The Despised Luna's Comeback
Ryan's POV: "Yura, how are you feeling today?" I asked with concern, sitting beside Yura. After what happened last time, although the baby was saved, she'd still been lying in the hospital for nearly half a month. It was only after the werewolf doctor ran a full series of tests and confirmed that both mother and child were safe that I brought her home. This time, even my mom didn't dare say much. She hurriedly brought Yura back to the Storm Pack villa, terrified something else might go wrong. Hearing my question, Yura smiled and shook her head. "I'm fine. Didn't the doctor already say I'm okay? Besides, I've been staying at your place these past few days. What could possibly happen? You don't need to worry about me." That's what she said, but just thinking about what happened at the hospital still left me shaken. I'd worked so hard to win her over—I couldn't bear the thought of losing her. "Now that I'm the baby's father, and you finally said yes to my proposal, as the heir apparent of the Storm Pack, of course I have to protect you both and make sure nothing happens to either of you." "Alright, alright, you two can talk later. Here, Yura, drink this soup first." My mom came over and placed a freshly stewed bowl of soup on the table. Yura smiled softly and nodded. While she was sipping the soup, the doorbell rang. A servant went to answer it, and in walked Rosaline carrying a big load of health supplements. She smiled at Yura and said, "I came to see you! How have you been feeling lately?" I quickly went over to greet her, taking the supplements from her hands and putting them in a proper place. Rosaline sat down warmly beside Yura and looked at her slightly rounded belly. She reached out to gently touch it and couldn't help but smile. "This must be four or five months along, right? Did the doctor say if it's a boy or a girl?" Yura glanced at the pile of supplements and gave her a playful glare. "Why'd you bring so much stuff? I'm not some kind of national treasure. Besides, I'm already fine now." "What do you mean? You're pregnant—you are the Storm Pack's treasure now! And don't forget, we agreed: once the baby's born, I get to be the godmother," Rosaline teased with a grin. Yura smiled shyly and looked at me.I went over and held her hand. Lately, my mom and I had been treating her like something precious. She wasn't allowed to do anything even slightly risky, and she'd gained a bit of weight. But her overall condition seemed much better now. Yura smiled at me, then turned to tease Rosaline back. "Of course you'll be the godmother. But when are you and Mr. Holbrook going to have a little werewolf of your own? Then we can go baby clothes shopping together." Rosaline's POV: I felt a little embarrassed by her teasing. Caden and I hadn't even thought that far ahead yet. "We're still a long way off from that," I said, smiling. "But what about you and Ryan? When are you two planning the wedding? You're already having a baby—surely you won't skip it?" Yura let out a sigh. "I'm over five months along now, and I wouldn't look great in a wedding dress. Plus, the doctor said it was a miracle that both the baby and I made it through that scare. Even now, I need to rest and avoid stress or physical strain. So Ryan and I talked it over. We're planning to wait until after the baby's born and I've recovered, then we'll have the wedding." "Exactly," Ryan said as he walked over from the dining room, setting down a plate of grapes in front of Yura and me. "Yura's been through a lot, and her health still isn't great. We figured it's best not to overdo things. Both our parents agreed too." Seeing them like this, I couldn't help but smile warmly. "I'm really happy for you both." At a time like this, I wouldn't dream of mentioning Timothy again. What could be more important than seeing my best friend find happiness? "Right now, the most important thing is taking good care of yourself and the baby. Seriously, don't let anything happen. You have no idea—when I heard you were in surgery that day, I was scared out of my mind." I gave her a mock-scolding tone as I reached over to hold her hand with genuine concern. Yura nodded. "Alright, alright, I get it. What about you? Isn't your engagement ceremony with Mr. Holbrook next month? How are the preparations coming along?" "It's almost ready. He said there are still a few details to sort out, but it should only take a few more days. Mr. Richard already finalized the guest list, and you and Ryan have to be there." "Of course!" Ryan immediately chimed in with a grin, "Yura and I will definitely be there, Rosie. Don't worry. I've got to pick up some tips while I'm at it, after all!" "What do you mean?" Yura said, giving him a playful side-eye. I stayed at the Storm Pack villa until around noon. Ryan's mother had wanted me to stay for lunch, but I politely declined since I had work to get back to at the company. As I stepped out of the villa and reached the gate, I noticed a white Porsche parked just outside. I recognized it—it was Michael's car. He was standing on the sidewalk nearby. I blinked, confused. Is this apparent heir of the Wild Pack waiting for me?
