Chapter 130 Zac’s Hidden Fear

Yoder gazed deeply at Zac and after a moment, he said, "This garment was not made by Mr. Ivan." At this revelation, the crowd erupted in shock. "Oh my! So it's not just Zac who's off in the Gray family, but Arthur, who's been disowned, is also suspicious!" "Does the apple not fall far from the tree? Both sons raised by the Gray family have issues?" "But just now, Mr. Yoder asserted that Arthur is a rare talent and destined for greatness!" "Could Mr. Yoder be mistaken about Zac?" "No way, how could Mr. Yoder be mistaken? Over the years, how many people has he helped without ever being wrong?" "But my child told me, at the South High graduation, Arthur firmly claimed this garment was designed by Mr. Ivan, and both Zac and Arthur even called Mr. Ivan right there!" "I heard that when Zac called, an old lady picked up? But when Arthur called, Ivan said he had no old lady around him?" "Zac claims that Arthur had arranged for someone to play this act deliberately, but who's really telling the truth?" "Yeah, Zac said Arthur had the person on the phone use AI to change their voice just to back him up at the graduation." "Each has their story, but I’m more inclined to believe Arthur." "But now Mr. Yoder is saying this garment wasn’t designed by Mr. Ivan? So does that mean Arthur lied?" "Then when Mr. Yoder said Zac is scheming and deceitful towards the Gray family, could Mr. Yoder be mistaken?" "That's unlikely. It’s Mr. Yoder, after all; he wouldn’t speak without caution, especially not in public." The crowd's chatter was loud, and both Zac and John breathed a sigh of relief when they heard Yoder's words. John gave Zac a complex look, his thoughts unreadable to anyone. In a corner hidden from the crowd, Zac couldn't help but smirk with satisfaction. As the crowd's discussions grew louder, Arthur approached from a distance. Seeing him, the crowd’s expressions varied, their eyes filled with different emotions, but all unconsciously made way for him. Walking hand in hand with Ashley through the path cleared by the crowd, the attention they drew felt almost as if they were walking down the aisle at a wedding. Not just Arthur felt this surreal sensation, but Ashley felt it even more profoundly. Though the looks from the crowd were varied, Ashley didn’t care; as long as she was with Arthur, nothing else mattered. Soon, Arthur reached where Yoder and the others were. Raelynn, Julie, and Rosie had complex looks when they saw Arthur, while Susie's look was one of schadenfreude. And John, he kept his head down, seemingly unable to face him. Arthur's gaze swept over everyone, finally resting on a smug-looking Zac. Zac felt the piercing intensity of Arthur's gaze, as if a sword cutting through all deceit aimed straight at him, causing him to startle and quickly avert his eyes from Arthur. How could this nobody have such an intense gaze? Arthur then turned to Yoder, unable to help but commend, “Mr. Yoder really has an eye for truth!” As he regarded Yoder, Yoder also looked back at him and couldn’t help but show a slight smile, “Thank you, Mr. Gray, for the compliment.” This interaction surprised the onlookers again. Yoder had smiled at him? It was the first smile Yoder had shown since he entered, and it was directed at Arthur? The crowd was puzzled. Arthur had just been caught in a lie, yet Yoder was still affable towards him? This was nothing like the tense confrontation everyone had expected. After exchanging greetings, Arthur raised his voice to address the crowd, “Everyone, please don’t rush to conclusions. I have something to show you all, and after you see it, then you can make your judgments.” Upon hearing this, Zac’s fists clenched suddenly. Not this line again! What could he possibly have to show now? Two years ago, at his birthday party, it all started with those same words and led to his defeat. This time, he had been cautious, tampering in a secluded room! Before acting, he had made sure there were no cameras in that room. What could he possibly have to show?A flicker of unease crept into Zac’s mind.
