Stronger Every Time I Die

Chapter 701 Brother and Sister’s Secret Mission

Little Norris stared curiously at the tiny bundle in his father’s arms. “Daddy, is this my baby sister?” Arthur crouched down so Norris could see better. “Yes, this is your sister. From now on, you have to protect her, okay?” His voice softened without him realizing it. Norris reached out to touch the newborn’s soft cheek, then tilted his head. “Daddy, Mommy, why did you make her so small? Couldn’t you make her bigger? How long will it take for her to grow up?” His string of innocent questions made everyone in the room laugh. Nancy ruffled his hair. “Silly boy, you and your sister both came out of your mommy’s tummy. If she were any bigger, she’d have burst Mommy’s belly!” “Oh… I see.” Norris nodded solemnly, as if storing away this important knowledge. Like Arthur, he was calm and serious by nature. Even at only two or three years old, he carried himself like a little adult. Back in the hospital room, a team of top nurses was already waiting. Once the baby was fed and settled beside Ashley, Norris climbed onto the bed, crouching near his sister’s head. He studied her intently, occasionally brushing a finger over her face or poking her cheek. As if sensing his curiosity, the tiny girl smiled—a toothless, gummy grin that melted her brother’s heart. “Daddy, Mommy, Penny is so cute! I love her!” Arthur and Ashley both patted his head. “We’re glad you do.” Two years later… The little girl was now two, and Norris was five. In a small grove on Heaven Island, Norris led his sister through the trees with quiet, careful steps. “Shh—be careful. Don’t let them see us,” he whispered over his shoulder. Penny nodded solemnly, answering in a soft, milky voice, “Okay…” They slipped through the grove until they reached a thick patch of bushes. Voices floated from the other side—Mia and Sage. Peeking through the leaves, the children saw Sage holding Mia’s hand. “Mia, Arthur’s kids are already two years old. When are we getting married?” Mia’s cheeks turned pink, and she playfully swatted his chest. “Who said I’m marrying you?”Then came the unmistakable sound of a kiss. Sage chuckled. “If you don’t marry me, who else would you marry?” After graduating, Sage had joined Heaven’s Cult at Arthur’s invitation and quickly became one of his most capable aides, handling education with Mr. Hugo and lending a hand in countless other areas. Mia had joined as well, serving as head of legal affairs with impressive skill. On the other side of the bushes, another kiss made Norris stifle a laugh. Penny didn’t quite understand, but she giggled just because he did. Norris motioned for her to follow as they tiptoed away. This grove wasn’t far from the residential area—quiet, secluded, and perfect for secret meetings.
