Miley was so angry that she wished she could tear Letitia's face to pieces. But when she reasoned about Tyron's words, she felt that he was right and let go. Though not happy that she wasn't able to teach that vile woman a lesson, Miley still nodded to Tyron's words. “Okay.” Letitia, who was watching the scene between the two couples, had a meaningful smile on her lips. 'This is so interesting.' “Miss.” Tyron turned to the woman in front of him. “I apologize for my previous rudeness. Me and my team members are deeply grateful for your help. If you need any reward from us, as long as it is within our ability, we will be sure to help you.” “Really?” Letitia's brow rose, and she said teasingly, “What if what I want is your body? Will you give it to me?” While asking this, her eyes knowingly shifted to Miley's direction, wanting to see how she would react.Miley knew what the evil woman was planning. Unfortunately for her, she was doomed not to get what she wanted. Seeing that Miley had no reaction on her face, Letitia's lips curled up in dissatisfaction. “Ha-ha. You must be joking, Ms. Letitia.” Tyron chuckled. “I already have a fiancé. I'm afraid if I dare agree to your request, I might not find myself alive the next day.” “Who are you to refuse our leader's offer?” One of the men standing behind Letitia spoke out. “You people can't even fight against a tiny red crab, yet you think you are worthy of being our leader's man. Dream-” “Juan!” Letitia shouted, shutting up the man who was speaking. Realizing his mistake, Juan immediately bowed his head and apologized. “I apologize for talking out of turn, leader.” Letitia ignored his apology and turned to look at Tyron. “I'm so sorry for my subordinate's rudeness.” “I don't mind.” Tyron shook his head, showing that he wasn't offended. “Well, since that's the case. Why don't you people join us for dinner? It's been a very long time since we encountered people from the outside world. I wonder how much of it the outside world has changed.” Sylvia and the others detected some hidden information from Letitia's words. First, this place has already been discovered by people from the outside world, and second, Letitia and her group had come across these people. However, it was strange that information about this place hadn't been spread to the mercenary hall. Perhaps the authorities were the ones who concealed this matter from them. Facing Letitia's offer, Tyron couldn't reject it this time. So, he nodded. “Okay.” “Hmm.” The smile on Letitia's lips became brighter when she heard Tyron's answer. Her eyes then made a sweeping glance at the group before finally settling on Ian. But her gaze on Ian didn't linger for long before she shifted her attention back to Tyron. “Follow us then.” Letitia saw that Tyron was about to say something and immediately added, “Don't be fooled by how peaceful this place looks right now. It's definitely more dangerous than you can imagine. Without me leading the way for you, you and your team members would surely face a lot of danger on the road.” “Oh. Then I will have to trouble you to lead the way, please, Miss. Letitia.” Tyron gestured forward with his hands. “Hmm.” Letitia turned around and said to the men beside her. “Lead the way.” As they walked forward, the man whom Letitia had shouted at turned his head backward and gave Tyron and the men in the team a fierce stare. “What's up with him?” Atlas, who saw the man's gaze, raised this question. “Just ignore him. Let's keep up with the group.” Tyron responded. “Are we just going to blatantly follow them, boss? We don't even know if there's any ambush waiting for us up there. As for that woman named Letitia or whatever, I don't have a good feeling about her.” Jose spoke out about his worries. “Yeah, me too. The way she was looking at the boss earlier, it seemed as if she was assessing some sort of goods.” Walker added in. “During the conversation, I also noticed that the men were staring at Sylvia and the vice president with a look of desire in their eyes,” Kai told his discovery. “I'm afraid these people are up to something that we are unaware of, President.” Sylvia had also sensed the gaze of the men on her, but because she didn't know the other party's strength, she didn't dare act rashly. So when the others heard Kai's words, their gaze turned unpleasant, most especially Ian's. “Let's see what's going on first. These people appear to be more familiar with this place. If we can get the info on how to get out of here from them, we will leave right away.” When Tyron said this, no one raised any words of refusal. Letitia, who was at the front, heard the subtle conversation of the group. A sly smile emerged on her lips, but she didn't say anything about the team's suspicion towards her. As they moved forward, the road ahead became tricky. They keep crossing into different corners, such that Tyron and the rest could barely keep up with memorizing the paths they just took. Luckily, Sylvia had a cheat system named Susu who could recall wherever path they had walked through. So, she wasn't afraid of the team losing their way back. The whole journey took two hours to arrive. Although Letitia and her group were walking using their feet, they were just as fast as those using a mount to continue their journey. Not long after, everyone discovered a smoke rising in the air from a distance. “We are almost home.” Minutes later, the group arrived in front of a wide grassland. In the middle were several neat houses that were built next to each other. They were all made from trees and grasses. The road leading to the houses was properly laid with smooth, polished stones, showing how careful attention was paid to them. Although there were not many houses, it was somewhat astounding to see such a community living in the wild peacefully without any fear. At the square center was a huge bonfire. Several men sat across it, busy dismembering the body of a huge fish that had just been caught. As Sylvia scanned her gaze around this bustling community, she soon noticed that there was something off about it.Why are all the people around men? There was no sign of women at all. Nor the sight of children. All of the people around were strong men who had a beast's hide wrapped around their waist, with their chests bare. Sylvia wasn't the only one who discovered this abnormality. Tyron and the rest did. Noticing the arrival of the group, the men dropped whatever they were doing and walked over to them. “Leader.” They bowed towards Letitia in an organized manner. “Get up, everyone. We have visitors from the outside. Let's prepare a feast to welcome them.” Hearing the word visitors, the men lifted their heads and glanced at the new visitors. Instantly, their eyes were filled with hatred when they saw Tyron and the other men. Although they tried to conceal the hatred in their eyes, this didn't go unnoticed by Tyron and the rest. Soon, they shifted their gaze towards Sylvia and Miley. Sylvia felt her breath stuck up in her throat when she saw the desire in the men’s eyes. Her body jerked backward in fright. Fortunately, Ian, who was next to her, held her on the back. “Are you okay?” He looked at Sylvia worriedly. “I…” Sylvia didn't know what to say at this moment. No wonder she felt the gaze that the men gave her was quite familiar. She thought they were just lustful gazes and didn't pay much attention to them. However, when she saw hundreds of eyes looking at her and Miley with the same gaze, she instantly recalled the gaze of the people from the apocalyptic world. These were the gazes of cannibals. Sylvia felt her heart shake even more. Tyron and the rest might not realize it since they hadn't encountered a flesh-eater before. However, she had. How… Just what the hell is this place? Sylvia shifted her gaze towards Letitia, who was now looking at them with a playful smile on her face.
