The Despised Luna's Comeback

Chapter 588 Why Should I Be Jealous?

Yura's POV: Looking at those intimate photos of Kristy and Ryan on Twitter, I couldn't help but feel a twinge of discomfort in my heart. Kristy's hand was tightly wrapped around Ryan, and her glowing smile deeply stung my eyes. Zera had also seen the news, and her face lit up with a grin. "Kristy really knows how to work the camera. Just look at their first promotional photo shoot—it's already making such an impact." I gave her a fleeting glance while she continued her praise. "Kristy is young and beautiful; she has a great future ahead of her in the entertainment industry. Maybe she could even help Ryan out." I felt a pang in my heart as I lowered my head and sat to the side, not saying a word. "Mrs. Lindsay, I'm feeling a little unwell, so I'm going to rest upstairs." I came up with an excuse to retreat upstairs. Back in my room, I dialed Rosaline's number. "Rosie, Ryan's filming an MV with Kristy, and so many people on Twitter are saying they look perfect together." Rosaline spoke up. "I saw it too, but I think Ryan hasn't done anything inappropriate. It's that girl who's being overly intimate." I sighed with relief at her words. Of course, Rosaline was still as sharp as ever; she could see right through Kristy's intentions. "Kristy and Ryan grew up together, and Ryan's mom really likes her. The other day, Kristy came to our house to deliver a gift, and I think she might like Ryan," I slowly shared my analysis. Rosaline comforted me. "Yura, you're pregnant, so you don't need to worry about these things. Ryan's been good to you, and you two have gone through so much together. I don't think he would betray you." Thinking back on how Ryan had treated me, I felt reassured. "But what about Kristy ...?" "Yura, stop overthinking. Think about this: Ryan has met so many female celebrities in the industry over the years, many of whom are more beautiful than Kristy. Yet, he hasn't been moved by them." Rosaline reassured me. "Right now, what you need to focus on is taking care of yourself and the baby." Upon hearing Rosaline's comforting words, I nodded slightly. "I understand. I should trust Ryan and not doubt him." We chatted a bit more before hanging up.Ryan's POV: In the evening, I came home from the company, and as soon as I walked in, I heard my mom's voice. "Ryan, I saw your promotional photo with Kristy today. It looks really good. With your charm and her beauty, you two look perfect together," Mom complimented me, smiling. "Kristy looks even more dashing on camera." I casually replied, "It's all right. How did Kristy end up in the entertainment industry?" "She saw you working in the industry and wanted to join, too," Mom said with a chuckle. I frowned at her words, but I didn't say anything else. Upon noticing Yura wasn't in the living room, I asked, "Mom, where's Yura?" "She wasn't feeling well, so she went upstairs," Mom said with a frown. "She's just upset because of the photos of you and Kristy. She's being too sensitive." When I heard that Yura was jealous, my heart secretly rejoiced. She was jealous, which meant she still cared about me. "Then I'll go check on her," I said, heading upstairs. Yura's POV: In my room, I lay on the bed, staring at the photos of Kristy and Ryan. Their smiles felt like needles stabbing straight into my heart. The sound of footsteps outside the door reminded me that Ryan had returned. I quickly tossed my phone aside and pretended to be asleep. As soon as Ryan pushed the door open, I feigned waking up and asked, "You're back?" "Yeah. Mom said you weren't feeling well," Ryan said softly. I gave a light hum and asked quietly, "How was your day at the company?" "Fine. I filmed the promotional video with Kristy," Ryan replied casually. I tugged at the blanket and asked softly, "There are so many artists available. Why did it have to be the two of you doing the shoot?" Ryan chuckled softly and, with the blanket between us, pulled me into his arms. "What are you doing?" I asked, confused.Ryan buried his head in my neck. "It was arranged by the company, but don't worry, I only think of her as a colleague and an old neighbor." "Really?" I wasn't entirely convinced. At that moment, all I could think about was the photos of Ryan and Kristy. I couldn't shake the image from my mind. "Of course. By the way, Mom said you didn't eat much today," Ryan said while looking down at me, concern written all over his face. I sat up and shook my head. "I just don't have an appetite." "That won't do." Ryan stood up. "I'll have the kitchen staff make something you like. Wait for me." Without waiting for me to respond, Ryan stepped out of the room. As I watched Ryan's figure fade into the distance, my mind wandered for a moment. Maybe Rosaline was right. I was being too sensitive. Ryan and Kristy were just colleagues, and he was devoted to me. Why should I be jealous?
