Keep bothering me, and I'll lock you in the mobile base, or bury you in Farm One. Wish the farm grows a huge pile of poop tomorrow!" Hearing Jasper rant, Caroline gently tapped his head. "Watch your words. That's Professor Valdez." Jasper, feeling really angry, scrambled up Caroline's arm and landed on her shoulder. He kept showing his teeth at Nelson, and the fur on his back stood straight up. He really hated Nelson right now. "My blood isn't something you can just take, you clueless twolegged fool!" Jasper snapped. Then he jumped off Caroline's shoulder and vanished in a flash. Nelson ran up to Caroline, breathing hard, eyes full of disappointment as he stared at where Jasper had disappeared. "Caroline, why can't Jasper be a little gentler? He's such a cute cat. Our fierce-looking Tartrate is actually super sweet. He loves rubbing his big head in my palm." Caroline patted Nelson's back. "Jasper isn't an ordinary cat." There was a pause for three seconds. When she looked up at Nelson, she saw him frozen in place, staring blankly in the direction Jasper had disappeared. He looked like a lovesick teenage boy who had just said goodbye to his crush. "True. Jasper's one of a kind. If he gave in that easily, he wouldn't be Jasper. Caroline, you're right!" His eyes sparkled with excitement. "I'll treat Jasper well. I'll make him give me his blood willingly for research." Caroline was lost for words. What just happened? How did Nelson suddenly get fired up, and in such a soft, sentimental way? The world of cat lovers is scary...And it got even crazier.
