Stronger Every Time I Die

Chapter 536 Traitor

Ashley was stunned. What did he say? How had she never known Arthur could be like this?! Arthur held her firmly, and she didn't dare struggle too much, afraid that her movements would draw attention from outside. Even though they were in a corner where no one could see, there was always a chance someone might walk in! Or if someone peeked through the glass on the door, they might still catch a glimpse. Faced with Arthur's teasing, Ashley had no choice but to endure it silently! Her face was flushed red to the tips of her ears, her body squirming slightly but not daring to make any big movements or sounds. It was torture for her. A few days later, Arthur and Ashley were discharged from the hospital again. This time, they hadn't informed their families, sparing them the worry. Last time, it was only because their families already knew about their trip to the outskirts of Mose City that they had to tell them. Otherwise, they would have kept it quiet. Over the past few days, under Arthur's arrangements and with crucial information obtained by Taylor from Solivair's network, Claudia Corporation had struck back hard against Tremo Group in the business world. For the first time in years, the Tremo family's company suffered a significant stock drop because of another company. Solivair was furious! Though the stock decline didn't threaten the Tremo family's foundation, Solivair felt deeply insulted! To the Tremo family, Claudia Corporation wasn't even a major player. Solivair had never taken them seriously! Yet this very company he'd looked down upon had taught him a harsh lesson! After several consecutive losses, Solivair realized there might be a mole in his company! Arthur's predictions were scarily accurate, as if he'd known Tremo Group's every move in advance. Not only had he snatched several bids, but ongoing projects were also frequently disrupted due to Claudia Corporation's interference. This directly led to their stock decline, resulting in massive losses. Solivair couldn't help but suspect a traitor in his company. Everything had been fine before, so why were problems suddenly cropping up everywhere? No matter how capable Arthur was, he couldn't infiltrate their internal operations! After much thought, Solivair recalled recent interactions and could only think of one person–Zac.Logically, given Zac's hatred for Arthur, there was no way they'd work together. Zac would never help Arthur. But recently, apart from Zac, no new insiders had been added. It was after Zac's arrival that their company started encountering problems! Solivair's eyes narrowed dangerously as he gazed toward Governance University's direction. Zac… could it be you? Zac had originally wanted to attend Fusion University. But now, he had pledged himself to Solivair. Though Solivair had promised to help him get into his desired university if he lured out John, once Zac officially joined Solivair's side, Solivair sent him to Governance University instead. The reason was simple–Arthur was there. Solivair didn't raise useless people. Since Zac had chosen to follow him, he had to prove his worth–even if only temporarily. So, which university Zac attended was no longer his decision the moment he aligned with Solivair. By siding with Solivair, Zac had effectively given up his freedom. Zac wasn't resentful about this. He'd known the price from the start. If only he'd realized Zane's true feelings earlier, his future might have been freer. But then again, if he ever learned that Zane had only ever deceived and used him, would he still believe in genuine kindness in this world? Though Governance University wasn't his first choice, it was still a top-tier institution in the country. Attending here wasn't a bad deal. Solivair must have pulled some strings to get Governance University to accept Zac as a transfer student. On the day Arthur was discharged, Zac suddenly received a call from Solivair. Zac was well aware of Tremo Group's recent troubles. He kept constant tabs on the Tremo family's affairs. He also knew Solivair likely suspected him now.
