Maris’ right hand dangled at an unnatural angle from his arm, clearly broken. "Ah! Gosh!" Following that, Megan let out a terrified scream. Her voice acted like a switch, triggering a wave of screams from the more faint-hearted women in the crowd. They lived in a peaceful society; where had they ever seen such a horrifying scene? Maris's hand hung limply, the palm oddly facing upward as his arm swelled visibly due to the fracture. The crowd watched Arthur in disbelief, terror filling their eyes. Even Ashley was shocked by the scene before her, but she instinctively moved closer to Arthur, ready to react to any sudden moves. Arthur thought she was scared and covered Ashley’s eyes, saying, “Don’t look, it’s unsettling to watch.” Ashley felt a warmth in her heart. She gently pulled his hand away, showing a brilliant smile, and replied, “It’s okay, I’m not some delicate girl.” She stopped looking at Maris’ hand and instead kept a vigilant eye on their surroundings, in case any of Maris's friends decided to attack Arthur. Some of Maris’ acquaintances quickly surrounded him. Maris, clutching his broken hand, collapsed in pain, while Megan's face turned deathly pale. She stuttered, pointing at Arthur, “You, you, you dared to hurt Mr. Maris!” Realizing something, she quickly withdrew her hand as if afraid that Arthur, in a fit of rage, might break hers too. Maris, enduring the pain, shouted at the few around him. “What are you waiting for? Hit him!” The men exchanged glances. They had seen clearly just how capable Arthur was; his reaction was extraordinarily quick, managing to break Maris’ hand with one hand! That’s why they had hesitated to strike immediately. But now that Maris had spoken, if they didn’t act, they would offend him. Gritting their teeth, they swung their fists and charged at Arthur together. The moment Maris spoke, Arthur quickly pushed Ashley to the side. Ashley wanted to fight alongside him, but Arthur knew her capabilities.She could easily outmatch other girls, but against these robust men, Ashley stood no chance. Worried she might be stubborn, Arthur quickly said, “Keep yourself safe, don’t distract me!” Ashley quickly calmed down. She was not irrational. She knew her limits and didn’t want to be a burden to Arthur or cause him trouble. Realizing this, Ashley quickly blended into the crowd to avoid being used as a hostage against Arthur. From within the crowd, she looked for opportunities to sneak attack and somehow assist Arthur. Seeing Ashley safe, Arthur felt a weight lift from his heart. With no more concerns, he dodged the men's punches, and with a swift kick, knocked down two who were close by. Though they were accustomed to roughing others up, these men were pampered and lacked professional training. Up against Arthur, getting beaten was inevitable. After the first two fell, Arthur didn’t pause. He grabbed another two by their arms and with a throw, slammed them hard onto the ground. The impact was so severe that their heads collided, making a loud "bang" that echoed painfully. Seeing their companions down, the remaining attackers’ legs turned to jelly, but Arthur didn’t plan on letting them off. While they were still dazed, he delivered powerful punches to their jaws. Both were immediately bloodied, stumbling backward to collapse on the floor, their heads hitting the ground with a thud. Those who were less injured scrambled up, shouting as they tried to attack again. Arthur, without hesitation, struck again, and after a few more screams, no one could get up; the area filled with moans of pain. The crowd was terrified by this sudden turn of events, and many retreated from the scene, fearful of getting involved. Megan, who had been at Maris’ side, had never seen such violence; she trembled all over, her previous arrogance gone. Ashley watched Arthur in awe. She knew he had trained, but she hadn’t realized that he could handle so many people on his own without a scratch! She realized she wasn’t needed at all. Maris was both in pain and furious. "Arthur!
