My Best Friend’s Brother Was Never Supposed to Taste Me
Arabella Rivera "We need to talk Bella." Haiden grunts and walks over to me and a puking Gwen. "Not now Haiden. As you can see I'm a little busy here." I nudged my head to Gwen who looked ready to pass out at any second. His eyes leave mine and pin themselves on a dry heaving Gwen. "What's wrong with her?" His voice is laced with boredom which made me know that he didn't care at all about what was happening to Gwen. "She drank too much alcohol and probably ate too many weed brownies." I leaned forward so I can grit out the words loud enough for Gwen to hear. She grunts and uses her hand to push my face away. "Whate- Haiden makes a disgusted face when Gwen throws up, again. I sighed and rubbed her back. "We should really get you home before Samantha's backyard turns into a vomit pool." "I could drive you? I didn't drink tonight so I promise I won't drive into a tree on the way." Haiden suggested. My stomach flips when his eyes roam my figure, reminding me of what we had done in the bathroom minutes ago. I bit my bottom lip, tearing my eyes away from him. "I don't think that's a good idea......" I drawled. Gwen hated Haiden and even though she was drunk and couldn't hold her own weight, I was terrified she'd read into Haiden and me too much. It was bad enough that he followed me here. Am I a bad person for praying that she was drunk enough to not remember any of this? "Then how will you get home Bella?" Haiden's voice edged with concern. "I'm not going home, I'm going to Gwen's tonight," I whispered knowing he wasn't a huge fan of Gwen. It's quiet for a few seconds with only the sound of Gwen vomiting on the grass. Then he answers tightly. "Okay, then how will you get to Gwen's?" I turn to him, noticing that he looked worried, for me. " We'll catch a ride I guess?" I shrugged, trying to act nonchalant but I knew I was failing. Haiden's face sketched into an irritated one as he pinned me under his gaze. "With who?" His tone curled with anger as the words rolled off his tongue.I chewed my lips. Everyone at the party was drunk and I wasn't really on talking terms with anyone in there other than Samantha. But Samantha can't drive to save her life and the option wasn't exactly available seeing that she was equally drunk and high like everyone else. "Because I'm not leaving you here alone. And getting a ride with someone else is not an option." Haiden said while pinning me under his heavy gaze. He takes a step forward, careful to not step on any mess on the grass. "So the only option available is, me." A smirk crawled on his lips. "Would you two shut the fuck up?" Gwen groans, moving away from my hold and takes a few steps back before toppling on her ass. She grunts. " I just need a moment of silence." After the words are let out, Gwen lies on her back and soon falls asleep. Great. Just fucking fantastic. "She's definitely a mess when she's drunk. Scratch that, she's always a mess." Haiden snorts. I finally could take a peek at him properly without feeling anxious that Gwen would notice. The pants I gave him were what someone would wear to a meeting. He looked like he had just come from filing his taxes. I press my lips together but can't hold it in any longer and giggle. Haiden looks down at the pants and rolled his eyes. "It takes me looking like a complete ass to have you smiling tonight." "I guess I can't be mad about it, like I said before. Smiling suits you." He lifts his head and his eyes fall into my own. " And if it takes me to look like a complete moron, then so be it." I bit my lip, fighting the urge to smile shyly. "But you always look like a complete idiot." Haiden rolls his eyes, lips quirking up into a small grin. " Good, then I'll be your idiot." The smile that played on my lips vanishes as I get the hint behind his words. I rip my eyes away from him as my heart rate spikes up. Haiden clears his throat, seeming to notice the awkward tension. "We should probably get her inside the truck." I nodded looking at a snoring Gwen. Honestly, I should have never come here tonight no matter how much dirt she had on me. I turn to him, avoiding looking at his face while murmuring. "Will you pick her up please- "I know Bella, it's not like you can carry her." He chuckles walking towards me. I stiffen when he's beside me, his arm brushing against my shoulder. Goosebumps rage on my skin and it had nothing to do with the sudden chill of the air. My stomach flips when his hand grips the nape of my neck and guided me to look up at him. "What are you doi-" Haiden swallows my words by pushing his lips onto mine and thrust his tongue into my mouth. Our tongues clash and the taste of him nearly makes me cum. He still tastes like me. I moan as he nibbles on my lips before pulling away. Both of our breathing is erratic and unstable as he lowers his forehead on my own while his thumb rubs circles on my cheeks. His touch warms my cheeks and I find myself leaning more into his touch. "Sasha and I weren't doing anything when you walked in Bella. I was pushing her away-" "I know," I whispered while trying to get my breathing under control. He grips my jaw softly as he whispers. "Those girls before, they meant nothing. Not like you do." His words had my heart pounding. I drew in some air as he branded me with his words. My stomach does that flip when I'm anxious and shivers snake down my spine. I let out a shaky sigh as I opened my mouth to speak. "Conner, don't let your mom see my thongs under your bed." Gwen groans cutting me off before I even started. Both Haiden and I snap our heads down on her sleeping figure. She snores loudly. I almost forgot she was here. Sighing in annoyance, Haiden steps away from me and walks over to Gwen. He picks her up and grunts in disgust when she curls herself into his arms and wipes her mouth on his shirt. I cringe, embarrassed by my best friend's actions. "She's not always like this..." I drawled out as I followed him. "Not like what, self-centered and craves attention?" He mumbles sarcastically. Something told me that Haiden would rather dump Gwen in a dumpster than have her in his truck. "The things I do for you, Bella." He murmurs lowly.
