The Despised Luna's Comeback

Chapter 433 A Drunken Mistake

Yura's POV: The next morning, I woke up to the sunlight streaming through the window. Slowly, I opened my eyes, only to be met with a pounding headache. "Hiss!" The severed bond of my destined mate sent waves of pain coursing through my body. I sucked in a sharp breath of cold air, forcing myself to sit up as I took in my surroundings. The curtains weren't fully drawn, allowing slivers of light to filter into the room. The floor was a mess—my clothes were strewn everywhere. And mixed in with them were pieces of men's clothing. Shocked, I quickly looked down at myself. I was naked. What the hell? Am I in a hotel? How did I end up here? "Mmm ... " A familiar soft groan came from beside me. My stomach clenched. I snapped my head to the side—only to see Ryan lying next to me. Ryan? Why am I in bed with Ryan? What the hell happened last night? I touched my temples and shut my eyes tightly, trying to recall the events of last night. The memories came in flashes, like a broken film reel spinning in my head. I had been at the bar, drinking. I saw Ryan. We both drank too much. We stumbled out of the bar together. He said he'd take me home. And somehow, we ended up at a hotel and then ... Oh God. I slept with Ryan last night. My mind went blank. How did this happen? What if Timothy finds out?"He already severed the bond with us. Why are you still thinking about that jerk? Last night was fun, wasn't it?" Avril, my wolf, had woken up and spoke lazily. "Shut up." I snapped at her. Beside me, Ryan was slowly waking up too. The moment his eyes landed on me, he froze. He rubbed the back of his head awkwardly. "Yu, I ... " I bit my lip, staring at this man who was younger than me. My mind is in utter chaos. Speechless, I simply gawked at him. Ryan looked just as lost. Last night, it happened so fast that neither of us had time to process it. He stared at me, unsure of what to say. Finally, after what felt like forever, he said, "Yu, I'm sorry. But don't worry—I'll take responsibility." I closed my eyes, feeling a pang in my chest. My feelings were equally complicated. Timothy's face kept flashing in my mind. I loved him. Even though he had severed our fated bond, I still couldn't accept this. Ryan looked at me, almost pleading. I bit my lips, sucked in a deep breath, then threw off the covers and got out of bed. I pulled on my clothes without looking at him. "Whatever happened last night, I don't remember," I said, my voice cold. "And you should forget it too." I grabbed my purse and walked straight out the hotel door. Timothy's POV: Something was off about Yura today. What's wrong with her? Normally, she had tried to speak with me, even when I treated her like crap. I stole a few glances at her, frowning. I wanted to ask her what was wrong, but the words wouldn't come out. Instead, I said forcefully, "If you'd rather not be here taking care of me, then just leave. No need to make things worse." Yura snapped out of whatever thoughts had consumed her. She pressed her lips together before finally speaking. "Timothy, you don't have to treat me so awfully. You wanted to break up and sever our bond. Fine. I accept it."What? Did she finally think it through? A strange, tight feeling gripped my heart. I clenched my fists, forcing myself to swallow the question back. I kept my expression neutral as I met her gaze. "It's time you regained your composure. The outcome is for the best." Yura looked at me and asked seriously, "But you have to cooperate with Dr. Watts and complete your treatment. Once your leg heals, I won't ever bother you again. I'll let you go." She said solemnly, "I, Yura Nadine, heiress to the Galehowl Pack, swear before the Moon Goddess that I renounce my bond with Timothy Walker. Timothy, you're free." Her voice was cold as ice. And then—pain. A searing, unbearable pain tore through me, like someone was slicing through my soul with a knife, slicing into my body, a stab after another stab. Lilian's POV: "Ms. Lilian, Ms. Crawford is here." The butler stood at the doorway and reported. I was lounging on the couch, scrolling through the news on my phone when I heard Wendy had shown up uninvited. I let out a quiet scoff. Moments later, Wendy strutted into the room, the sharp click of her high heels echoing against the floor. The moment I saw her, I plastered a pleasant smile on my face. "Wendy, what a surprise! What brings you here today?" She dropped onto the couch across from me without hesitation. "Enough with the small talk. I need your help with something." I tilted my head slightly, feigning curiosity, and looked at her. "What's the matter?" Oh, I already knew why she was here. What else could bring Wendy to my door, apart from a matter concerning Rosaline? Wendy locked her eyes with me; her eyes flashed with a twinge of darkness, and she clenched her hands in her lap, her nails digging into her skin. When she spoke, her voice was low, dripping with venom. "Lilian, I need you to help me ruin that bitch. I want her completely destroyed. She has no business being near Caden." Bingo! I laughed quietly. This high and mighty princess of the Wild Pack really was an idiot. She lacked the ability to take Rosaline down herself—so here she was, running to me, begging for my help.
