Stronger Every Time I Die

Chapter 347 Peeking Problems

The first thought for both of them was Finley! Armed with physical prowess, Arthur stepped forward to open the door first, with Taylor close behind. When Arthur opened the door, to his surprise, it was Sage and Mia! "Sage? Mia? What brings you here?" Taylor asked in astonishment. He had been at Governance University for quite some time, and they had rarely come to his dorm before! Mia rolled her eyes in annoyance at Taylor's comment, "Can't we come?" Sage retorted unapologetically, "This isn't your dorm anyway." Taylor scratched his head awkwardly. In the entire Governance University, he feared Sage and Mia the most. In their presence, Taylor was like an obedient brother, not daring to harbor any petty thoughts. Arthur stepped aside, "Sage, Mia, come in and let's talk." Their dorm had a large living room with a small courtyard outside. Sage and Mia nodded and walked straight inside. As soon as the door closed, Mia got straight to the point, "We heard about what just happened." Hearing her mention the recent incident, both Taylor and Arthur tensed up, heads hanging down like children who had done something wrong. Their eyes pierced through the facade like sharp daggers, making Taylor and Arthur's petty schemes glaringly obvious. Especially Taylor, usually fearless, was exceptionally well-behaved in front of them! Even though Mia and Taylor were the same age, Taylor felt intimidated in their presence. Mia was like his sister, with an almost blood-deep authority! Taylor had expected a scolding, but Mia said directly, "What you did today was good." Taylor and Arthur looked up in astonishment. Taylor, incredulously, asked, "You're not mad at us?" Mia rolled her eyes again, "Why would I be mad at you for that? It's obvious that Finley was just looking for trouble." Their eyes lit up! Taylor didn't hesitate to flatter."You're indeed my genius Mia! With eyes sharp as hawks, you don’t even need to think to see through Finley’s schemes!" Mia promptly knocked on Taylor's round head. "Just your mouth running!" Sage shook his head, resigned, "You guys did right to fight back. We can't let others walk all over us." Pausing, Sage added seriously, "Remember to call us if anything happens. Today, if there had been someone articulate there, you wouldn’t have gotten off so easily." Mia nodded in agreement, "This school is full of people with complex motives. You're still young. Don't try to tough it out alone. Let us know, and we'll handle it for you." Hearing their serious words, Arthur was deeply moved. Since he arrived at Governance University, they had all been busy with their own things. Aside from greeting Hugo on the first day, Arthur had hardly interacted with Sage and Mia. Yet, here they were, offering their unconditional support and solemnly assuring him that they were his backup. Hearing this, Taylor grinned foolishly. He nodded obediently, "Okay, I got it." Then, patting Arthur on the shoulder, Taylor said, "Arthur, remember to call me if you ever run into trouble too! I'll help you out!" Mia laughed out loud at this. Even the usually stoic Sage couldn't help but crack a smile. Mia mocked mercilessly, "You? Solve someone else's problems?" Taylor defiantly raised his head, "What? Don't underestimate me!" Mia scoffed, "If it weren't for Arthur just now, you'd probably be a pariah by now, chased by everyone!" "With your smarts, better think about how to protect yourself!" Taylor's face turned red at her words. Watching them tease each other, Arthur felt an indescribable warmth. The world was full of flaws and imperfections. But Arthur was fortunate to have met many warm-hearted people. They were like the sun, offering him warmth unconditionally. Even though he and Sage and Mia were barely acquainted, having only met a few times. Arthur finally asked, unable to hold back, "Why are you guys so good to me?" Their smiles remained undiminished. They answered with a smile, "Because Mr. Hugo took you as a student. Since you're our junior, as fellow disciples, it's natural for us to look out for you."
