My Best Friend’s Brother Was Never Supposed to Taste Me

Chapter 413

♡ Mia's pov ♡ "Oh shit Mia. I'm so sorry. Fuck." Kade freaked out, his eyes wide with clear panic. He looks at me like he had done the worst thing in his life. I didn't really know how to feel about that. "It's fine, I'll buy a plan b on our way home." I lift my hand to brush my fingers against his cheek. "It'll be okay Kade. It's not the end of the world." My mouth twisted out a smile that didn't quite reach my eyes. He notices and drops his forehead against my own. Shaking his head a little, eyes closed tightly and a long drawled sigh coming out of his mouth, Kade utters. "I'm so sorry Mia. I've never been so careless before." He admitted. Seeing how bad he felt by cumming inside me, had me lost. I really didn't know how to feel right now. Don't get me wrong, there was definitely a slight panic within me knowing that I could actually get pregnant this way. And of course I was not ready for that. I was still a teenager and he was too. We were definitely not ready for that. But I suppose I should also blame myself too for being careless. I knew we were sexually active, yet I hadn't bothered to go on the pill. It was both our fault. And we will fix it. We must've been here for longer than we thought because the sound of the bell ringing had us freezing. We were still in the bathroom, still in a very compromising position. But thankfully the stall served as a barrier to protect us from unwanted eyes and ears. I press my finger to Kade's mouth and told him to shush as the door to the bathroom bursts open and the sound of scurrying feet enters. "Pass me some of that lipgloss Sheryl." Brianna's voice floats around like an annoying screech in my ears. "So did you manage to score that hunk over the weekend?" I suppose it was Sheryl who asked the question. Brianna lets out a sound similar to someone sucking their teeth. "He didn't pick up my calls all weekend and completely ignored me yesterday and today." She stressed out on the word and. I wasn't dumb to not know she was talking about Kade. "Really? He seemed pretty into you before. I thought you two would be announcing your relationship to the entire school this week." Sheryl voiced out. Kade and I looked at each other silently communicating with our eyes. We were both so fed up with listening to their chattering. Unfortunately, there was nothing we could do but stay here in this position an listen on. "Yeah well, Kade had other plans. Honestly, I think it's his sister who's trying to create a wedge between us." Brianna grumbles. I stiffen knowing she was talking about me. "You do know that they're actually not related right? Maybe, she wants to create that wedge between you two because she wants something more. Maybe she wants Kade all to herself. Girls like her want guys like Kade." Sheryl hums. Brianna snorts. "Mia Cross scoring Kade? Yeah right. I mean she's pretty and all, but guys like Kade don't go for the innocent pretty girls. They go for bad bitches that can ride their world. Besides Mia hasn't even kissed anyone yet, she's a prude. I don't think she'll ever summon the courage to even look at a guy." I felt anger run through my veins and realized I had been gritting my teeth when my jaw starts to hurt. But I'm not the only one who is angry, no, Kade is practically seething. Even his fingers bit into the skin of my bum as though he was holding onto it for dear life to hold him back from doing something bad. "My brother has been trying his luck with her but like I said she's a prude. And besides, my brother can do way better. I don't see what he sees in her, she's boring." Brianna continues to insult me. Kade's jaw ticked, his blue eyes darkening into fury. I could very well picture the steam coming out of his ears. I shook my head knowing he was on the verge of blowing our cover. "Seriously I've been trying to get close to her so that way I'll get close to Kade too. But she's annoying and boring. And don't get me started on her friend. Such a damn gay. I had to sit by these freaks because of Kade and my brother." She spat. My body shook in anger. How dare she try to insult Colby's sexuality? I've always known Brianna to be outspoken but never had I thought she'd be a nasty two-faced bitch. I wanted to yell at her. Insult her the same way she insulted me and Colby. But I bit my tongue and held my words, not wanting anyone to catch Kade and I like this. Frustrated that I couldn't speak my mind made me want to just, scream. The door opens again and I hear voices that didn't belong to Brianna or Sheryl. Others have joined them, and thankfully for her sake, Brianna had stopped talking about Kade and me. But unfortunately, Kade and I had no clue as to how long we'd have to stay in here and hide. - "Hey Mia." I turned around, my hand still pushing the book into my locker. My gaze falls on eyes that belong to Brian. Brianna's words from earlier fluttered back into my head and all I wanted to do was slam his head into the locker even though he wasn't his sister despite how they looked alike so much. "Hey," I offered instead, moving my gaze away from his to look inside my locker like it was the most fascinating thing I had ever seen in my life. "I wanted to know if you're free this Saturday? I mean- "Hey man, there you are. I've been looking everywhere for you. I need to show you something, it can't wait." Kade interrupted a bit too hostile to sound any bit friendly. But Brian didn't seem to catch the tone. The sound of his voice had caught my attention quickly and I turn just in time to see him sling an arm over Brian's shoulder and pull him away from me. Brian looks like he was on the verge to protest but stops. Kade turns around to face me before they disappear, a sly grin on his handsome face. My heart leaps and my lower lip gets trapped between my teeth as butterflies swarm inside my belly. "You've been glowing lately. " Colby says behind me. Not expecting to hear his voice so close, I jolt in startlement. I turn around quickly, my hand on my heart. "Shit Colb you almost gave me a heart attack. " But Colby's eyes are not on my face, they're on my neck. "There has been a lot of mosquitoes in this damn school lately. Don't you think?"His eye travel up to mine, his lips splitting into a knowing smile. Turning away from him and fixing my hair to make sure the hickies Kade had given me were not visible, I cleared my throat. "Yeah there are a lot of these damn things around. I think one bit me."
