Stronger Every Time I Die

Chapter 137 The Arrival of Mr Young

"Mr. Young is here! Mr. Young has arrived!" At those words, the crowd lit up with excitement. No one paid Arthur any more attention as they surged toward the entrance. John glanced at Arthur, suppressing the urge to stay behind and mock him. Instead, he quickly rushed forward, afraid that if he was too slow, someone else would seize the opportunity before him. That’s Stanley! The personal steward of Cloudia Corporation’s chairman! Zac deliberately lagged a step behind. Once the crowd had mostly cleared out, he could no longer hold back his laughter. "Hahaha! Arthur, I never thought you'd be this desperate—pretending to be Cloudia Corporation’s chairman?" He pointed toward the entrance at the man in the black suit—Stanley. "See him? That man is the personal steward of Cloudia Corporation’s chairman! He’s the only person in the world who knows who the chairman really is. Just wait, I’m going to make sure he knows exactly how shameless you are for impersonating him tonight!" With that, Zac turned and sprinted toward John. He was, after all, the only son of the Gray family now—the distinguished heir to the Grays! There was no way he was going to let someone else steal the spotlight from him. John, caught in the surge of people, shoved aside anyone blocking his path, his movements bordering on rough. More than a few people nearly lost their balance from his pushing. But when they turned to see who it was, they had no choice but to swallow their anger—after all, it was John. Soon, only Arthur, Ashley, and Natalie remained in their spot. Ashley stared blankly at Arthur. She still hadn’t fully processed what was happening. It wasn’t until Arthur waved a hand in front of her face that she finally snapped out of her daze. She blurted out dumbly, "Arthur… are you really—?" She couldn’t even bring herself to say it. The whole thing is just too unbelievable! Arthur chuckled and playfully flicked her smooth forehead. "What’s the matter? You don’t believe me?" Ashley instinctively rubbed her forehead where he had flicked her. It stung a little, and a faint flush appeared on her fair skin. "Of course, I believe you, but… this is just too unreal!" Natalie, however, remained much calmer than Ashley. She looked straight at Arthur and asked in a steady voice, "Arthur, tell me honestly—are you really the chairman of Cloudia Corporation?" Arthur had always been upfront with Natalie, so he nodded and answered simply, "Yes. Two years ago, I acquired Stanley’s company and officially renamed it Cloudia Corporation." Hearing his direct confirmation, the two sisters were at a loss for words. Their emotions were a whirlwind, but more than anything, they were ecstatic! Ashley was so overwhelmed that she didn’t know what to do with herself. Just moments ago, they had been worrying about how difficult it would be to even get close to Cloudia Corporation’s chairman at such a grand event, let alone negotiate further collaboration with him. And now, it turned out that the chairman was Arthur all along! What an unbelievable surprise! Meanwhile, over by the entrance, Zac had shamelessly elbowed his way to John’s side. John, gripping Zac’s arm, didn’t bother with pleasantries. He immediately turned to Stanley and greeted him enthusiastically, his voice loud and familiar. "Mr. Young! It’s been so long! I’ve missed our conversations! Tell me, when will your esteemed chairman be arriving?" For the past two years, Stanley had been by Arthur’s side, growing alongside the company. As Cloudia Corporation expanded, so did his presence, becoming more imposing by the day. Even just standing there, he carried a quiet authority that made people instinctively cautious around him. With a single glance at John, his brows knit slightly. John opened his mouth to speak, but before he could get a word out, Stanley abruptly waved his hand. Instantly, the bodyguards behind him stepped forward and, without hesitation, dragged John and Zac away! Once again restrained by security, John and Zac struggled frantically. Their voices were filled with disbelief as they shouted, "Mr. Young! What do you think you’re doing?" Stanley ignored them completely. He knew all too well everything John had done to Arthur over the years—every cruel act, every injustice. If anything, Stanley resented them even more than Arthur did. If this weren’t a civilized society, I’d beat them to death right here and now! Seeing what had happened to John and Zac, the other people in the crowd who had been trying to cozy up to Stanley finally took the hint. They quickly backed off, no longer daring to approach him. With the bodyguards clearing a path, Stanley walked forward with purpose, his strides steady and unwavering. It didn’t take long for the crowd to sense that something was off. Stanley, he wasn’t heading toward any of the high-status guests. He was walking straight toward Arthur. Zac, who had been watching closely, suddenly felt a surge of excitement. Could it be? Had Stanley already heard about Arthur’s impersonation on his way here? Is that why he is heading straight for him, to deal with him on the spot?
