Chapter 532 Money Transfer

Finley always sent Kent or Henry to make things difficult for them, turning them away with excuses. But they were genuinely poor and desperately needed the money to continue their education. They did their best to follow his instructions, no matter how many times they were asked to resubmit documents or run around in circles. Yet, no matter how well they followed instructions, Kent and Henry would always find new reasons to reject them. Eventually, they'd even resort to stupid excuses. This group of students had nearly been driven to the brink of despair by Kent and Henry. At first, they tried their best to cooperate, but after so much effort, they realized they were being played Kent and Henry were just finding random excuses to mess with them! How could they not fall into despair? It was precisely because Kent and Henry making things difficult for them that their documents this time were so carefully prepared. Before coming, they had even braced themselves for another round of document revisions. But to their shock, Arthur didn't even scold them; he just signed and stamped their applications! They couldn't believe it. Just like that, their subsidies were approved? They wouldn't have to starve anymore? Or worry about tuition? Or sneak out on weekends to work part-time jobs to earn money? Arthur handed the signed documents back to them. "All done. Since I can't really move right now, you'll need to submit these to the academic office yourselves. The teachers will process them quickly. If all goes well, your stipends should arrive in your accounts soon." Then he glanced outside. "Where are the others? Why are there only two of you?" The two took the documents in a daze, their minds still struggling to process what had just happened. Hudson quickly stepped in. "Arthur, we didn't want to tire you out, so we only brought the two most urgent cases today." He scratched his head sheepishly. Arthur chuckled. "I'm not made of glass. I won't break that easily." He turned back to the two. "Go ahead and submit these now. The sooner you do, the sooner you'll get the funds. And tell anyone else with prepared documents to bring them over. If I can't finish today, I'll do it tomorrow." "Um..." The two finally snapped out of their daze but hesitated, looking to Hudson for guidance.Noticing this, Arthur strictly turned to Hudson. "I'm the one reviewing these, not you. You don't need to worry so much." All this hesitation was just wasting time. Seeing Arthur's suddenly stern expression, Hudson froze, then agreed. "Okay." After Hudson spread the word, a stream of documents arrived all afternoon. Arthur's current hospital was the closest to the school. After all, he was bleeding when the police brought him in. For students, it was a quick trip. During a break, Arthur transferred a sum of money to Mateo to supplement the fund. The school might not need it, but it was Arthur's way of contributing. Every year, the school budgeted for this fund, but in the last two years, hardly anyone had applied, leaving the money untouched. When Mateo saw the transfer note, he was puzzled and secretly shocked. Soon, Arthur's phone rang. Mateo asked, "Arthur, what's going on? Why are there suddenly so many poor students?" Stipend applications were usually submitted at the start of the term, with few coming in during the year. He'd been wondering why there were so few applicants lately and had even posted notices reminding students in need to apply. But if they didn't come forward, Mateo had no way of knowing who needed help. His schedule was packed, and he couldn't personally inspect every class. Now, Arthur was suddenly reporting a large number of poor students. This was Arthur's way of smoothing the process for them. He'd given Mateo a heads-up.
