My Best Friend’s Brother Was Never Supposed to Taste Me
♡ Mia's pov ♡ "Austin hurry up! It's been more than eight minutes, I need to pee!" I yelled while banging on the bathroom door. Looking down at my pink shorts I yelled. "Desperately!" I groan when he doesn't open up. Dropping my forehead on the door I whined. "Come on Austin, my bladder is about to explode! Do you want piss all over the floor?" The door finally opens which surprised me since I had not expected it to open so quickly. I stumble forward, my forehead colliding on a hard muscular chest and my brows clench in confusion. Did Austin grow overnight? Peeling myself away from the hard chest, my eyes snake up to a bare broad chest to impossibly blue eyes that nearly made me piss myself. Kade. Why did I not think it was him in there? "I'm surprised you didn't pick the lock this time Nia." Smirking at seeing my face falter in embarrassment he sidesteps me. "The bathroom is all yours. Try to not miss the toilet." He shout over his shoulder as he made his way to his room. "Name is Mia!" I yelled, rolling my eyes as I entered the bathroom and locked the door. A few seconds later the door pounds. "Mia hurry up! I need to use the bathroom!" Austin yelled. Mom and dad should've bought a house where every room had a bathroom. I couldn't live like this anymore. Que in the crocodile tears. _________ "You missed the toilet." I snapped as I brushed Kade to compete with his long strides. What a hypocrite when he, I'm sure intentionally peed on the toilet seat. Boys are nasty creatures. They need their own habitat. Kade doesn't respond only snorts at the back of me. I refuse to make him know he irked me. So rolling my eyes I made a beeline for the kitchen. Mom was whipping up some blueberry pancakes and bacon, the scent was that pungent in the air. "Smells good." I moaned when I entered and spotted her flipping the pancake on the stove. "I'm the one cooking it yet I'm starving and impatient to dig in." She chuckles and turns around. Her eyes land on someone behind me and her face beams with a smile. "Good morning Kade." Kade only grunts in response. I huffed while fixing myself on the stool. "How does he get a greeting but I don't get any?" Turning to me with a smile, mom giggles. "And good morning to you baby." Kade fixes himself on two stools down, clearly putting that distance between us. Mom looks at Kade and smiles. "Did you sleep well? Was the dinner good last night? I didn't notice the plate in the sink...." She drawled, seeming to want to get Kade talking. But Kade only grunts out a dried yes and doesn't bother talking again. Rolling my eyes at his attitude I looked at mom. "Mom can we move? Seriously sharing one bathroom with boys aren't really my cup of tea." Tearing her gaze from Kade, mom looks confused. "You hate tea Mia." Thanks mom for pointing it out, gladly appreciate it. Was that seriously all she got from my short and unimpressive speech? "I gave birth to you in this very house. The house your dad and I lives changed for the better. We stored a lot of our best memories here Mia. We can't possibly leave it. Doesn't the bathroom have a lock?" I nodded reluctantly. "Then what's the problem?" She asked confused. The problem was the brooding boy sitting on one of the stools. He was the fricking problem, at least mine. How can I share the bathroom with him? I leave my wet underwear there to dry sometimes. "Nothing. Nothing's the problem." I forced the words out of my clenched teeth. Sharing the bathroom with Austin was already a nightmare, now with Kade? Just dig a hole with a shovel and throw me in there. Sighing she goes back to her task, which was making sure the pancakes and bacon didn't burn. " So you two need to get ready for ten." Mom suddenly mumbles, flipping one of the pancakes I pictured myself digging into. "What for?" My mouth watered and in all honesty, I didn't know if it was for those pancakes or the boy who had his deep gaze set on the side of my face. Why was he staring? Did I have something on my cheek? I lift a finger to swipe down my cheek. I didn't feel anything. "We're going shopping for Kade's uniform silly." She giggles, flipping another pancake. Can't those magically land on a plate in front of me? With extra maple syrup? Furrowing my brows, I contemplated if to pretend I was sick as her words registered in my head. I wanted to binge watch Riverdale today. I mean I technically only have two days until the first day of senior year. Why can't I enjoy this before I have to walk into my death? "Why do I have to come with?" I whined, my belly growling. "Because your skirt is a little too short and we need to get you a new one," Mom sang and I pushed my elbows on the counter and pressed my palms to my flaming cheeks as I could feel Kade's gaze literally burn through me. "Mom it isn't that short," I whined yet peeked over at Kade only to snap my eyes back to mom. His eyes were piercing. "If you bend over just a little, I'd be able to see your butt Mia." Mom pointed out. She was probably right. "Pancakes!" Austin yell nearly had my elbows slipping off the counter. He fixes himself on a stool between Kade an I. Good, he'd block my view of Kade. "Mia pooped and didn't flush," Austin said while looking at mom. It was his usual to irritate me with nonsense I hadn't done. But did he really have to do it now, whilst Kade was here? I could hear his low snicker which made me grit my teeth. I'm going to kill Austin. Slowly. And flush him down the toilet. He might clog it up, but maybe that will finally have us move and get a house where there are more than two bathrooms. "You're lying," I hissed pushing his face away. He turns to me and his eyes danced with mischief. How can a seven year old be this evil? " No I'm not," He protested. Mom sighs as she flips another pancake. "Austin I've told you many times before, lying isn't a good thing," I poked my tongue out at the little twit who mocked me. Behind him, I saw a quick flash of amusement swirl in Kade's eyes. Looks like he can show emotion after all.
