Chapter 161 I Will Protect You

Before Sylvia attempted to jump into the hordes of beasts, Susu had already informed her that he had a way to take down the Night Wolves leader, which is the reason why she dared to charge forward. Once their leader is gone, the morale of the Night Wolves will dwindle a lot, making it easy for them to be obliterated. But before she could carry out the plan, Ian had foolishly run after her and summoned out the S-rank Huji. Now that the leader of the Night Wolves has been alerted by them, there's no way she would be able to approach the other party. Sylvia turned to Ian, not knowing whether she should blame him for ruining her plan. Ian didn't notice Sylvia's gaze on him. However, his expression became grim when he heard what she said. Huji hadn't fully healed from the previous battle, but he could still manage to hold down the five S-rank wolves by relying on his flying advantage. However, the big problem at hand now was how to deal with the leader hiding in the dark. For it to be able to have five S-rank beasts under its command, it definitely implies that it might be in the SS-rank class or perhaps even higher. Ian's face became paler at this realization. His back was instantly covered in sweat. A sudden sense of death, which he had never felt before, took over his rationality. Sylvia saw the changes in his expression and moved her gaze away. Her sight settled on the figure moving among the hordes of Night Wolves. Tyron's figure moved like a bolt of light, the sword in his hand leaving trails of blood everywhere he passed through. Under the pressure of the S-rank Huji, the Night Wolves remained suppressed and could only lie still as Tyron and the others took their lives. Under this massacre, the population of the Night Wolves went down to 100. Undoubtedly, there's no way the hidden boss behind would watch its underlings getting killed. 'Aaaaaoooo!!!' The loud howl spread out, and an insurmountable pressure pressed down on everyone. Huji, who was flying in the sky, was also affected and descended to the ground. The five beasts below, who were already waiting for an opportunity, immediately lunged straight at him. The crazy battle between the six beasts commenced. “Let's go.” Although the pressure on her was great, Sylvia didn't think it would be good for her to wait and die here. So, she jumped down from the tree and charged towards the monsters that had just regained their freedom. The sharp wind blades swept forward, causing several injuries to their body. 'Thud.' Ian's feet landed on the ground. The long sword in his hand slashed sideways, cutting off the head of a night wolf that was trying to sneak an attack on him. As they fought, Ian couldn't help but glance at Sylvia's collected figure and felt a deep sense of admiration in his heart. 'Even with the awareness of the massive danger behind us, she’s still able to keep her cool.' He realized that he had a lot to learn upon seeing Sylvia’s action. Tyron finally stepped out of the beast horde. When he saw the two youngsters battling against monsters in the distance, the anger in his heart surged higher. “You naughty brats!” Tyron's face was currently covered in the blood of beasts he had slain, causing his appearance to resemble some bloodied demon. He stepped forward and killed the monsters surrounding the two youngsters before turning to face them. When Ian saw Tyron's expression that seemed to want to swallow them whole, he couldn't help but shiver. “President.” He recalled Colton's sheepish voice and tried to emulate it by using it to flatter Tyron. Unfortunately, his expression was unnatural, causing Tyron's lips to twitch when he saw this. Tyron stared at Ian, who was trying to flatter him, and then at Sylvia, who stood at the side with an indifferent look on her face. “You…” He felt that he might die of anger if he continued to look at her indifferent expression. “Do you realize your mistakes, you two?” “Yes, we do.” Ian hurriedly admitted his guilt. Sylvia, on the other hand, remained silent, not uttering a word. Of course, there's no way she would admit to it. All she wanted to do was take down the Night Wolves leader. Ian was the one who decided to chase after her. Hence, she wasn't guilty at all. Tyron didn't think much about Sylvia's silence. He just thought that the latter acquiesced to her fault. “Follow me, you two. We need to get away from here.” Only a few night wolves were left standing. Tyron feared that the leader might take action soon. So they need to get out of here before that happens. He turned around and walked away. Ian and Sylvia followed behind him. Halfway down the road, the deep howl of a wolf rang behind them. What followed it was a loud rustling sound and then, the emergence of a night wolf beast that was ten times bigger than a normal night wolf. Its entire aura was filled with gloom, causing fear in everyone's hearts. The beast king's mark over its forehead gleams brightly under the night, signifying its dominance as a leader. Tyron's heart fell when he witnessed this scene. What he finally feared came true? “Run!” The three people sprinted forward. Unfortunately, the beast behind them was much faster. As the trio nearest to it, Sylvia's group was the first to face the attack of the beast king. “Go. I will--” Tyron didn't even complete his sentence when his body flew backward like a cannonball and crashed onto the bodies of the dead beasts on the ground. Luckily, his physical strength was very strong, so he didn't pass out on the go. However, the injuries he sustained were grave. “Boss!” Gael cried out. The team was still surrounded by several night wolves, so they didn't have the chance to go look at Tyron's situation. Perhaps seeing the fat meal on the ground, one of the five wolves who were battling against Huji suddenly diverted its attention and charged towards Tyron. “Scram!” A green vine instantly appeared out of thin air and slapped the beast away. Although the vine didn't bring it any harm, the night wolf became furious and turned to the perpetrator who had just attacked it. Miley finally ran to Tyron's side and checked his condition. When she saw that he was still alive, she let out a sigh of relief. “Don't worry. This time, I will be the one to protect you.” Miley's mouth moved again, but there was no sound coming out of her mouth. However, Tyron could read what she said. ‘Even if it meant laying down my life for you, I will protect you.’ His pupils instantly dilated, and he reached out to stop her from doing anything reckless. But before he could open his mouth to speak, the girl in front of him was already gone.
