Chapter 169 An Ocean In The Wilds!

Sylvia's group hadn't walked far when they heard Walker's excited voice. “Let's go see what is happening.” Miley made a gesture with her hand, and the three turned backward. When they got out of the passage, they saw Tyron and the rest also getting out from their respective paths. “Where's Walker?” Kai asked. “He should still be inside the pa-” Before Jose could finish his sentence, Walker's excited figure appeared in everyone’s view. “Boss, you won't believe what we found inside the passage. Come on, follow me. Let me show you what it is.” Tyron couldn't guess what Walker had found, but seeing from his expression, he knew that it must be something astonishing. “Okay, lead the way.” Everyone followed behind Walker, who was continuously yapping about the astonishing scene that was at the front. On the way, they met Milo and Gael, who were waiting for Walker to return. “Come on, let's show the boss what we found.” When Walker said this, Milo moved towards the end of the passage, where a small hole was emitting a faint light. Lifting his fist, he punched hard at the soil surface until a big hole that two people could pass through was formed. Fresh air instantly flowed into the passage, and soon, the sounds of roaring waves filled everyone's ears. “Look.” Walker jumped through the passage, gazing at the beautiful scenery in front of him. “It's an ocean!”An ocean in the wilds! Sylvia took a step outside and saw the wide view in front of her. It looks like where they were standing appeared to be on the top of a cliff. Below the cliff was a wide blue ocean, of which the end couldn't be seen. Sylvia lifted her head to the blue sky, which was contradictory to the gloomy sky everyone was familiar with. Where is this place? Could it be that they've come across a place that hasn't been discovered by human existence? However, thinking of the passage that seemed to have been made by either human or beast, she dropped this option. “Wow, it's so beautiful.” Miley stretched out her arms, enjoying the cool breeze that rushed upon her. “Boss, how about we have a picnic here before we go back. We can't just leave this beautiful place without having any fun, right?” Walker said. “Okay.” Tyron surprisingly agreed to Walker's request. “We will rest here for a few days once we are done digging out the crystals in the cave.” “Yes!” Walker jumped in excitement. “You're the best, boss. Let me see if I have some beachwear in my wardrobe.” He began to look through his ring for the perfect beachwear outfit. The others smiled, seeing this. They couldn't help looking forward to the upcoming vacation. --- Several days later, Sylvia took a step out of the passage, inhaling the fresh air that came over her nostrils. Her body was covered in dirt, with no clean spot on her skin. She wasn't the only one looking like that. The ten figures beside her also bore the same situation as hers.“Aww, my back.” Milo groaned as he stretched his body. “I feel as if I've been stuffed into an old man's body.” Atlas, who was also rubbing his aching arms, spoke out. “While digging, I kept telling myself that this was money. Or else, I would have died of depression inside the cave.” He felt that he was the most pitiful one among the group. While digging out fire crystals, he also had to use his healing ability on the others to prevent them from getting tired. He was just too pitiful. “Now, you don't have to stress yourself anymore, brothers. Take a look at the view in front of you. There's a whole fun awaiting us.” Jose sprinted forward, jumping down off the cliff. “Wait for me, brother.” Gael also sprinted along. “The first to reach the beach is a cow!” Walker shouted out. “To hell with you, Walker.” Jose's howling voice sounded from below. “He-he-he.” Walker laughed sinisterly before also jumping down. “Let's join them, Sylvia,” Miley said. “Okay.” Sylvia followed Miley and jumped down the cliff with her. Soon, only Tyron and Ian were still standing in the same spot. “That…” Tyron rubbed his nose, not knowing where to begin. “I want to say that I'm sorry.” “What?” Ian thought he was hearing wrong and raised his head to look at Tyron. During the period inside the cave, Tyron's anger at Ian had waned a lot. Now that he thought about it, he felt that if Ian hadn't been by their side, perhaps a few of them might have lost their lives in the wilds. The mysterious sword, the S-rank dragon beast, which of the two wasn't a golden ace? Although he was mad that Ian had lied to him, he still felt that he had gone overboard with his reaction. “Though I might not let you participate in our guild’s expedition in the future, you are still welcome to be friends with us.” “Are you… You aren't angry at me anymore?” Ian's eyes lit up in surprise. “Rebellious phase. Every teenager goes through this phase. So, I will forgive you this time.” Tyron replied. “Tyron, what are you still doing up there? Get down now!” Miley's voice roared from below. “Coming.” Tyron quickly held Ian's hand and jumped down the cliff with him. When Miley saw the two people coming forward, she began to nag, “What were you two doing up there? We need to snatch up the best spot before those stinky guys get it.” “Sorry. Ian and I were just discussing some things.” When Tyron said this, Ian gave Miley a look of apology. “Okay, let's hurry them,” Miley said. The four head forward. On the beach sand, Walker and Milo were busy chasing themselves with a smile. At the side, Kai, who knows where he got the beach mat and umbrella from, was busy lying under the shade with sunglasses above his eyes. In his hand was an open coconut, which he sipped gently with a straw. Atlas and the other three were all in the water, swimming around. The area across the shore was wide. Several tall coconut trees could be seen around with numerous fruits on them. Sylvia guessed that this was where Kai had gotten the coconut from. A gentle breeze blew over her body, giving her a sense of peace. It almost seemed as if she was back in the city. Sylvia began to look through her storage ring. Although she didn't have a beach mat and umbrella like Kai does, the long towel in her ring could serve as one. But first, she needs to wash the dirt off her body. Her whole body was covered in soil that made her itch all over. Along with the towel, she took out her tent and set it up. Heading inside, she began to wash herself clean. Once she was done, she changed into a clean dress and began to wash her dirty combat suit before spreading it outside on the beach. Afterward, Miley came by and invited her out for a swim. However, Sylvia politely rejected the offer. She was currently tired mentally, and all she wished to have right now was rest. “Okay. You should get some rest then.” Miley spoke to her and left. Without anyone disturbing her to go for a swim, Sylvia took the time to inspect the area around the beach. Apart from the sound of the roaring waves and the fluttering of the coconut trees behind, everything seems peaceful. It was so peaceful that it felt unreal. How can such a place exist in the wild and yet not be discovered by anyone? The gentle breeze blew Sylvia's hair around, and soon, her eyelids started to get heavy. 'Well, I should get some sleep first.' She was about to go inside the tent to take a rest when a gruesome scream suddenly rang out. Sylvia hurriedly turned her head around and looked towards the sea.Milo, who was swimming leisurely, now had a trace of fear on his face. Enclosing him was seawater that was starting to turn red from blood. Then, under the eyes of everyone, Milo was dragged downward into the ocean. “Milo!”
