My Best Friend’s Brother Was Never Supposed to Taste Me
♡Mia's pov ♡ Colby does a double-take when he spots Kade in the front seat of my car. He sends me a what the fuck look and with an unsure and weary stare he struts over to the car. Kade is quick to move his hand off my thigh. "Did I miss something today? This is weird." He grumbles, brows pinching as he enters the back. I look at him through the rearview mirror. "How is it weird?" I asked, clenching my thighs together because Kade had seconds ago tried to build up tension, which he successfully achieved. Now I was trying to control my pants and trying my hardest to stop the tingling of my clit. I knew he noticed, I could feel his stare on my face and just knew he was smirking cockily. Colby sends me a what the fuck look and huffs. "Kade usually rides with Brian nowadays and if he does ride with us, he's usually at the back. Am I in a new world or something?" I rolled my eyes, biting off a smile. Colby was always one to watch everything with a keen eye and would be the first to spot anything amiss. I only hope he'd not put two and two together too quickly before Kade and I have the chance to tell everyone. " Now you're just being dramatic. " I laughed, starting up the car. "Am I? Am I really?" Colby huffed. From my peripheral vision, I can see Kade twisting his body in a way to face Colby. " Have a problem with this little arrangement Colby?" Kade's voice was rough but I knew he was only trying to tease Colby since he knew Colby was a tad bit scared of him. Okay, he was a lot scared of him. My eyes snap to the rearview mirror quickly to see the blood drain from Colby's face as he shook his head. "Nope. I'm fine with it really! I love to see that you two are getting along better." He admits and flashes me a look before tearing his eyes away. Something about his look alarmed me a little. It was as though he knew something. Something we didn't want him to know as yet. __ "Think he knew?" I voiced out as I take a quick peek at Kade. I make a u-turn going down the road leading to Austin's school.Kade turns to me and shrugs. "There's a possibility he does. Should we be worried about him saying anything is the better question." Kade, Austin, and I were on our way to Austin's soccer practice. We already changed out of our school uniforms long ago and had just been waiting for the time to tick by so we can be on our way. Today at school, Colby had been looking at me strangely and had set alarms in my head by the quick flash of knowing that gleamed in his eyes when his eyes met mine then Kade's. Not wanting to just go up to him and ask him what he knew, I blamed his knowing look on probably anything other than Kade and I. There was no possible way he'd know what was going on. It has just been two days for crying out loud! Were we that bad at keeping things hidden? Chewing my lip, I move my eyes away from him and focus forward. " I don't think we should be worried. If he knows, Colby can be trusted. He won't say a word." I nodded mostly to myself. Colby and I had been friends for years. And we were certainly close enough to consider ourselves siblings. He wouldn't do anything to hurt me intentionally and nor would I. Our bond was as strong as those of blood. Chances are if he really knew what was going on between Kade and me, he wouldn't tell a soul. Instead, he'd wait for me to tell him myself, something I wasn't sure I'd say anytime soon. Kade and I had just officially started dating, I didn't want this to be too fast for him. I can't risk putting cracks in our relationship, not when we just got together. From my peripheral vision, Kade nods. "Hey bud, you okay back there?" He turns around to look at Austin who had been fighting to put a sock on for the last two minutes. "Yeah, Kade. Mom always sucks at doing laundry, the socks must've shrunk." He grumbles, letting out a low moan, I assume because he was still struggling to put on the socks. Kade laughs while I spare a glance at Austin through the rearview mirror. " I'm telling mom." I threatened. It was only right I would, especially since he always manages to tattle on me. Austin's eyes lift to mine and he rolls his eyes. "Whatever tattletale." - "Gabriel!" Austin yells, pushing his bag with his extra clothes into my hand. I struggle to catch it before it topples on the grass and mud.Austin dashes toward Gabriel and leaves Kade and I behind. I groan rolling my eyes. "Is he always like this?" Kade asked amused as his eyes watch Austin fist bump Gabriel. Austin and Gabriel had never truly been friends, it was only recently that Gabriel finally allowed him into his circle. I didn't like the kid because his ego was certainly huge but Austin had always wanted to be his friend. I didn't want to dampen his mood and tell him he could find a better friend than Gabriel. "Well not before they were friends. Before he'd run up to the kid, try to talk to him only to get his back. Gabriel's a brat but Austin has always wanted to be his friend, so." I shrugged. Kade hums, getting closer by the second until his scent envelopes around me. I breathe it in, making sure to do it smartly so I'd not humiliate myself. "I already don't like him," Kade grumbles as we stride towards Austin and Gabriel. Kade's arms brushes against mine purposely and I held my breath. He was always finding ways to tease me and get me all worked up, even during school when we were supposed to play it cool. It didn't help that he had completely ignored Brianna and focused his gaze on me only. And as for Brian, Kade had been glaring at him the entire time at lunch. Why? Well because Brian had been trying to flirt with me the entire time. Not that I had anything against Brian and Brianna, but they showed up at the wrong time. "Where's his brother?" Kade grumbles like a child who lost his candy. I take a quick peek at him from the corner of my eye. "Who? Gavin?" I can't help it when a small smile played on my lips. He was definitely jealous. And it was rather cute and a huge turn on. I made a mental note to show him that I only wanted him later on when everyone had gone to bed. Kade nods, his jaw clenching. I winced inwardly, for how harshly he clenched his teeth surely any harder and he'd manage to break them. I looked around, spotting Gavin beside his mother. When he notices me, he runs over, a bright beaming smile on his face. Gavin was the exact opposite of his brother. Where his brother was rude most times, Gavin was polite. Where Gabriel would sneer at you, Gavin would smile. For twins, they were completely opposite. I smiled back. "Here he is." I nudged my head to Gavin who slowed down, blushing furiously when I sent him a smile. Kade's eyes narrowed. "The kid who looks exactly like the kid Austin's talking to?" I nodded, biting the inside of my cheek to stifle my laughter. "Yep." Kade cleared his throat, his fist pressing to his mouth for a little before he drops it. "He's seven?" He asked in disbelief, obviously expecting someone who would be his height and undoubtedly be able to stand a chance against him for my heart. Not that there would be anyone alive who could ever hold my heart, not when it belongs to Kade entirely. I giggled, looking at his quickly flustered face. "You only came here to ward off guys away from me, didn't you? You were jealous of Gavin?" I snorted. Kade's face flamed with red as he turns his head away from me completely, but I had already seen the embarrassed blush. "I was not." He denied. He totally was.
