The Despised Luna's Comeback

Chapter 504 Stay Away From Jasper

I chose to ignore the look on Jasper's face and stepped closer to his bed. "Jasper, are you okay?" "I'm fine, it's nothing serious. Thanks for asking." His gaze dimmed slightly. "If it's nothing, then we should leave." Caden, who had been standing silently beside me, suddenly spoke coldly. I was speechless. We had barely been here for a minute—who checks on a patient for such a short time? "You wait outside. I need to talk to Jasper," I said as I shoved Caden toward the door. Jasper's face lit up the moment I kicked Caden out. "Rosaline, is there something you wanted to say to me?" I looked at him and asked, "Why were you so insistent on filming tonight? You ended up like this because of it." "I didn't want to delay the production schedule," Jasper answered flatly. "But now you're injured, and that's only going to slow things down even more." I frowned, gazing down at him. "Can't you take better care of yourself?" "Sorry, I didn't expect to get hurt." Jasper looked somewhat apologetic. Then he added softly, "But I'm happy you're worried about me. It's just a small wound. Don't worry, I'll be back on set tomorrow." As he spoke, he struggled to sit up. "I can be discharged right now." "No way. You're staying here and resting tomorrow." I firmly pressed him back down onto the bed. Caden's POV: I had been waiting outside for a while, and irritation was starting to boil inside me. What on earth did Rosaline need to discuss with Jasper that required me to leave the room? Unable to hold back, I pushed the door open. I was stunned at the sight. Rosaline was leaning over Jasper with both hands on his shoulders. What the hell? Why was she in such an intimate position with another man? My expression darkened and I strode toward Rosaline. I pulled her into my arms without a word."It's late. We should go," I said sternly. Rosaline must have sensed my jealousy because she sighed helplessly and turned to Jasper. "It's decided then. Stay here and rest for a few more days. Get back to work when you're fully healed." "I don't want to hold up production," Jasper insisted. "I'm your boss, and I say you're staying," Rosaline replied, her tone leaving no room for argument. With that, she grabbed my hand and led me out of the room. As soon as we stepped outside, she mumbled under her breath, "You're so petty." I stopped in my tracks and shot her a sharp look. "What did you just say?" "Nothing." She quickly shook her head, then tugged on my arm. "Let's go home." I let out a low humph before suddenly pushing Rosaline against the corridor wall, trapping her between my arms. "What are you doing?" She looked up at me with confusion. "Finishing what we started." With that, I captured her lips in a deep kiss. "Mmph—" Rosaline tried to push me away, but I held her tighter, pulling her body against mine. Her resistance only fueled my desire to conquer her. I pried open her lips with my tongue. Our lips tangled together while our breaths intertwined. Rosaline's fragrance filled my nostrils, driving me to deepen the kiss, greedily savoring the sweetness of her mouth. "Enough ... stop ... mmh." Rosaline's body had gone weak under my kiss and she could barely support herself as she leaned against the wall. I released her reluctantly and warned, "Stay away from Jasper." Rosaline's POV: I was utterly at a loss for words at Caden's possessiveness. My interactions with Jasper were purely work-related, yet this man was throwing a jealous fit over nothing.Just as I was about to argue, a young woman's voice interrupted us. "Rosaline, do you know which room Jasper is in?" I quickly pushed Caden away and turned to see Naomi approaching. I gestured toward Jasper's hospital room. "Right there." "Thank you," she said politely, then hesitated before asking, "Is he okay?" I smiled. "It's nothing serious—just an old wound reopening. You're here to visit him this late?" Naomi's face flushed slightly as she nodded. "Yeah ... Is he really alright?" Her expression made it seem like it wasn't just a casual visit. "You should go see him. We're heading out," I said while grabbing Caden's hand and walking away. Once we got in the car, I glanced at Caden. "Don't you think Naomi and Jasper would make a good match?" "Oh?" Caden arched his brow. I mused, "She seems to care about him a lot." "What makes you say that?" I explained, "Think about it. It's late, yet she still came to visit him. Doesn't that show how much she cares?" "Is that so?" Caden's voice was laced with displeasure. "By your logic, since you also visited him this late, does that mean you care about Jasper just as much?" I was speechless. This petty man—can't we have a normal conversation?
