Interstellar Businesswoman Tycoon
'Whoosh, whoosh.' Several wind blades appeared in front of Sylvia, cutting down the surrounding vines. They were currently treading through the dense forest areas. The earth was quite damp, which led to the faster growth of the plant vines. With the road opened, they began to move forward. As they walked, Sylvia suddenly felt something hitting her back. The object that hit her bounced back and fell to the ground. When she looked downward, she saw that it was just a fruit core. Fruit core? Around her were tall trees and twisted vines. How can a fruit core fall on her out of nowhere? “What happened?” Kai saw Sylvia's sudden pause and asked her. “Nothing.” Sylvia shook her head, not wanting to overthink the situation. It's just a fruit core. Perhaps the wind must have blown it towards a nearby tree, and it just coincidentally happened to fall on her. Sylvia pushed the matter to the back of her mind and continued walking. However, Jose, who was walking behind her, suddenly let out a yelp. “Aww.” He rubbed the back of his head which was throbbing from pain, and looked upward at the dense trees. “What happened?” Tyron heard the cry and turned backward. “Something just fell on my head. I think it must have been a tree twig or something.” Jose didn't see the object that hit him, so he just made a guess on his own.“Trees shed their twigs once in a while. Just consider yourself unlucky to be hit by one.” Walker laughed at Jose's predicament. “I hope you will have your karma soon.” Jose became upset when he saw Walker making fun of him. “What kind of superstitious-- Ah!” A loud cry erupted from Walker's mouth before he could complete his sentence. Jose was stunned by the sudden scenario. Does karma happen to a person this fast? “Ha-ha. Serves you right.” Jose began to gloat at the latter's misfortune. Walker didn't care about Jose's mocking tone. His eyes subconsciously looked downward, catching a round thing sticking out between his feet. Walker had a guess that this round thing might have been the cause of his pain. So he lowered his hand and picked it up. A fruit core? The fruit core seems to have just been freshly extracted, with the fruit juice still sticking to its body. Thinking that someone had intentionally hit him on the head, Walker became furious. “Who the hell threw this fruit core at me? Step out now before I beat you up myself.” As if provoked by his threat, a rain of fruit cores came down on him. Everybody instantly became alert upon witnessing this scene. “Take cover behind the trees!” Miley shouted. Walker didn't dare to stand still and ran towards a big tree to take cover. Unfortunately, the unknown thing seemed to have its eyes glued to him and kept throwing the fruit cores in his direction. “What is happening?” Ian rested his back on the tree he had chosen and turned to Sylvia, who was a tree away from him. Sylvia pushed her head out and looked in the direction the fruit cores were hailing from. Above, she saw a furry monkey beast sitting across a tree branch while hurling out several fruit cores towards their direction. No. It wasn't just one but a wave of them. Some of them with keen senses detected Sylvia spying on them and threw out several fruit cores in her direction. Sylvia hurriedly pulled her head backward and hid behind the tree. 'Pak, pak, pak.' The sound of fruit cores smashing against the trees filled the surrounding area. Some trees couldn't handle the force thrown at them and began to give way. “What the hell are those beasts?” A sense of trepidation rose in Sylvia's heart, especially when she recalled the crazy red eyes of those monkey beasts. She didn't know where Susu had gone. The latter had been unresponsive to her since last night. As a result, the info on those beasts couldn't be displayed to her right now. “That's a Gluttony Mischievous Monkey beast.” Atlas's serious voice answered from the side. “They live in thousands, and are fond of making pranks on both humans and beasts. They love eating fruits the most and would always bring with them all the cores of the fruit they have eaten so far. Besides that, their intelligence is said to be comparable to that of humans. They are very smart and cunning.” “How come we didn't detect their existence lurking inside the forest?” Gael had a dire expression on his face at this moment. Most mercenaries would always pray not to encounter this vile monster on their journey. This is because of their special hobby. Robbing. Ninety percent of mercenaries who had encountered these monsters had been robbed of all their fortune. Tyron was always a cautious person. There is no way he would dare to venture into the area where the Gluttony Mischievous Monkeys were residing. The surrounding vines showed traces of not being disturbed by outsiders, meaning that they've been growing freely all through the years. If that's so, then the sudden appearance of these beasts might be due to another factor. Tyron thought about it and suddenly arrived at an answer. Damn. How can their team be so unlucky to meet a wave of migrating monkeys? This was distressing. Tyron's answer was right. The Gluttony Monkeys had decided to take a short nap before continuing their journey. Unfortunately, at that time, the Tyron guild members entered their resting place, catching the attention of the monkeys. After a long day of journey, one of the monkeys was bored and decided to play a prank on them. However, Walker's threatening words seem to have aggravated the whole colony, leading to the current outrage. “What should we do? We can't possibly offer all of our belongings to them, right?” Ryker had a troubled expression on his face. “Why don't we fight them off?” Sylvia suggested.“We can't.” Miley's expression was stern as she replied. “Those beasts are very cunning and have several insidious tricks. If we were to fight them, we would be the ones to suffer the most.” Are these monkey beasts that powerful? Even top-tier mercenaries wouldn't dare to face them head-on. Sylvia felt that her information on the beast world was truly lacking. If it wasn't for Susu's help, her life would have been at stake countless times. Susu? Could it be that he's going through another upgrade? They all continue to hide behind the trees. Although numerous cores were thrown in their direction, Walker continued to be the main focus of the attack. The tree shielding him had been smashed down, and his defense equipment had shattered many times in a row. Now, he was at his last doorstep. “President, please do something. I don't think I can hold on any longer!” Walker shouted out. He wanted to cry, but he couldn't. The monkey beasts were very cunning. They keep targeting the weaker part of his equipments, rendering them useless. Seeing Walker's distressing situation, Tyron soon stepped out of his hiding place. Sylvia looked at him, wanting to see what he was about to do. The Gluttony Monkeys also saw the figure emerging behind the tree and shifted their focus of attack to him. Tyron's equipment was much stronger than Walker's own, so he was able to hold on under the barrage of fruit cores. “I would like to talk to your leader. I'm sure you know what fruit this is.” A glowing blue fruit appeared on Tyron's palm, and he extended it outward. The monkeys, seeing the blue fruit in the Tyron palms, immediately stopped their attack. Their eyes stared greedily at the fruit in his palm. Immediately, a brown figure flashed by, and the fruit in Tyron's hand vanished. Sylvia, who witnessed the fruit being stolen, was expecting Tyron to give chase. However, Tyron continued to stand still, as if waiting for someone’s arrival. The brown monkey, with the fruit in its hand, disappeared into the dense trees. Minutes after, the monkeys began to chant loudly. “Ooh Ahh! Ooh Ahh!” They began to move sideways, creating a gap between them. Sylvia continued to watch this strange event. Just then, several brown monkeys, carrying what appeared to be a chair made from wood, strolled down the pathway made by the monkeys. Seated on top of the chair was a Gluttony Monkey whose appearance was different from the others. Unlike the black and brown fur the other monkeys have, this monkey's fur was very white. So white that it was spotless of dirt. The rare thing about it was its gold pupils, which brought a sense of majestic feelings to them. 'Thud!' The monkeys landed on the ground. However, the wooden chair on their shoulder remained sturdy, without disturbing the person on top of it. With it closer, the golden king mark on the monkey's forehead was revealed to everyone. “I love the gift you brought to me, human.”Hearing the sudden voice coming from the monkey's mouth, Sylvia's eyes widened in shock. Ian, who was next to her, also had his mouth agape. What did they just see? A talking beast!
