Chapter 115 The Two-faced Beast Cub

Urea's expression constantly changed as she listened to the horrid words the girl was hurling about Sylvia. “Are they sure that the two are best friends?” One of the students couldn’t help but ask. “What kind of monster sh*t friends? Even a blind person can hear it from the uncouth tone in her words. Who the hell will speak badly about their friends in the public eye? She's clearly an enemy of hers.” “Yeah. I too, do not believe everything she says about Sylvia. I think she's just a jealous person trying to ruin Sylvia's reputation.” “What should we do about this, class president?” Urea looked up from her device and gazed at Uast. “From the picture background, it looks like it was taken here today. Someone must have captured Sylvia together with Creamery Creamer CEO and posted it on the net to destroy her image.” “Whoa, that's so evil.” Even the others were stunned by this act of evilness. “Do we report to the teachers and let them find out who's behind it?” Uast thought about it before answering. “The teachers must have been aware about it earlier than us.” “Then what should we do?” Urea didn't want to watch as Sylvia got bullied on the net. “The negative comments under the post are becoming alarming. I'm afraid if we don't do anything, her reputation will be ruined sooner than later. Even her little brother will be dragged into the dirty water. I'm sure this is not what we all want to see.” Uast knew that what Urea said was right. But what can they, a group of powerless high school students, do? Even if they went all out to defend Sylvia, their little words wouldn't be able to cause a splash in the huge ocean of the net. Unless the CEO of Creamery Creamer comes out to clarify the matter himself, there's nothing they can do.Uast finally decided. “Let's keep this away from Sylvia first and make sure she doesn't learn about what's happening.” Well, as long as Sylvia doesn't check on the news herself, everything will be all peaceful. === But unbeknownst to Uast, there was a very great informant besides Sylvia. [Tsk, just take a look at them. Hiring so many trolls to spill dirt on you. They must surely have a stockpile of money to spend.] Susu was scrolling through the millions of comments on the net. [Ah, it looks like that Maisie girl has already found a way to suppress the pain, host. He-he-he. Only if she knew that the more she suppressed the pain, the greater the rebound would be. What a dumbass.] The little system was busy having fun alone and, at the same time, letting out some simple commentary like a sports commentator. Although disturbed by the constant voice in her head, Sylvia took it as listening to a radio broadcast. Lying on the sitting room floor was a big white wolf king. Two small ones could be seen climbing around its huge body as they indulge in their fantasy play. Sky had already learned the act of miniaturization, so the sitting room didn't look stuffed with his current size. ‘Eek, eek.’ Lis cried out as he ran around Sky's body. His sight was finally settled on Sky's huge tail. The little fox immediately dashed forward, biting the tail with its small canines. ‘Come on, get up. Get up and fight me. Are you looking down on me because of my small body size? I said, get up and fight me head-on.’ From a human view, the small fox was only letting out a low whimpering. Anyone would have thought that this was a scene of a cute fox playing with a wolf tail. However, only Sky, who truly understood the beast's language, knew that this small cub wasn't cute at all. The speech coming out of its mouth was more vulgar than an evil person. Who could tell where it has learned such ill-mannered behavior? Since the little one's canines couldn't even pierce an inch through his thick fur, Sky ignored the squabbling beast and went back to sleep. Except for the continuous disturbing words in his ears, everything was all peaceful. ‘Clank, clank.’ The little robot 'Bai' was busy making its way into the kitchen. Sylvia followed it, ready to give some hands if needed. On their way, the light brain on her wrist suddenly made a beep. Checking upon it, she saw that it was a message from Mike, assuring her that he would handle the situation on the net. She sent back an 'okay' and continued to walk forward. Just then, the doorbell of the mobile home rang. “Hmm. Could that be Uast at the door?” Her steps paused. “I'll go and open the door, sister.” Asher jumped up from Sky's body and sprinted towards the door with an excited smile on his face. The little fox, who was still celebrating its winning of scaring away a mighty beast king, saw Asher excitedly sprint and immediately follow along to watch the show at the door. Sylvia didn't think much about Asher opening the door, so she just let him. But what she didn't notice was that a certain system had suddenly stopped talking the moment the bell rang. … Ian stood outside the door, waiting patiently. As the crown prince, he had never loosed his composure outside. But for the first time, he could feel his fingers trembling due to nervousness. It looks like he definitely has to visit the doctor since so many weird things have been occurring to his body lately. The door in front of him was soon opened. Appearing before him was the little figure of a young boy who appeared to be 4 or 5 years of age. Below the boy's foot was a little white fox who kept letting out a low whimpering as it wagged its tail. Ian puts on his best smile and greets, “Hello. Is your sister inside?” He had already made a guess on the identity of the little kid. “Who are you?” Asher looked up at the tall, handsome stranger on their doorstep. “Do you know my sister?” Not waiting for his reply, the little kid turned around his body and called out. “Sister, there's someone looking for you.” “Alright, I'll be right there.” Sylvia stepped out of the kitchen space and arrived at the door entrance. Seeing the familiar figure at the doorstep, there was a bit of surprise in her face. “Hello. Good morning.” Ian waves at her in greetings. “Morning. Please come inside.” Sylvia stepped to the side and invited him in. “Thank you.” Ian stepped inside the house and soon was met with a comforting warmth on his face. Sylvia closed the door behind her and led him into the sitting room. Asher and the little fox trailed after them. Lis was wondering who this stranger who had barged into their territory was. Asher, on the other hand, appeared transfixed as he stared at Ian's back turned to him. 'This person is so good-looking.' He couldn't help but thought. 'I really want to see his face much longer.'If Susu had known what the little fella was thinking about, he would have yelled: You betrayer. How dare you be swooned in over by a handsome face. Luckily, the certain system doesn't have the ability of a mind reader. Ian sat on one of the sofas in the living room. From the corner of his eyes, he caught sight of the white fluffy figure lying in the corner of the living room. “How are you doing, Sky?” The wolf king, too lazy to open his eyes, flipped his tail in response. “I'll get you some refreshments to keep cool.” Sylvia headed inside the kitchen to get him something to drink. Ian was now left alone. Well, apart from the little kid and his little beast follower who had been staring at him for some time now. Wanting to break the awkward atmosphere of the room, he asked. “What's your name, little one?” If it were in the past, Asher would have hidden himself away when faced with questions from a stranger. But perhaps because he fell at ease due to Ian's handsome appearance, Asher moved closer to him and answered. “My name is Asher.” “Asher. What a nice name you have.” Ian stretched out his hand and rubbed the little fella's head. “Who are you, big brother? Are you one of my sister's friends? Then why haven't I seen you before?” “I'm your…” Before Ian could finish his sentence, Sylvia walked out of the kitchen with a cup of drink in her hand. “Here.” She handed him the drink. “Thank you.” Ian took the drink and took a sip out of it. “This is good.” He placed it down on the table in front of him before saying, “Wait a minute, I have something to give you.” He puts his hand into his pocket and reaches for the small box inside. “Here.” Opening the lid, the beautiful necklace inside was revealed. “The last time, I promised that I'd gift the necklace to you when next we meet. And here I am to fulfill that promise.” The tip of Ian's ear turned red as he stretched out the box forward to Sylvia. Although this was the first time a male, apart from Uncle Mike, would ever gift her something, there wasn't any bubbling excitement in Sylvia's heart. However, she puts on a polite smile while reaching out for the box. “Thank you. Why don't you stay back and have a meal with us before you leave?” “Ah.” Ian's eyes widen by the unexpected offer. “Then I won't sit on any ceremony with you.” His lips unconsciously curl up into a smile. He had rushed over here at high speed just to see her. Why would he refuse the offer to spend more time with her? Hence, while Sylvia left to assist 'Bai' in the kitchen, he started a new round of conversation with Asher.
