The Despised Luna's Comeback
Samuel's POV: I kicked the door open with a single, forceful blow. "What the hell are you—" Kelsey's words were cut off abruptly as my foot smashed into his face. The room went silent. "Asshole!" Kelsey hit the ground hard, and I barely registered him before my eyes locked onto Naomi. She was sprawled on the bed, her wrists and ankles bound with tight ropes. Her body was nearly exposed, her torn clothes hanging in ragged strips. Pale skin, almost ghostly in the dim light, was now vulnerable to the air. Her tangled hair fell messily over her face, and her eyes were squeezed shut, tears streaking down her cheeks in silent rivers. She whimpered—soft, desperate, broken. It felt like a knife twisting in my chest. My heart broke. I shed my jacket in an instant and draped it over her trembling form. "Naomi ... " I whispered, trembling as I carefully worked the ropes free from her wrists, trying to cover her with my coat. But the moment I touched her, Naomi's body jerked in panic. Her hands lashed out wildly. "Get away! Don't touch me! Don't touch me!" "Naomi! It's me, Samuel. Don't be scared. It's over. It's all over." I grasped her flailing hands, my voice thick with sorrow, trying to calm her. Her tear soaked eyes fluttered open. As soon as she saw me, her arms wrapped tightly around my neck. She buried her face in my chest, sobbing loudly, her body shaking with each sob. "It's okay. It's over. It's okay." I whispered, my fingers gently combing through her disheveled hair, pulling her closer, wrapping her tightly in my jacket. Naomi's expression remained vacant, her head drooping. She said nothing, only holding on to me as though I were her lifeline. The sight of her—broken, bruised, lost—almost crushed me. I couldn't stop the guilt, the weight of it threatening to pull me under. "I'm sorry. It's all my fault. I shouldn't have taken you for late-night snacks. I shouldn't have let you fall into the water... I'm sorry ... " The thought of what could've happened if I had arrived any later struck me like a physical blow. I turned, fury rising inside me. As for Kelsey, he was lying on the floor, crumpled and useless. This scum would not escape my wrath. Naomi shook her head faintly, gripping the jacket as she tried to sit up. She winced, her knees and ankles scratched and bruised from her fall. I leaned down, my voice low. "Sorry." She looked at me, confusion clouding her face. Then I gently lifted her into my arms. She instinctively squirmed, trying to pull away, but I spoke softly, soothing her until her body relaxed. She finally curled into me, her face tucked into the safety of my chest. "Mr. Foster, I'll take Naomi now. Thank you for everything." Rosaline, standing beside Caden, approached with a soft voice, her eyes meeting mine with a sense of finality. Rosaline's POV: Samuel nodded his thanks, then gently lifted Naomi, cradling her in his arms as he made his way to the car. Outside, the few werewolf thugs who had been guarding the door were sprawled on the ground, bloodied and battered. They were groaning, their limbs twisted in unnatural positions. Caden's bodyguard wolves had swiftly brought them under control. The manager waiting nearby saw Naomi, and his eyes immediately softened, red creeping into the edges of his gaze. His face contorted with sorrow as he looked at her. I glanced at Samuel, my heart heavy. I reached out, brushing Naomi's disheveled hair from her face. "It's okay now." Naomi met my gaze, her lips parted. She seemed to want to speak but couldn't find the words. "Don't worry. That bastard won't get away with this," I said softly, trying to reassure her. I motioned for the agent to take Naomi and tend to her wounds. Turning back toward the villa, I saw Kelsey and his pack of wolves still receiving their punishment. Caden's wolves were relentless, fists pounding and claws slashing. The thugs were curled up, groaning; their bodies battered, their spirit broken. My expression remained unreadable, but inside, a storm was raging. A few punches wouldn't even come close to satisfying the rage burning through me. My gaze dropped, and my eyes fixed on Kelsey's legs. "What the hell do you think you're doing?" Kelsey's voice rose in panic, his eyes wide as he realized where I was looking. "Make it clean," I muttered, dismissing him with a flick of my wrist. I turned to the wolf bodyguard nearby. The bodyguard nodded, understanding my command without a word. Two wolves seized Kelsey, forcing him to the ground. I walked out of the villa, Kelsey's desperate broken screams echoed in my ears. "I won't let you get away with this! Ah! My ... !" I shot him a look of pure disdain, my lip curling in disgust. If he wanted revenge, he could try getting it. Caden, standing beside me, shot a glance at the villa, his face twisted with contempt. I turned my focus back to Naomi as I checked on her for more injuries. The news were better than I feared—just some superficial cuts and bruises. I exhaled in relief, a breath I hadn't realized I was holding. I have to make sure she had time to rest and recover after this. By the time Caden and I returned home, the night had settled into its deepest hours. "Kelsey's a bastard. I should've never let him off so easy last time," I grumbled, my mind racing as I replayed everything that had happened. The anger inside me only grew. I should've locked Kelsey up for a few years in prison. If I had, none of this would've ever happened. But something still gnawed at me, something I couldn't shake. How had Kelsey managed to take Naomi so easily? He didn't fit the profile of a smart rich kid. There had to be someone else. Someone pulling the strings behind him.
