My Best Friend’s Brother Was Never Supposed to Taste Me
*Graduation day* "Haiden Cross!" Mr. Boyd yelled over the mic. Haiden turns around to peek at me and sends me a wink before standing up. I bit into my bottom lip from stopping the giddy smile from emerging on my face. "You're one lucky bitch Arabella," Meredith giggled playfully. This time I couldn't help the smile from stretching out on my face. "That I know," I whispered while never leaving my gaze off my man as he gets his diploma. The crowd cheered and I pushed my fingers into my mouth to whistle. Haiden turns to me and grins happily. I mouth out, 'You did it.' "Can I have him?" Samantha begged from behind me. I rolled my eyes laughing. "You may certainly not." "Bummer." She giggled. I know she was upset that Gwen wasn't graduating with us today. She left a few weeks back and no one knew where she run off to. I had an inkling it was with some guy but I didn't think my thoughts would be appreciated. I tried not to care about her whereabouts but deep down I only hoped that she was safe. _ "There's my baby!" Mother screeched, running towards me and pulling me into a hug. "I'm so proud of you," She whispers pulling away and looking behind me. "Both of you," Warm arms enveloped me from behind and his scent evaded my nose. "Missed me?" Haiden whispers in my ear, squeezing the air out of my lungs. "I saw you mere seconds ago." I pointed out, giggling when he turned me around to plant a kiss on my lips softly. Pulling away from me, he walks into mother's arms. "Thanks for showing up for the both of us Margie." Haiden murmurs, hugging her smaller body. Haiden's mom couldn't make it, something about having a bad hair day. Paul showed up though, but it was quite obvious it was only for his biological son Christian. I hadn't talked to Christian, not since the day he and Haiden fought. I mean he did look at me with pity like everyone did when they found out I had an insane father. But that was about it."You better take care of her. You better take good care of my little girl Haiden. Promise me?" Mother bawled out when Haiden pulls away. "You know I'll take good care of her. Always." He sends me a wink that I rolled my eyes to. Haiden and I will be leaving for college in a few weeks. Surprisingly we got into the same college and we were totally looking forward to spending time together. If you're wondering how Haiden got the tuition for college, mother thought she'd pay it off. Saying something along the lines of, 'I shouldn't have judged you so soon without knowing how amazing you truly are. You deserve to have a future.' Haiden though, promised to pay her back every penny when he lands a good job. "Okay family moment but can I take a photo of you guys?" Meredith asked. We turn to her and she shakes the cannon camera. Meredith had suddenly taken a liking to photography and had been snapping so many photos of everyone and everything lately that everyone was starting to complain. "Sure. " Mother chirps and we all fix ourselves for the picture. Haiden throws his arms around both mother and I's shoulders and pulls me impossibly close to him. "Say cheese!" Meredith squeals. "Butterscotch!" I giggled. "Cheesesticks!" Mother laughed. "Okay it looks like I'm the only sane person here," Haiden jokes, and seconds later we hear the click of Meredith's camera. ____ * Two years later* "My roommate is sleeping right there Haiden." I giggled as Haiden's body slither on top of me. He fits himself between my parted thighs and looks down at me with a mischievous grin. "Well you better be quiet. " With a smirk, he dove into my wet folds and pushed so deep that I could feel him in my stomach. I moaned and Haiden's palm pushes on my mouth. Chuckling in amusement he murmurs. "Too loud baby." Pulling out of me slowly only to thrust back in so roughly that even his hand over my mouth couldn't stop my loud scream. His eyes widen and he quickly looks over at Logan who had been my dorm roommate for two years now. We never got along, but doesn't every roommate?I mean you'd get tired of hearing moans in the night when you're trying to sleep. Can't say she didn't have a right to be annoyed seeing that Haiden mostly spent the night here. There's so many moaning sounds one can take. "Shhh baby, you'll have her call the dorm police on our ass again." He joked but still continued to thrust into me. _ * Three years later * Fucking fantastic. To get knocked up on your last year of college? I looked at the two very prominent red lines. Were we ready for this? This was a huge step. Will Haiden be happy to hear the news? So many questions raced through my mind as I chewed on my lip. I looked down at my tummy with furrowed brows. Is the test right? Because my tummy looked very flat. I palm my stomach and pictured a baby growing in there. Suddenly an image of a baby girl who had features of both Haiden and I fluttered in my mind. I smiled. I don't care that we weren't planning on getting pregnant so soon. I would love that baby unconditionally. And something told me Haiden would too. "Baby!" Haiden burst through the door. His sudden presence had the pregnancy test slipping out of my fingers and falling to the floor. "You said you weren't feeling well?" He rushes towards me, pulling me into his arms as the back of his hand presses onto my forehead. He looks down at me in worry. "You don't feel like you're burning up. What are you feeling baby?" My heart thuds. This was it. I have to tell him. Pulling away from him, I nervously move my eyes off him. "What's wrong Bella?" His voice has now gone into a panic tone. "Look down," I whispered, turning to face him. He came in such a rush that he hadn't noticed that there was a pregnancy test literally between us. Haiden's brows line in confusion as he looks down. His eyes widen when they land on the test as he whispers. "Is this what I think it is?" He bends down to pick up the test. Straightening and looking back at me, his eyes filled with tears. I nodded, smiling shyly to answer his question. "Fuck." He croaked out. "I'm going to be a dad. Wait......... I'm going to be a dad?"He starts pacing the entire room. "Shit we need to get diapers, wipes, those breast pumpy things, some milk- "Haiden," I called out. He stops, turning to me. "We don't need those things right now you dummy." I giggled and he cracks an embarrassed grin. "Did I ever mention how much I fucking love you woman?" He walks over to me. "Every day," I whispered, my eyes filling up with tears of my own. At least now I can blame it on pregnancy hormones. "Then do you mind hearing it for the rest of your life?" He whispers and I gasped when he gets down on one knee. "Haiden- I whispered, not believing that this was happening right now. We only moved into our own apartment a few blocks down from the campus. We've been saving for this place for so long that I didn't think we'd be ready for those other big moves as yet. But now being faced with them, I couldn't help but feel lucky and happy. Haiden digs into the back pocket of his jeans and pulls out a small black box. "I've been carrying this box with me for more than two weeks now, trying to find a way to ask you for your hand. But I couldn't find a perfect moment. But right now, I couldn't think of anything more perfect than this moment right now. Make me the luckiest man by being my wife Bella?" Haiden opens the box and a diamond ring gleams. I don't even ponder on the question. There was nothing to think about. Haiden was my future. "Took you long enough," I joked, pushing my hand forward. "I've been saving for this ring since freshman year in college." He admitted as he slips the ring on my finger. Rising to his feet Haiden lifts me into his arms. "Ready to be Mrs. Cross?" He asked, pecking my lips repeatedly. "Been wanting to get rid of my surname for years now." I joked. "It's a girl by the way," I murmured on his lips. "You're going to be disappointed when he comes out. Because I swear I shoot only- "Don't be gross right now." I laughed, getting his sexual innuendo.
